"And what will you tell him when you've been with me?" Jason asked, grinning softly. He felt a desire to move in closer to her, but with others around, and with Hogwarts being the rumor-factory, he decided to keep his distance.

"I didn't mean to hurt him, Daddy. It was an accident...." She grinned.

[Jason Hamren]

"Ohh...clever, very clever," Jason said, narrowing his eyes in a flirtatious smirk.

"What kind of hurt are we talking about?" he asked, his eyes lighting up suggestively as he broke into a snicker.

[Keely Hamren]

"The kind where you fall out of a treehouse and land on your head." She retorted.

At that point the Headmaster leaned over towards Garrin's end of the table. "I suppose it doesn't make any difference to you that I've told your nephew that he is forbidden to talk to my daughter."

Jason beamed.

"You're inviting me up to your tree house? Not sure your father would think too much of that...."



Garrin gave a grim smile.

"On the contrary, Headmaster, I'm sure you have an excellent reason as to why my nephew isn't good enough for your daughter. I'll speak to him."

[Keely Hamren]

"He's not going to know anything about it in which to have an opinion. You said you liked being sneaky. If that's the case perhaps you'd like to try your hand at getting into the treehouse undetected. I don't think I need to tell you that if you fail...there will be nothing left to try again." She smirked.

"It has nothing to do with your nephew's worth, I assure you." He replied, and turned his attention to Aaron Bartleby, who was now sitting on the edge of the Ravenclaw table sending Keel into a fit of giggles.

"I'm sure you feel the same about your own daughter."

At that Jolene popped up between the two men. "Excuse me, Professors. I don't mean to interrupt, but I found this on Fallon's bed this morning." She replied as she slipped the now empty pregnancy test on the table between them.

"When I asked her about it she just ignored me, and said she had to talk to Jason first. I'm so worried!"

"A challenge. I accept," Jason said simply, giving a small smile.

Garrin made a bit of a face at Keely and Aaron, but all color left his face upon Jolene's announcement.

"That, er...doesn't necessarily mean anything," he said calmly to Jolene.

"And might I add, there are more discreet ways to bring about such a sensitive subject.

"Sir, I'm quite sure this is all a misunderstanding," he added, looking to the Headmaster.

[Keely Hamren]

"Go back to your seat, Miss Irving." Headmaster Parrish told her as he incinerated the box discreetly on the table.

"Jason. Fallon. In my office. NOW." He hissed between his teeth.

"Headmaster, if I may, I'll join you," Garrin said quietly, doing his best to not jump to conclusions. He had to admit, however, Jason was certainly the sort to end up in this situation.


Jason swallowed hard but put on a brave face, assuming that Parrish had just heard the rumor. This likely wouldn't be pretty.

"That's entirely up to you." The Headmaster told Garrin as he ushered the other two up the stairs and into his office.

"So I'm going to sit here, until Jason gives me the correct answer as to why we're all here. You may start whenever you like." He motioned to the boy.

"I'm not entirely sure, Sir," Jason started. Garrin gave him worried looks, but Jason kept his focus on the Headmaster.

"But I've just received some alarming news myself. Perhaps that's why we're here. Jolene Irving has been spreading some rumors about herself, Fallon, and me. I had it from my cousin Keely that the rumor is Fallon is pregnant with...with my child, and Fallon told me that Jolene said it was her that's pregnant...with my child. Both rumors are entirely false, and I'd be willing to take veritaserum to prove my innocence, Sir."
