Gundam Vagrant Destiny

-- Version Information --
While certain aspects of this version of Gundam Vagrant Destiny have been covered else where, other information shall be covered here. This is required reading, so please read the entire thing before you asks questions that have been answered here.

- The State of the World -
In the storyline of this game, there was an apocalyptic war fought 120 years ago. This war destroyed everything the world had been, and reduced the world mostly to the point of dark ages Europe. Some technology still exists, though its functionality has been on the decline ever since the war.

- G Knights -
The mobile weapons, also known as G Knights, are weapons that remain active from the war 120 years ago. These units run on a now lost form of self sustaining power generation. New G Knights cannot be produced, and as such they are either recovered or maintained. The G Knights that still exist are extremely powerful. G Knights are also considered national treasures, so they are not just easily obtainable by the general public. To be a G Knight pilot, you are considered a loyal member of a kingdom. So no out, and out mercenaries, or "free spirited" traitors.

- Piloting a G Knight -
G Knights are not piloted like typical machines or Gundams. They do not use a mobile trace system either. Instead, G Knights use mental controls. While piloting a G Knight, the pilot is suspended inside a special fluid matrix that allows a pilots consciousness to take over the G Knight. While inside the fluid matrix, the pilot is also protected from the rigors of both G forces, as well as the violent shaking that in ordinary Gundams that can cause trauma to the pilot. Piloting a G Knight is not easy, and it also requires a special type of person to pilot a G Knight, as the Fluid Matrix cannot be controlled by just anyone. Please remember this while creating your characters. You will have been tested at some point, and a G Knight will have had to accept you as a pilot.

- Repairing a G Knight -
With the ability to build new machines lost, as well as most of the ability to repair them, maintaining a G Knight is rather expensive. When a G Knight takes damage in battle, when battle ends, the damage is not automatically repaired. You must pay for a machines hits to be recovered. When a G Knight falls, it cannot be resurrected. Now to the bright side, the G Knights, have massive amounts of hits. They can withstand a lot of punishment before they fall.

- Parts and Weapons -
Similar to a G Knights hits, the weapons, and systems are not repaired after a battle. Once they are lost, they are lost. Sorry but the state of the world stops replacement parts from being built. Now, you ask what can you do about this, and the answer is simple, Explore, and Salvage the Ruins of Manter. By doing so you can earn replacement weapons and systems to purchase, and add on to your G Knight.

- Exploration -
Exploration in and of itself will grant a special kind of experience. With this kind of experience, a kingdom can regain knowledge that was lost because of the war, and even begin to gain back capabilities to make parts. You will want to explore often.

- Salvage -
Salvaging allows a player to try to find a dead G Knight, and get usable parts from the remains to use on their own machines. This will be how most of you will acquire equipment for a while. When you acquire enough of this special kind of experience you will be able to pick between 3 parts chosen at random for a single part to gain.

I will add more to this post as needed.
