327 - This Was A Triumph, I'm Making A Note Here: Huge Success

So, as Erik pointed out, I- wait, he hasn't posted the thread yet. Oh sweet *steals*.

This page is pretty damn cool, as while it doesn't quite add anything new besides Darin talking, which I may take a swing at later but right now not having eaten I'm content to say it could mean anything. I'll put my first guess in the thread title. In any case, whatever just happened wasn't subtle, and my original link to the spirit realm idea is now solidified into specifically a portal/teleporter there. Also, I really like the last panel, and surprisingly enough not for the cool blue piller of light (although that is cool too). The angle of the view and the side of the building and trees just looks really good to me, like a cool dynamic angle, the effect lines kind of make it look like its raining, but even though it isn't that and the whipping tree leaves give me a feel of this storm-like energy in the air, and I have always loved that atmosphere, plus it really underlines the sense of power in whatever it is that is going on. So yeah, I just dig the atmosphere, and good build-up, can't wait for the next page ! Now I just hope I post this before Erik realises this one is up XD.

This page is just goddamned amazing. Sarai is like EPIC HAIR THING and then darin is like MYSTERIOUS LANGUAGE and then there's a giant fucking beam of awesome shooting into the air and its like EPIC SHIT HAS JUST GONE DOWN BITCH.

I like it.

Sarai's foot/leg looks a little weird though, in her extremely awkward "OMIGODWATHEFUCK" pose.

Well then.
That's rather dramatic.
Not at all what I was expecting!

I enjoy how the atmosphere from the last page is still present in panel 1, the whole "oh, it's a nice day, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, I think I'm going to go for a walk later".
Then, panels 2-5, Magic Happens.
By panel 6 everything is darker, the trees have a lot more contrast, and it really does give the impression of a dark and stormy night.
That, in my humble opinion, was very well done.

One thing I noticed was how old, ancient, and somewhat annoyed Darin looks in panel 3 with his eyes gone completely white.
In panel 5, with his eyes back, the mark on his head a darker shade, and the way his eyes look downcast, he seems rather sad and regretful (also love the background in panel 5).

I like how the pages kept building up to this. Starts off Serious with the news, then it gets lighthearted. But then it steadily gets more serious, until the teleportation/astral telephone happens. I think it was very well done. You hardly notice the change, like, it happens naturally.

I really like how we're starting to learn more about Darin's abilities, origins and such.
