History:
Maria was born as all Coordinators are, in a laboratory surrounded by the couple who supplied her genetic material. Maria was engineered to be an intellectual, having been engineered to have a higher learning capacity as well as an increased stamina required for the long hours of lab work. Maria grew up like any other child, living in the relative safety of the PLANTs with her parents, who had already pre-ordained her to become a scientist. As Maria grew she began to tinker with her toys, eventually, she had built a small archaic robot out of parts from her dolls, a few rubber bands, and some pieces of her father's watch.

When Maria went to college, she majored in robotics, getting her Ph.D in a record time of six years, once she had her doctorate, she left the PLANTs for the United Emirates of Orb, choosing to avoid the Coordinator/Natural conflict all together rather than risk becoming entangled in the political web that intertwined the ZAFT and Earth Alliance forces. Maria went to work for the Morgenroete company as a robotics and cybernetics engineer, Eventually she would become enbroiled in a project to develop a useable cybernetic replacement for those Naturals and Coordinators who were crippled during fighting.

During her search for effective test subjects for her cybernetic replacements program, Maria ran into Zacharias Mathenson, an aged mobile weapons designer for Orb's Peacemaker Forces. Eventually she created a replacement for his leg, amputating the useless appendage in order to graft a new, working leg for the older man, as well as reinforcing his right arm and side inorder to repair what damage had been done during his lifetime.

History:
Christine was born in Orb's Heliopolis colony, she lived your average life, growing up in the loving sheltered world of two overly protective parents. Her father worked as a mobile suit engineer, while her mother ran a small resteraunt that her mother's family had owned for almost thirty years. Soon, the EA struck first, hitting the small agricutural colony of Junious Seven with a nuclear missile strike, whiping out the entire colony in a single, glorious moment. Soon after Junious Seven was destroy, ZAFT declared open war against the EA, and launched their mobile suit forces against the power of the Earthnoids.

When Christine was but twelve, and the war between ZAFT and the EA was burning like a bonfire, when her father was trapped in the explosion of a mobile suit's vulcan pod during a test firing. The metal casing of the vulcan gun exploded into shearing hot shrapnel and cut through her father's left side, completely cutting off his arm at the elbow, and slicing between two of his ribs, doing severe damage to his internal organs. He would have died had it not been for the medics who had kept him alive until he had reached the hospital. Christine and her mother where there beside her father the entire time he was in the hospital. Christine and spent almost six years of her life in a hospital with her father, when he urged her to find something to take pride in. She soon left the hospital and went to the United Emirates of Orb.

There, she eeked out a meager existance, working in a restaraunt much like her mother's. Soon, a group of Orb soldiers came to her restaraunt, one of the more detached soldiers was an older man with a rather bad limp. She felt sorry for him, remembering her father's own problems moving about. One of the soldiers, a smooth-talking and conserved man, soon convinced her into joining Orb's mobile suit forces, where she then applied for the Peacemaker Forces, and was assigned the title of Peacemaker 'One'.
