Gundam Vagrant Destiny

As it has been stated many times before, Gundam Vagrant Destiny is not your typical message board game. Not only because of the unique levels of character control, but as well its foot holds in reality. We take great pride in these qualities, and what they do for our game. In accordance to this tradition, we have this additional rule for the players to follow. This rule while it may seem difficult at first really is probably the simplest to follow.

You must live out your character’s life on the board.

When you aren’t in the field fighting you wouldn’t vanish into thin air. Your character would have other things they would be working on, whether it is something as mundane as doing laundry, hanging out with their teammates, or studying the weapon specs of their machine. It is these actions you must play out as well with your character.

Now some of you will be tempted to ask, why should I bother? There is a simple answer to this, what would any gundam story be without the time spent out of the cockpit? Nothing. That is the simple answer to that question. If Gundam was nothing more then machine on machine action, no one would really watch it. The series would be little more then a Saturday morning cartoon that few if any would follow.

Your character can, and will gain additional experience for doing non-combat sequences.

Non-Combat RPs are to take place in the same region that you are currently located in. There is a chance that they will be interrupted by combat, but that is reality. Just because your character is sleeping in their bunk it doesn’t mean the area is safe. As a side note to this, do not attempt to kill a character outside of their mobile suit while you are piloting one. This is one of these rules that must be followed at all times. If it is not there will be extreme repercussions.

Also please note, you can only be in one place at a time. If you wish to do a Memory RP you can, but otherwise you can only post in one RP topic at a time. You cannot be everywhere. That would be like sitting on the computer in your room typing a message while spontaneously being outside washing the car, it is not possible. So please remember that.
