Professor MacLeod stood in front of the class with a hand full of pebbles and then tossed them up sending the tiny stones flying and watched them as they landed, some rolling away others landing on the floor and forming a shape. "What I have just done is called Geomancy. It is a system of divination that employs the scattering of pebbles, grains of sand, or seeds on the earth and then the interpretation of their shape and position. Now what item you choose to toss does have some effect on what shape it takes when it hits the ground. Pebbles may roll such as mine did and land harder then if you were too toss tiny seeds. Now let us have a look at what form my pebbles have taken. "Professor MacLeod said as she walked to the little stones now lying on her classroom floor.
Ainsley looked down and her tiny stones looked a little like "Hmmm well to me this shape looks like the sun or a messed up circle. This looks more like the muggle artist Picasso tossed this." She said with a slight giggle. Now one can look at this different ways such as I see the sun(she points out a circle) and then I see the rays of light coming from it(points out a broken line next to the circle). To me that would mean my days ahead will be happy and great things will shine down on me. Now what you see may be totally different and that is ok. Each person will not see the same thing. Now it is all of your turns to see what the pebbles or seeds or light dirt have in store for your future. Please I would like for each of you to take a hand full from one of the bowls on your table give it a light toss, make sure it does stay next to you, and then write down what you think you see and then share it with your classmates." The professor explained as she cleaned up her own mess.
