QUOTE (Swot @ Mar 11 2009, 04:25 PM)
School wise, I'm the person who learned the system and works to get A's.
I don't know if you'd call it unfair to others but I'm interested in almost anything and I try to pay attention. In my opinion it's not that hard, but my opinion is the only one I have so... PacManGhost.gif

I prefer the term geek and I do fit in.
Before you ask what the difference is, this is how it was explained to me:
Nerds: Know a little bit and brag about it so that it characterizes them.
Geek: Know more then nerds and don't talk about it. Fit in fine.

i always thought nerds were the sort who were very into some specific type of subject or other, typically science or computers, that wasn't all that popular, and may or may not rub it in others' faces, but mostly just doesn't understand social norms because they spend more times with computers than people.

Or something.

A geek is just someone who's really into some aspect of pop culture or something usually.

At least, this seemed to be the LHS standing. Our nerds rarely fit stereotypes, tho. -recalling Bartman- Dude was really good with computers but not like a total nerd-monkey. Actually a really cool guy. o3o

No problem Angel, It just kind of ticks me off when people use the nerd stereotype because I don't think it applies.

HEY HEY biggrin.gif

The link to the badges on the first post have been updated

Some of the old badges still work, however image shack, is slowly killing them, make sure you go in and update your links so that show the HP held images, that way they won't be lost by accident

SO I HAVE SPOKEN
SO MUST IT BE!!!

*clap clap*
