Name: Markku "M-15" Uusis
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Blonde
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 213
Appearance: Quite a well built man, Markku stands like a giant to most. His good posture aids this, most other men his size or taller shrink themselves by slouching. Markku though, wouldn't stand for it. His built is on the leaner side, but his muscles are clearly toned. Often found wearing gear suitable for being outside in the winter with black calf-high boots, thick pants with plenty of room for a warm air blanket, and similarly designed outer coat and a hoodie underneath. Usually his regalia is in some sort of earthy tone, ranging from browns to greens but sometimes grays and black. He also has a competition outfit without the hoodie and coat. Instead, he wears a neon green a-shirt with black pants and boots that match his shirt.

Personality: Markku is pretty reclusive, although friendly and mostly conversational with anyone he meets. He definitely values his private time, and uses it for meditation and personal reflection. He is perfectly content to be lost in any wilderness, but has a preference for colder climates. Although Markku enjoys being planetside, some of his family history is deeply rooted in the quest to bring the human race to the edges of the galaxy. He has spent much time in space and shares an appreciation for it as though it were another cold tundra. The emptiness of space never ceases to inspire the spiritual side of Markku. Beware his anger if ever you were to cross his sense of morality. He is fair and accepting of almost all actions, but there are times when trust is involved in which he sometimes becomes unusually sensitive.

Bio: Markku heirs from a family that was one of the remaining middle class families left on Earth after the deportation of most earthborn citizens to space colonies. His lineage is one of great intellectuals and some well respected mobile armor pilots. One of his great-great-great grandfathers was a well regarded laser optician who became aware of the philosophies of an Earthborn writer who emigrated to a space colony orbiting Jupiter shortly before the Colonial declaration of independence. Another of his great grandmothers living at about the same time was a highly skilled computer programmer and wrote some of the code that would be used in the Colonial military mobile armor OSs. Other patriarchs of his family served on both sides of the multiple Home Wars as fighter pilots. Many of them held a long discipline of being in military families and they passed this heritage along from generation to generation. The namesake of Markku's family was an ace pilot during the second Home War between the various colonies and Earth. He scored many of his kills during a four month siege of Earth. The military side of Markku's family was also deeply spiritual.

Both of his grandparents on his mother's side were in the ministry. Although the two grandparents did practice very different belief systems they found a working balance between the two and to what they felt was a deeper understanding of the universe because of such differences. His mother herself was very spiritual herself and also practiced martial arts. Her father had ushered her into his dojo for the first time as soon as she could walk. She practiced both the physical and mental disciplines of the martial arts she studied and became very understanding of people's differences from doing such. The differences between her mother and father also had a part to play in her overall demeanor, where her father taught a military discipline her mother brought a discipline of love into her daughter's heart and mind. Both of these disciplines were instilled in Markku from a young age.

Markku's father was an Earthborn mobile suit mechanic who later took his skills to the arenas of mobile armor tournaments and ran a shop that customized mobile suits. It was from his father, Jesper Ussis, that Markku was given the knowledge, tools and starting frame to become the mobile suit mechanic that he is today. Markku has a good understanding of the mechanics and engineering of mobile suits from his father and has put some of this knowledge to use in modifying his own mobile suit. His father was also his inspiration to begin competing in mobile suit tournaments. In Markku's early days Jesper was his son's mechanic, showing him how to repair various types of damage and introducing him to some owners of full blown repair facilities that Markku may need to make use of later on in his career. Jesper also taught Markku the basics of piloting a mobile suit, and in teaching him the basics alone Markku took up near endless practice behind the controls of his suit. Markku would bound off into the wilderness and sometimes not return for days at a time. When he would return he'd be scolded, but after just a few voyages like that Markku had worked up the guts to show off some truly spectacular maneuvers with his mobile suit. The display also convinced Markku's parents that it was probably for the best that he stayed away from home when practicing like that, so they shifted their attention to packing him lunches for his practice sessions.

Despite his ability to control his his mobile suit he was much more proficient as a mechanic. He spent his time upgrading old systems with parts he bought or found rather than investing in a newer mobile suit frame. Most of his upgrades have been in the actual mechanics of his mobile armor so it reacts more quickly to his piloting. He has also managed to generate some increased output from his suit's power core. The increased power output marginally increases the suits speed and the power output of its beam cannons. The increases are not too significant, where a similar suit would be going top speed Markku's suit only exceeds that by another 10km/h or so. Where the beam rifles may ordinarily damage but not penetrate, Markku's cut through just a bit more. He has also refashioned the pilot area. When the original chest cannon was removed from this suit, Markku went in and added another layer of armor and made the cavity the new cockpit. Now most of the sensor arrays have been placed in the head and a second cooling unit takes some some headroom away from the cockpit.

Sample Post: The sun shone in through the curtains in Markku's room. That wasn't surprising, he was staying with his family within the Arctic Circle and it was the middle of summer. He slipped out from under his sheets and plopped down to the floor from his loft bed. With a quick turn executed like a ballet dancer, he turned a half rotation and flipped on the terminal underneath his bed. The usual text advertising and diagnostics went through their routine while Markku turned back to his dresser on the other side of the room. He opened the drawer and pulled out a hardly neat stack of clothes. One outfit, primed and ready was quickly laying siege to Markku's body. He turned his attention back to his terminal and brought up a few messaging services. One pending message from the five services he used caught his attention.

Report to local Lybanian embassy by September 26, RE 37

Well, I guess its time to move on to some new adventure. Its been nice up here in the arctic, but working for dad just isn't cutting it. I've got to get on and do something with my life.

"Hey dad!" Markku belted out, "I found a job as a pilot!" His father Jesper came in the room with a great grin across his face. It looked as though someone had taken a whiteboard and hung it from Jesper's nose.

"Congratulations son. Where are you headed?"

"Lybania. The message was encrypted when I got it, and looked important so I opened it up. I don't know how anyone in Lybania got a hold of my name, but I'm sure they're ready to reimburse me for my troubles!" Markku was giddy with excitement. He began packing as soon as his father left the room. When his mother got home, Markku hit her with the news. She was ecstatic and full of sorrow all at the same time. She wept on her son and on her husband, but did everything she could to prep her only son for travel. When morning came again, Markku was already off in his Calamity. With the suit backlit by the sun, Markku's parents watched their boy leave home for possibly the last time. Markku, emboldened by this thought, and the thought of untold riches and fame, marched his suit onward into the sun. The march would be a long road south and east, but he knew of a couple passes that would be easier on his suit.

Well I started to read your character, and well so far,

Name, Age, all that good.

Appearance, and Personality, good, but you need to proof read them, towards the end of the appearance, things started falling apart.

Bio: ... I didn't even get done with the first paragraph. If you read the story of GVD, you will notice quite quickly, we are not tied to any of the canon universes, and your bio starts off by quoting events of the UC Universe, as well as characters from it. I don't know how far these references go into the bio, but they have to be removed.

Anyways, add a reply when that is done, and I will look over it again man.
