Title: An Owl for Sean Sacrat
Caryn Weasley - August 28, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
Frowning mildly in hestation, Caryn made her way up to the owlery, to deliver a letter meant for a student. It felt strange enough reporting the fight to Professor Hamren, and even though he took it upon himself to handle the situation with Cody, he informed her that she had the authority to dish out punishment herself. Of course, that was after he gently snapped at her for neglecting to inform him of his son's condition the night before. Everyday is a learning process....
Authority was a whole new responsibility for Caryn. She was so used to being the receiver of punishment, rather than the giver. She thought more than once about simply reporting Sean to Professor Slughorn, but if she was going to be taken seriously by the students, she needed to assert her authority and take responsibility for the information given to her.
She sighed softly, and called Quintley down.
"Got something for you, love," she said sweetly, giving the brown-spotted owl a treat before attatching the letter to his leg. The dated letter read:
To Mr. Sean Sacrat,
It has come to my attention that yesterday afternoon you were involved with a
duel and/or physical violence with another student. Kindly come to the infirmary
at seven o'clock tomorrow morning for questioning regarding said event.
Nurse C. Weasley
ooc: closed for Sean if he wishes to reply.
Sean Sacrat - August 28, 2007 08:02 AM (GMT)
Dear Nurse Weasley
In all due respect i must ask what questioning is needed? Cody Hamren attacked me and although i do not condone what i called his father I stand by it was impulse and not deserving of attack...
Although i did retaliate with the idiot's choice of violence I stand by my actions as lawfull self-defence, if you wish to argue so be it but you must put into consideration who started this event that led to Cody's injury.
Yours Truly,
Sean Sacrat
Sean called Bladewing down and attached the letter to it's leg, the owl flew away its Black shape flying to deliver the message...
Now to wait.
Nurse Caryn Weasley - August 28, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
Ah, smart mouth, that one, Caryn thought with a sigh, though she couldn't help but smirk at the boy's response. The return letter had been delivered through the infirmary window, at Caryn's desk.
Stand firm, Caryn...don't waver...you're the one who's in charge here!
With a soft little sigh, she began to write.
Mr. Sean Sacrat,
While I understand the need for self-defense
She stopped, crumpled up the parchment, brought out a clean sheet, and tried a new angle.
Mr. Sean Sacrat,
Thank you for your response. The meeting I have requested held the purpose of
gaining your side of what actually occured during the event. If you choose not to
appear, I will take fifty points from Slytherin. If you choose to appear at the
mentioned time, however, I will lessen that number by at least half.
Good-day to you,
Nurse C. Weasley
Sean Sacrat - August 28, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
Dear Nurse Weasley
I would of appeared but now I see it might not be in my best interest's seeing that i lose points for my house whether i turn up or not, If you rectify this maybe i will, but of course that is totally up to you and depends on whether reason penetrates that threat.
I care for my house but i will not have points removed for complying with you as it is out of order and completely unnecersary.
Yours Truly,
Sean Sacrat
Nurse Caryn Weasley - August 28, 2007 04:48 PM (GMT)
Suddenly feeling a bit sorry for yelling at Jason Jones for picking on a first year, Caryn immediately replied.
Mr. Sacrat,
I gave you your chance the upon sending my first letter. If you had complied, you
wouldn't have lost any points. You've made your choice, however, and Slytherin
looses fifty points on your behalf for noncompliance.
Nurse C. Weasley
ooc: haha, this reminds me of work...or rather, what used to be my work. Just got done working at a day camp, and we used this sort of point system...which reminded me of house points at Hogwarts...lol I'm a dork, I know.
Sean Sacrat - August 28, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
Dear Nurse Weasley
As i write this letter i am yawning as this is a classic situation, but very well you have made your decision and it would be wrong of me to try and change your mind but of course now you can't question me so either way i win. But i must say this conversation through mail has been interesting... Very interesting, Of course now there is no point in me turning up since Slytherin have lost the points, a shame i must say...
Signed
Sean Sacrat
Hopefully the red would get her attention at how serious he was at this and how he wasn't going to give in.
Nurse Caryn Weasley - August 28, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
Caryn laughed softly to herself upon reading Sean's last reply. It didn't matter to her if he showed up or not. She left the choice up to him, and she wasn't about to be bullied by a cheeky little first year. The consequences had been dealt out, and whether or not Sean thought it was unfair, Caryn had done her job properly. She was reasonably sure her dad would be quite proud of her. She wrote no response, as in her opinion, the matter had been dealt with and needed no more attention.
"Mental note," she mumbled to herself, as she tucked Sean's letter away into a folder for record-keeping, then finished her statement in thought, keep a sharp eye out for Mr. Sacrat.
