Zachary Gavin was in no mood to be playing such a game, and that's what the Marshall family were trying to turn it into, a game.

To be honest, there was more than enough evidence to convict Michael with. Yet here they all were, giving it one last go.

Michael to the stand first and was sworn in.

"Mr. Bloodgood. How long would you say you have known Miss. Marshall? In that time how far would you say your relationship progressed? What made you believe that this sort of conduct would be permitted with a young lady that by all accounts you had no business with?"

OOC: Not trying to ask too many questions, just thought it would be annoying if we asked one at a time

BIC: Michael sighed, looking upward to the judge's box, "Well your honor. I've known her a couple of months, hard to tell really. Your honor our relationship never progressed in a straight line, one day I just...fell in love with her, I wanted to protect her from everything and everyone that would cause her harm."

"Including carrying out a murder, I suppose? Of the man she rightfully belonged to." Zachary asked again.

"The court desires facts. Not some childish little love story."

"You want facts your honor? I'll give you facts." Michael started off bluntly, "I went over to this man's house, Yes your honor I broke in, but I did it all without thinking. I was inane, your honor. I was insane with anger at the fact that someone could be so cruel to someone so pure. When I found her I pleaded with her to leave with me. Lil accepted my offer and just as we were about to leave, the man in question came at us. My primal instinct of defense quickly mixed with my insane amount of rage, and I lost my consciousness, your honor. When I was able to get a grip on myself, we were at my house and Lil was tending to my wounds."

"So long story short, you broke into his house and you took something that didn't belong to you. Not to mention that you killed an innocent man for trying to protect his home. Is that what I'm hearing?"

Michael pushed his hair away from his face, "If that's the way you want to put it your honor, yes."

"If it pleases the court, Michael Bloodgood has released his statement in which he admitted to the crimes that he has been accused of. Has the Jury reached a verdict?"

"We have, your honor."

"And it is?" Zachary asked, with little patience left for the man before him.

"Guilty." The tiny witch replied before sitting back down and avoiding Michael's gaze.

"Michael Bloodgood." The judge bellowed. "You are no stranger to crime. However, this new case is living proof that any term in Azkaban is not likely to change your ways. For the murder of Admiral Levvit, and the removal of Liliane Marshall from her home, I hereby sentence your execution to the day of October 28th, until which time you shall remain in Azkaban. Court is adjourned, take him away."

Lil's cries could be heard from the back of the courtroom, as well as her struggle to break free from her brother's restraint.

"NO!" Michael cried out, the blood leaving his face, he looked around frantically and buried his face in his hands, trying to calm down and think. This wasn't happening, this couldn't happen, he had done the morally right thing for once, and he would pay his life for it.

Lil fought hard against her brother, and the aurors now taking Michael turned the Marshall siblings away from seeing him.

Lil cried into her brothers chest, the home health nurse Josh had arranged for her patting her back. "Cheer up dear, you've got to be strong and pull yourself back together. You'll only make yourself worse."

Lil sobbed harder. "I don't care. I want to die too...."

They took her and removed her from the courtroom, she looked back only to get one last glimpse of her beloved Michael.

Michael lost any and all restraint with that last stare.

He grabbed the auror's by the arms, struggling with everything he had.


"I..I love you!" He yelled over the people, shoving the guards out of the way, "I promise you, this won't be it, this can't be it!"
