Destiny was in the library, just studying. She had the sudden urge to learn up on charms, but it was her favorite class afterall. The book she held in her hands was not resting on the table, but rather up in her face. Maybe she had read this before, but it couldn't hurt to go over it again. She was very into reading it at the moment, and didn't realize anyone or anything around her. This post has been edited by Destiny Parker on Jun 26 2009, 04:48 PM

Alice stepped into the Library and looked around. There were hundreds of books, so many Alice wasn't sure where to look! Well, she could learn about the history of the magical world(she'd have to sooner or later), but the shelves in that aisle were too bare, and most of the books that were there looked too thick and boring for her. She sighed and searched through the multitude of bookshelves, becoming more and more confused as she walked, until she stopped at a familiar aisle. 'Mythology', and not just any mythology, Greek myths! She grinned to herself and pulled one of the books down. Now that she had a book, she scanned the tables in hopes of finding an empty one. No such luck, most of the tables were full of students. However, there was one table that was free. It only had one girl, a Gryffindor, by the look of her uniform. Alice walked towards it and pulled out one of the chairs, sitting across from the other girl, who had her nose in a text-book, and began to read the introduction of her own book as quietly as she could manage.

For a few minutes after the girl had sat at the same table Destiny already had seated herself, she hadn't noticed her at all. But finally, her senses kicked in and she realized someone else was there. She let her book come down just a little so she could see her, and studied her quickly. She did look familiar but Destiny could swear she hadn't seen her before. But when she realized the girl was a Gryffindor - the same as herself - she let the odd feeling drop, assuming she had just briefly seen her in the common room or somewhere before.
"Why, hello." Destiny greeted with a friendly smile. She set her book down on the table. "I'm Destiny, and you are?" She asked, hoping the girl didn't know her already - making Destiny look a bit forgetful. Even though she could be sometimes.

"Hi Alice." Destiny said, leaning foward toward her. "What are you reading?" She asked, looking at the book. For a moment, that aggravating thought that she had seen and spoken with Alice already got to her. Back in her mind for a few minutes. But she did what she had before with the feeling, telling herself they were both Gryffindor. Of course she may had seen her around. Maybe some small conversation that they had both forgotten about.

"Oh, cool." Destiny said, after heard the title of the book Alice held. "Nope, good guess - I'm not. I'm a second year. Is this your first year here?" Destiny asked, growing curious about Alice. Curiousity was common for Destiny. Sometimes it wasn't always a good thing to be so curious, though. As they say, curiousity killed the cat. "My first year, I had a terrible time at getting around. This place is so huge."

| QUOTE | | "I'm not that obvious, am I?" She asked. |
"Nah, I'm just a good guesser - like you." Destiny reassured Alice with a smile, not wanting her to feel bad or anything along the lines. Most of the people she hung out with were all older than her. It felt nice to be around someone younger, even if it wasn't by much.
"Ha. I actually did break curfew a few times. Not that I'm suggesting you do the same though." Destiny told her, a brief thought of Alex slipping into her mind. Quickly it faded away, as she focused more on Alice.
