Tenrai Vs Corrupted, let's do this Wing style

Floating above the Earth, Gerrard, shakes his head, hoping the new wing system will work out now, having been mostly disabled by the traitorous, conniving....Gerrard bites back the rest of the comment and concentrating on the task at hand, a fight. Reaching up to touch a healing wound across his right cheek, Gerard sighs softly as he hits the visor of his helmet.

As Zander slowly guided Legion back into the void of space, newly repaired from the failure from before, he spotted his opponent already prepared and used the frontal verniers to slow the mecha to a semi-halt. Opening the basic comm channel, Zander set all of his combat systems to online and at the ready. "Pleasure to make your aquaintance. My name is Zander Steele, and you'll be fighting Legion today." he said as he commanded Legion to perform a formal bow.

"Are you prepared to begin? I wish you the best of luck, s unlucky as that is." he finished talking and switched the comm off with a bit of conversation, which he attributed to giving the pilot of the opposing machine the benefit of a formal and mannerful duel.

Gerrard reaches up and grabs the saber out of of the reacharge rack and provides the man with a formal fencer's salute. This done, Gerrard grabs the hybrid assault rifle and floats back from his opponent. Waiting patiently, Gerrard smiles and opens the channel, "Name is Knighten and this is Gale. Best of luck and an honorable duel" Gerrard was almost amused by this Zander, but at the same time respected him greatly for the way he conducted business. Waiting patiently, Gerrard looks at the young man, the shield on his left arm ready to go all out if needed.

releasing the locks from his shield, he turned Legion's left arm around to grab it, locking it down on the forearm. Then, with a motion of the right hand, Legion grasped the sword at its waist and pulled it smoothly from its scabbard. Movig the arms back into position and seeing the Gale position its weapons for combat, Zander calculated his move.

The opposing mecha looked more advanced then his own, and the pilot was probably more skilled. He hoped he could, if odds were against him too much, at least provide a worthy challenge. Legion nodded its head as if acknowledging the other machine, then tilted forward as the flight system came online, giving Legion a short burst to accelerate him, not forward, but to the left, shoulder-mounted vulcan guns opening up and firing a concentrated burst of machinegun fire straight at Gale's neck area.

Flicking the beam assault wing system online, Gerrard brings the shield up just in time to encase the Gale in a protective barrier, stopping the attack cold. Smiling he adjusts the power scheme to match the shields and circles to his left to mirror the opponent in front of him, wrapped inside the caccoon of energy. This done, he fires six beam darts from the wings at his opponent.

He expected his attack to be blocked, but that didn't stop him from being surprised by the show of beam technology. He would have to remind himself to add some tweaks to Legion to cope with the growing popularity of beam weaponry and shields.

He used Legion's shield to take the impact of two of the darts, then managed to maneuver his sword enough to connect with two more. The remaining two struck his left leg under the nee joint and on his right midsection, causing slight damage to the armor there.

In retaliation, Legion's boosters engaged, bringing it withing melee distance. The longsowrd-style blade was slashed twice the Gale, ending with the blade crossing Legion to the left, where the right arm guard opened up and revealed the shotgun hidden there. Zander let loose two shells, hopefully still at point-blank range.

Gerrard shakes his head and flies up and adjusting the tilting of the horizontal axis, firing his thrusters to reposition the Gale. Tilting the Gale into a position above and behind and fires twelves of the darts at the back of the unit, aiming for the flight unit of the enemy machine.Staying behind the beam assault wings' shield mode, Gerrard aimed his attacks with precision.

Quick to move out of the way, Zander watched Gale soar away. Tracking it, Zander steered Legion around and away from most of the darts, the two remaining smashing against his shield, which was starting to shor some damage now. Pressing a switch in the cockpit, the energy lens on Legion charged and built energy quickly as Zander aimed, releasing two blast of intense laser cannon fire at Gale.

Speaking into the comm system Gerrard speaks the first words of the combat, "Amateur moves will not save you, cannons for instance. You are using them wrong." Gerrard adjusts the thrusters and heads down towards the ground. "Plus, you shield will not hold out forever." Gerrard opens the wings and fires twelve darts again, this time following it with a ballistic shell above and to the left, a beam rifle shot to the right and bottom and a grenade fired right into the middle.

As he prepared to dodge, Zander thought of a proper retort to this person''s words. It was certainly true that he wasn't using a Beam cannon in any unique or inventive way, ut that's not how he designed Legion to run. Legion ran on honor.

Stepping up on thruster control, Zander led Legion away from the shell, slid past the beam attack, and smacked the grenade with his shield all the while dodging the continuous flow of beam darts. There were pieces from his shield now roken and floating away, but it didn't concern Zander. LEgion had sufferes two more hits to the right arm and leg, blackening the metal and sending a small scale of sparks away into space.

"You are one to talk about amateur moves, sir." Zander spoke into the comm system after the maneuvers were cleared, "You dodge and hide behind an energy shield while firing those beams. All of that energy must be draining to your suit, so I know that you won't last forever yourself."

Charging the weapons systems again, Legion shot for the Gale, a diagonal slash once in range followed by a strong kick towards the midsection and a burst of Vulcan fire.

Snorting in disgust at the young man, Gerrard ignites the beam saber in the Gale's right hand and opens the shield and activates the beam saber there. Moving to block the sword attack with his right hand, Gerrard smiles as he aims the saber's growing blade at the side of the knee where it would impale and disable the knee if the opponent continued either attack. Shaking his head, "I can stop holding back if you like, however, you are falling for these taunts very well without me doing much." Killing the beam wings, Gerrard then fires a ballistic rifle shot and some vulcan fire at the cockpit of the oncoming machine, waiting until almost the last moment.

Since this is the second time i've been forced to do this, I elect that I recieve no reward for this match. I'm sorry, but I'm burned out from RL things and I can't RP properly at this time.)
