Passing the Time [Open]

As Leander implied with his hand gestures, Yoli glanced over to see a ride that was also in the hangar. For a while, she simply stared. Then, shaking her head, she raised a brow.

'That's a rare luxury... He must be filthy rich to own one. ...I might break something while I'm inside. Who knows what the repairs would cost...'

She shifted her weight from one foot to the other.

'But he did offer... Only this once then. That's it. Man, I don't even really care for these things... They're so clunky and their handling is awful. ...Why am I still thinking about this? Get a grip!'

"Some ride you have there."

Yoli started towards the car with the others, taking on a steady pace. She had a feeling by Leander's flowery language that she would be getting an earful about it by the end of the trip. So much that she'd probably be tuning out half of the conversation. But that was alright with her. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" was a common phrase back home. She could live with it.

Margaret concerns had gone up yet again, when she heard the location was a bar. "Um...can we go someplace else? I'm still underage by Balire law, when it comes to alcoholic beverages." She didn't want to put a damper on the mood, not like it would worsen it any. The vehicle seemed like an antique, which caused Margaret to wonder where it came from. To maintain such technology must cost a lot. Never mind the cost of fuel for it. Reaching the vehicle Margaret stared at the side of it. Never seeing tech like this, she had no clue on how to get in.

Technology around here is scattered about. Few people have electricity, running water and indoor plumbing. Leander must come from a very well doing house to afford something like this. Still I can't help but fell that he is after something.

"Haha...young lady..you forgot somethings..." Leander said as he began to follow the two ladies that walked, step by step, approaching his gleaming orange vehicle. "Being a pilot, we are not allowed to consume alcohol within 24hours of a mission. So, today, we'll be going into a bar alright, but not consuming alcohol. That is, however, unless you dont bars itself and prefer to go to a cafe?" He questioned, explaining and revising himself on certain military rules and regulations.

Yoli restrained herself from rolling her eyes. She cast a blank glance at Margaret and then back to Leander. Given, she'd just met them, but...

'Do I really want to bother with this?'

Her question became all but rhetorical as they made it to the cab. From afar, it had appeared pretty boring. Just a trinket rich, lazy people with too much time on their hands and coins in their pockets collected to show off to other equally engrossed individuals. Up close was another story. The faintest admiration touched her face in the arch of an eyebrow.

"Bar or cafe. It really doesn't matter to me..."

'Let's just go already.'

"A cafe would be more preferred in this situation. At least at a cafe we can have something to drink, and eat. Not to mention look less out of place." Margaret had probably dodged a built, and a few drunks at the same time. Margret shrugged off the reminder on Balires piloting and military code. It wasn't like that part applied to her at least not for a few more years.

Seeing the orange painted car more clearly. Margaret was having less doubt that Leander was from a well to do family. "I hope that veichle of yours is safe?" She was having a hard time believing a relic vehicle was safe to be driving around. Sighing, Margaret was wondering if leaving the base grounds was such a good idea.

With the two women showing a certain degree of interest, Leander smiled and followed up with his original plan. "Dont worry. It is safe...unless my brother is infront of the wheel." He said with a slight giggle before he walked up to the orange vehicle, deactivating its locks allowing its doors to be opened and closed. "C'mon. Lets go!" He said before he sat in the drivers seat, awaiting the two women to take their seats.

Yoli feigned a smile out of politeness. She hopped in the back with a little hesitation. The inside was just as glamorous as the outside and she felt spoiled.

"How did you happen upon one of these anyway?"

'Seriously, for something so old, it looks like it's brand new. The repairs would be extreme. Everything would have to be custom made and that adds up...'

Hearing an unlocking sound coming from the vehicle, Margaret watched as the other two got in. She wasn't sure if she wanted to drive in the front with Leander, or in the back with the other woman. She eventually decided to get into the back seat of the vehicle. Looking around she saw something coming out of the cushion, and something over her shoulder. Placing one and one together, she connected the two devices with a click. I guess its some sort of safety harness.

"Oh you have an older brother. That must be nice to have some one to teach you things. I hope you don't mind me asking Mr. Reinberg, but what did you do before you became a G Knight ?" It was an obvious question with no hidden details to it, if she was going to work with the man. She might as well get some background on him.
