”Assault craft are green for launch” Ensign Anders chimed in, Kade acknowledged that, before contemplating his options on how to manage this. ”Enemy Laurasia class has launched mobile suits. 5 Enact Space types on direct assault course.” Lieutenant Hamilton informed. The sudden occurrence gave Kade the information he needed. ”Order all mobile suits to disable the enemy space craft. Aeon will intercept the approaching vessel, now labeled as Target 9.” Kade stated.

”Commander Kleinman, prepare a burst, target all enemy mobile suits. Relay to our units, fire on my mark.” Kade turned to his helmsman, ”Lieutenant Marks, when firing begins, break off, bank 60 degrees” Kade watched the weapons fire across the ships mainscreen. Numerous projectiles had already hit the Aeon’s hull. The phase shift armor had rendered 98% of the fire ineffective. However some had managed to get through and damage control was already working on battle repairs.

When the vessel’s mobile suits moved or guided their combat out of most harm, Kade gave the order to fire. ”Kleinman, fire. All weapons fire for maximum effect.” the captain ordered, ”Reload missile tubes with cluster warheads.,” He ordered as the ships screens brightened with the weapons fire that suddenly poured out from its weapons systems. The auto light balance then dimmed things down, and the carnage began to be seen.

The sudden outburst of weapons fire from the Aeon provided the Aeon’s own mobile suit complement with adequate cover as well as proved to be a good distraction for the enemy units. ”Lieutenant Marks, flank speed, direct course to Laurasia” Kade stated, the CIC already targeted the enemy mobile suit formation as the Aeon broke off combat with the other formation of ships. Seconds later Kade was informed that the missiles were loaded.

Without warning, Lieutenant Marks banked the Aeon, evading two beams from the Laurasia class vessel. ”Return fire.” Kade ordered, ”Fire missiles, target enemy mobile suit formation” The Aeon’s own beams caused the Laruasia to break off its approach, while the missiles scattered the formation, likely damaging a couple of their suits. Kade then gave orders to the Aeon’s mobile suits, presently led by Duo. They were to wrap up their present battle and proceed to meet the damaged formation that was presently approaching the Aeon.
