Gundam Seed Unlimited - Storyline

The storyline depicts the chronicles in the era of this fictional Gundam roleplaying forum board, entailing past events such as battles, conflicts and great wars, as well as developments in technology since the dawn of this new year.

Forward

During the years of the early 21st century, new technology was developed by a group of young engineers, later to be known as the Group of Seven. This group elaborated on the technology and soon, NEXUS 1.0 made its debut. This new experimental craft was denoted as the Seed of Evolution and was employed to promote the growth and expansion of the human race over the course of five decades following its debut. A variation of this technology was developed further along the timeline and was labeled NEXUS 2.0 for it retained the standard function of its predecessor.

This technology demonstrated boundless possibilities. Space colonies became prominent at the Lagrange Point Five region in the galaxy and later, a Martian colony was established on the planet of Mars. This was a landmark in history and became a popular tourist attraction in later years. By 2142 AC, militaries employed the complete use of humanoid mechanisms denominated as mobile suits. Originally developed in the late 21st century, mobile suits were pushed to their full potential during the Aggressor Conflict era, a time period where similar humanoid machines attempted to invade planet Earth.

Since that griefstricken era of corrivalry between two opposing powers, the National Vanguard military had furthered its military prowess and its magnitude. NEXUS 3.0 was developed by enhancing its predecessor and new technological evolution flourished. With this newly developed craft, the European Union came into military power. This new congregation of companies concerned the National Vanguard and provoked them to incite a new time period of warfare and conflict. The conflict lasted for a duration of two long years and was quelled when a new paramilitary power came into existence.

Confrontation

Celestial Being became a popular concern when it made its debut. The private military group proposed to eradicate any group, company, or nation that showed the slightest support for warfare. This became a concern for the two existing military superpowers, the National Vanguard and European Union. Four mobile suits denoted as Gundams were sortied and became prominent figures in modern society, boasting incredible strength, durability, and a strange source of power that was incomprehensible to the science of its time. The Gundam mobile suits soon demonstrated unparalleled potency.

Six months beyond the debut of Celestial Being brought into existence another dangerous threat to the planet Earth. The debris belt became unstable and an anomaly discovered in its orbit caused a series of free floating debris to collapse onto the planet. The world militaries cooperated with Celestial Being in order to bring the danger to a cessation but all was not well. A new group was introduced and later discovered to be labeled the Balmarian Empire, the celestial body of the past era's Aggressors. Not long after their premiere, the National Vanguard and European Union collaborated in a jointed exercise against Celestial Being.

Although the jointed effort was a failure, the event was engraved in history and from that moment forward, the two separate entities continued to work with one another until Celestial Being was quieted. However, this was only one event of that time. During that period, the Balmarian Empire continued to wreck havoc amongst the people of Earth and space alike until at long last, the European Union had crumbled under its pressure. It was a nuisance that the Earth's militaries and Celestial Being cooperated in quieting, as well, leaving behind uncertain feelings toward Celestial Being by the many soldiers among the military.

However, in spite of Celestial Being's waning aid in, they inevitably became the antagonist. This eventually lead toward the downfall of the private military group and with it, the Balmarian Empire conflict was brought to a close during the great battle between the Empire and United Nations. During this fearsome conflict between the two sides, the Balmarian military unleashed a massive mechanical super weapon that demonstrated devastating strength by incinerating the surface of the planet Mars, effectively eradicating all life on one region of the colony. This would lead to the extinction of the Martian colony in the future.

Chime of a New Era

Four years into the future and mankind had already succeeded in the effort to reverse engineer technology recovered from the Balmarian Empire and the remains they had left behind during the conflict. This included the technology handed to the military by an unknown being, technology that shared many similar properties with the armaments thought to be used by Celestial Being's Gundams. A combination of these two technologies and the technology from present time lead toward the development of NEO 3.0, the futuristic design of NEXUS 3.0. Soon, this new technology became popular and fast-selling on the market, leaving NEXUS 3.0 out of date.

NEO was an abbreviation for NEXUS Extract Overdrive, the true potential of NEXUS technology. By the late 2150's, NEO 3.0 was used to intensify the intricate design of Central Nexus City, eventually bringing about a renewal of the North American continent and leading toward the development of the Central Nexus Continent. The progress made in technology was undeniable so that many countries accepted NEO 3.0 without question. This new hardware was used to repair and supply third-world countries with a means of technological influence. By the early 2160's, this technology was a noticeable asset in a majority of the countries across the globe.

But the planet was not the only asset developed. Four years from the conflict with Celestial Being, the two Earth militaries were dissolved and reunited as the Unified Earth Sphere Alliance, known in the present simply as the Earth Sphere. Between the time of the Balmarian conflict and the present, the new Earth military devoted its funding toward the development of new armaments. By the late 2150's, the new military standard was introduced. The GNX-609T GNXIII was put through mass production and supplied the Earth Sphere with a new and powerful mass production mobile suit that derived a number of its characteristics from the Gundams.

The new unified nation worked together in order to exercise a number of peacekeeping operations. The first and foremost concerned the distant Martian colony. During the calamitous battle between the Earth's military and the Balmarian Empire, a powerful super weapon was used to incinerate the surface of the distant planet, effectively eradicating all life on the planet Mars. Survivors were evacuated but few managed to withstand the might of the overall damage. With no hope remaining for the lifeless colony, the Martian planet was abandoned and to this day, the celestial body remains as a memorial to those that died in the war between the Earth and the Balmarian military.

Present Years

The current year is January, 2165 After Crisis, a new era to be marked in history. A series of technological developments have lead humanity down a path of continued evolution. The Central Nexus Continent, in its completed state, has opened its new Grand Central Highway, a continental means of connection between the many regions of North America and an intercontinental connection between the United Kingdom and Central Nexus Nation through the use of underwater magnetic railways established in the early 2160's. The revolutionary design reduces the people's dependency on travel by air, thus, reducing fuel costs and increasing the economy indefinitely.

However, the times of trouble have not been lost. The Unified Earth Sphere Alliance continues to uphold its peacekeeping acts by distributing military assets across the globe in attempts to quell the conflict but with each attempt, a new conflict arises. Terrorism and war have not been ended and the military now devotes its time and effort into bringing these criminal acts to a halt. However, has Celestial Being been quieted for certain? Across the globe, people speak of an unnatural force that brings about the end of this new found terrorism. The military does not claim responsibility for these actions but continue to look into them as a possible nuisance and continue to keep a watchful eye.

Rumours note that the terrorist acts may be connected with one another but only time will tell. Whether or not you work toward the development of technology and harmony or against it by acting as the antagonist, the nuisance that continues to plague our times with unwanted war and terrorism, act with conviction and time will tell whether or not you are suited to dwell in the dawn of this new era!
