Julian had been on the move ever since his departure from his hometown. The boy had evacuated the country of Canada after facing the resistance in order to remain undetected. Alice had come along because the two of them decided that it was her choice to participate in the fighting and if she wished to intervene in the worldwide conflict, then Julian had to respect her desire so long as Margarita allowed the young girl to join their crew and cause. The boy was resting in his bedroom on board the Ptolemaios, weary from all of the recent fighting. First the rise of the resistance, and now having to face the Innovators and their powerful VEDA-powered mobile suits.
Alice had been helping out on the bridge but reported to Julian once she was finished there with Margarita and the rest of the crew members. "You look tired," Alice remarked, looking down at the fatigued young boy who was fanned out on his soft white mattress. She rested her bottom on the soft material and waited for Julian to look up from his trance. "Miss Margarita said that we would be landing soon, but she didn't say how soon or where exactly we would be landing. She mentioned something about stopping in a place where the climate is very cold so she thought that she would tell everybody to dress warm," she informed, handing to Julian a white coat.
"Thanks," Julian said as he accepted the warm white coat. He could already feel the temperature dropping a very remarkable degree; it was astounding. The Ptolemaios retained an almost-constant temperature but it seemed that it had not been closed off from the cold environment effective immediately, allowing for some of the cold to escape into the spaceship. Once Julian had sat up, he put on the coat and for the next little while, discussed with Alice what would happen next in regards to Celestial Being, the Innovators, and Yggdrasil, the new resistance that had just come into existence not very long ago. "It'll be a lot of work fighting both of them," he added.
Finally, the Ptolemaios had climbed above sea level and was now using its camouflage to keep itself from being detected by the satellites in outer space and to prevent the military from discovering their whereabouts. Julian and Alice walked across the hallway and traveled to the observatory level on board the blue spaceship to look out at the exposed sea. All that was visible was blue water for as long as they could see. Another few minutes passed by before they started to see snow appear in the distance. "Is that an iceberg?" Alice asked, looking to a large white mass poking out of the surface of the steady water. "It is an iceberg," she confirmed.
It seemed that they had entered the Antarctic region on the Earth. Why they had traveled so far south was beyond Julian, but it must have been for a reason. Animals could now be seen outside and beyond the window. Alice smiled delightfully at the pleasant view, watching the peaceful scenery as it passed by underneath the soaring Ptolemaios. Finally, it was announced that the spaceship would be arriving at its destination shortly. "We should get to the bridge," Julian suggested, wanting to know why they had come so far. There was only one possible meaning to this sudden need to travel such a great distance on such short notice, but he wanted to be sure.
