The city has been ravaged by the rising resistance and many civilians now lived under the ruling anti-government power. A variety of mobile suits have been positioned around the small region inside the city where the resistance had originated, protecting the rebellious faction from attackers on the outside. The weather is excessively warm and humid; the skies are clear without any view of clouds in sight; the setting is dark and gloomy; pale moonlight covers the scenery below. As the resistance notices the appearance of a mobile suit in the distance, they order those on duty to examine the impending danger and the mobile suits belonging to the anti-government forces immediately get to work.

Cecil was already at work after he had been paged by Margarita from the Ptolemaios. Cherudim had launched from its hidden location and arrived on the scene shortly after it had departed. The green Gundam rested in the forested land just outside of the city, observing the place very carefully before taking action. "Alright, partner. It looks like it's time to take action." Cecil said to Haro who was sitting in his seat. The rifle was pulled down from its docking position above the seat and raised just above the pilot's eye. The cross hairs were carefully aligned with the targets and when the light indicated that it was good to go, Cecil prepared to pull the trigger and open fire.

"Cherudim Gundam, Sebastian Reticuli, sniping the targets!" The Gundam pilot loudly shouted. Cecil pulled on the trigger many times and fired at his two targets many particle beams that were tightly compressed at a high ratio to increase the power of the beam projectiles. A total of six particle beams were launched at the two mobile suit Flags aimed at their mid-regions with the intent of destroying them before they could retaliate against Celestial Being. Once the rifle had fired off its ammunition, Cecil let go of the targeting weapon and retained control of his Gundam. The green mobile suit was launched into the air above the forested land, revealing itself to its enemies.

Taken by surprise, the Cherudim's beam sniper attacks obliterated the flight capable machines in a instant, Mercilessly devouring their way through the armor of both unsuspecting Flags, the flaming wreckage of the former Flags descended into the urban landscape below, crashing into a low building.

Having seen the destruction of the Flag units, the trio of GN-Xs also took to the urban landscape below. The many buildings around them would probably obscure them from the Cherudim's sniper attacks, while the trio attempted to reduce the distance between them and the Gundam

"Wow. How do some of these pilots make it into the army." Watching the destruction of the two flag mobile suits, Cecil turned his attention to the small squadron of units emitting their red particles and coming towards him at high speeds. The Gundam had something that the mass production units did not, and that was its ability to see and destroy targets over large ranges. His teeth were slightly shown, while he smiled to himself and squinted his left eye to pair right into the scope of the machine. Zooming forward, looking at the first GN-XIII he saw and allowing the reticle to fall upon its target. "First one of those to go Haro, let's do it! And his hand readied himself on the trigger, waiting for the target to be considered locked on.

Moments when the screen began flashing and he realized that he had been ready, he pressed the the trigger three times in rapid succession. As the three particle projectiles left the barrel and traveled through the skies, illuminating them with a bright pink color. The beams themselves were targeting the chest armor of the GN-XIII. Cecil didn't stay too focus on that one for too long, as he moved on to the next one behind it. The trigger squeezed once to let a shot of energy attempt t tear the head of the mobile suit off while a second one was aimed towards the right arm to disable the suit.

Temporarily going on the defensive, the trio of GN-Xs had not expected the Cherudim to continue its distance precision attacks. Hastily bringing up their arm mounted defense rods, the GN defense rods were able to deflect away the Gundam's deadly shots. Having survived a bit longer, the trio decided to launch a counterattack of their own. From each hand held GN rifle, a burst of crimson particle shots were emitted from the muzzle of the weapon. Their target was the Celestial Being's Gundam's general torso region, as the GNXs were unable to accurately target the lean looking mobile unit.

With the sensors alarming Haro of the threat, the orange mechanism took control of the Gundam, increasing the amount of GN particles coming from the GN verniers mounted on the upper shoulders of Cherduim. It propelled itself upward, as the first wave of red particle beams hit the forest below and destroy sections of it. Cecil still focused his eye on the scope, attempting to see when he could target the GN-XIII and destroy them quickly. Yet Haro could only do so much as the second wave of beam projectiles hit the Gundam head on and caused rupture inside the cockpit.

I'll have to end this soon! He though as Haro began to stabilize the Gundam to allow Cecil to snipe. He aligned the reticle along with he first GN-XIII and eagerly squeezed the trigger in rapid succession. The particle projectiles left the barrel and all of them raced towards the chest armor of the red mobile suit. All the while Cecil had begun aiming again, firing one shot each at each of the arms, seeking to disable or cripple to mobile suit from continuing the fight. He tried to avoid unnecessary deaths if possible but he had no qualms about destroying them if it meant the battle ended sooner.

Although the rebel forces had managed to damage the Cherudim Gundam, the advanced technologies present in the Celestial Being Gundam merely reduced the beam attacks to the equivalent of a slight scratch. If the anti government forces thought they could drive off the Gundam with such an attack, they had clearly underestimated the mental resilience of the Gundam pilot. The Cherudim Gundam instead, responded with its usual precision based sniper attacks. Unfortunately for the Celetial Being unit, the rebel GN-XIII was able to defend itself, by virtue of its left arm mounted GN defense rod. However, it had not anticipated the Cherudim's successive attacks. The long firing beams of the GN sniper rifle II divested the mass production machine of its arms, resulting in the loss of its offensive combat ability. As skilled as the pilot was, he was unable to compensate for the sudden loss of its limbs, resulting in the uncontrolled crashing of the humanoid machine

Witnessing the sudden disablement of their lead element, each of the GN-Xs dived lower into the urban landscape, using the surrounding buildings and its occupants as a improvised shield, as if daring the Gundam to try to hit them, despite of that. Raising their own firearms, the two remaining GN-Xs brazenly fired their firearms at the Gundam, despite the risk of injuring innocent bystanders.
