As he finished his sandwiches, Kazuki stretches his body. On hearing the conference coming up, Kazuki could only sit blankly. "It's for the higher-ups....not for me..". Just as he was gonna go away, he turned back on the sound from one of his superiors. Hearing that he should attend the conference too, Kazuki curiously nodded. "Hmm...why me?". Kazuki didnt knew why he was suppose to attend the meeting. Maybe people think he can be trusted.
Getting up from the chair, he then walks with the crowd towards the conference room. With superiors beside him, Kazuki could only feel....a little edgy. Walking with one of the most senior officers after a first battle, this is truly pressuring for him. If people saw him like this, they would get the impression that Kazuki is some kind of "golden boy" of the ship. Either way, he cleared his throat and continued walking. He's going to prove that he got this from his performance in the next battle.
Finally arriving, Kazuki could only be a little surprised as he saw a room that may only fit the most famous celebrities there. After all, even though he may be raised in a high-class family, his family wanted to live a simple life, hence the "normal" social status. Promptly, he took a seat. Once touching he recognized something. "These cushions are filled up with the best kinds of feathers there is....possibly not poultry feathers..". After traveling the world for tournaments, he is familiar with some cultures.
With this too, he observed the conference room yet again. He then got a little curious after seeing his captain, with his assistant the second time. "Hmm....I just noticed now...Why do my feelings say that they are lovers? They dont look like it...". Kazuki just noticed this feeling some time ago. Although, he can't make a conclusion about that one, but it is possible. He then remembers how in school, he had no interest for love. Well....at that time it was fine with him, but now? Maybe Kazuki needs a girlfriend.
Finally, he stood up hearing the video up-link going online. He doesn't want to disappoint his superiors for this. Kazuki then stood still, and then concentrated on the message that is going to be given. Maybe it can be useful for him in the future. He listened towards the video, listening to the general. He didnt really found anything useful though, nor anything involving him. But, the thing is, there will be another battle like this one, and he's going to participate in it....

The captain, led the group upwards through the ship’s interior and upwards to the bridge level where the briefing room was located. There was no doubt that the bridge had already connected the ship with AEF command, or was in the process of getting that set up while the group entered the lift. They quickly emerged at the bridge level, where Kade directed them through the then open doors to the briefing room. After the last person entered Kade hit the close button and the multiple “flaps” that were the door rotated shut.
Kade sat down, Rina to his right, the screen at the front of the briefing room presently showed “confirming connection”. He looked over the room, as it always was, in good condition, with one exception now, instead of free-floating they were safely able to sit down, walk, in approximately 88% earth’s normal gravity, though slightly lighter, there wasn’t much difference than that of being on earth. He noted about the properties of the table when Lincoln looked like he was taking extra care with the table.
Lincoln had just finished eating his meal when the screen blinked, the image of the General, a face he had only seen a couple times, however had received many messages from. However he intently listened to what their commander had to say, which was quite a lot. However their commander’s time was short, whatever info he could get to them right now was good enough. Anything they had to send to the commander could easily be done through messages.
Listening to his words, Kade was glad to hear what was going to happen or rather what had already happened with the “traitors” or as the general nicely put it, “former” licensed individuals. Kade quickly processed the information, as is, to speed things up, there was a bit of deviation to be done. The screen blinked after the general disconnected, there was probably more for him to do on the other end due to the recent developments.
By the time the short video conference had ended, Kade already a mental list of what needed to be done, he would, as usual, ensure that all went as close to clockwork as possible, and that the work was deviated equally to the commanding staff. Standing up, Kade decided to work right down his list, there was much to be done. He also had to see to it that the tech crew at had the Arche Gundam combat ready, or at least in a good enough condition to be transported back to earth.

Upon hearing his reassignment to the South American continent, Lincoln was not exactly surprised by the location. There was no major UESA base facility in South America, plus, given the geography of the location, meant that the UESA faced much difficulty in safeguarding the region. Taking all the facts into consideration, the general's assumption about potential terrorist activities in the region made sense. Yggdrasil Swanhild would definitely exploit this noticeable weakspot in the Alliance network. After what happened in space, it was logical to assume that they would think of other methods to undermine confidence in the Alliance.
As far as he knew, the Aeon was still a good distance away from port. Which meant he still had some time to plan his travel arrangements from the Lunar base to the South America Alliance outpost. Since General Redfield mentioned speed was of the utmost importance, Lincoln figured a high speed shuttle would easily ferry him and his unit to a point in earth orbit, where he would drop down via orbital drop pod. With the correct trajectory plotted, his descent would be swift and precise. If his calculations were correct, his arrival would be most unexpected at the outpost.
There was one other thing to consider also....his Arche was still under upgrading works. Until the upgrading was completed, there was no way he could go into combat against Yggdrasil Swanhild, without his Gundam. According to Q, he had estimated that the upgrade would be completed before the Aeon reached the Lunar base. The Extended himself was still in the dark regarding the exact nature of the upgrade on the Arche. Personally, Lincoln wondered if he was getting any additional GN weaponry, particularly the GN Fang remote weapons.
It would be nice, Lincoln thought, if he could match his Arche's remote weaponry count to that of the blue Yggdrasil Swanhild unit. Then he wouldn't have to worry about being overwhelmed by those accursed remote swords. The Alliance pilot was sure that if he were to encounter the blue Yggdrasil Swanhild machine again, he might not make it out alive, even with the Alliance manufactured Gundam. Lincoln was hoping that whatever upgrade was being installed, it would be enough to deal with that azure machine. For it would be foolish to rely on Celestial Being to continually pull his chestnuts out of the fire.
Getting up, Lincoln made his excuses to Kade and his XO, before leaving the meeting room. Lincoln figured that he should at the very least, return down to the hangar, just to see what was going on. If he could see what was going on, then he could have a inkling of what to expect. But strangely enough, he felt a sudden weariness coming over him the moment he stepped over the threshold. Redirecting his feet back to his own quarters. Lincoln, still fully clothed, shuffled over to the secured piece of furniture, before falling into its soft comfy surface.

When he left the conference room, Kade was beginning to have an urge to return to the battlefield, to be a reckless pilot once more, to be fighting with the maneuverability and agility instead of the bulky vessel he was presently commanding. Yet that was only a thought, he was fine with where he was presently and what he was in charge of. Instead of heading back into his quarters, after seeing both pilots leave the bridge level, Kade entered the bridge.
The vessel was moving rapidly towards Stellar Night City, not exceptionally fast due to the damage, but quickly enough that they would arrive in one to two hours. At present the main bridge was dark, each station was lit by its display and a set of LEDs on the actual desk and by one or two behind it. Kade sat down in his chair and proceeded to “oversee” and manage the bridge, even if it did command itself most of the time.
More often, while Kade watched the bridge and the sensors, he used it as time to think, or simply let his mind wander. Since things mostly ran themselves, plus he’d notice if something came up, he once more did just that, letting his thoughts wander in every direction, plucking the closest thought that piqued his interest and flying with that. Right now, he was not going to debate that their situation had grown much worse, especially for the UESA in general.
A loss of so many AEF members, not killed in action, but as traitors, with their knowledge of how the AEF worked internally and the previous access to the databases. Damage to the Aeon on this level and the need for an extended duration repair, things simply loved to keep piling up didn’t they? Perhaps it would be best if he took a bit of time off, let himself relax in and have some time away from the constant threats that space had.
IF there was such a chance Kade would take it, for now he would have to be happy with what little he had, such as sitting on the bridge and thinking like this. Which likely was what he would be doing had he been at home, with the exception that he would be out in the backyard, perhaps with a book and a glass water or something, hearing the ocean as the waves pounded against the shores. Kade yawned… Sleep would wait until the ship was safely at dock.
Yet. There was so much still left to do.

Sitting on his seat, Kazuki could only stare towards the two superiors that brought him here. Truly, they both are at loss over the defection of UESA members. What's worse of that fact, the traitors were pilots with great skill. It is true to the fact that low rank soldiers tend to not defect due to their own lack of power to do so. Kazuki could only think at this point....will at one point he defect? If so, it would be for a very good reason, not simply because he hates the world.
The other thing that lingers in his mind is that....will he actually be able to not be just a mere faceless peon in this war? That seems unlikely...he already survived the first encounter with these so-called Innovators and the defectors. If so, he could be the one who would tell the tale of the brave men who fought for the sake of freedom and sovereignty against a powerful opponent.
He is then snapped out of his mind when one of his superiors left the room. Not having any more purpose to be there, he stood up and gave his good-bye to the captain. "I appreciate you inviting me here. I promise that I wont tell this secret to a soul..." Finally, he left the conference room, carefully not to slam the door by accident. If he slammed the door, it would give the impression of an impolite man.
Finally out, he could see Stellar Night City from the windows. Truly, he needs to get some rest especially after that conflict. With that, he walked towards his cabin room. After setting the alarm clock, he laid on the bed and then start to reminisce about the events that had happened today. A lot of questions still indeed remain in his head about today's event.
"Who are those Innovators? They don't seem to be normal humans... Why would those people betray the UESA? For what reason do these people fight?". Finally he got bored of thinking of these questions and then closed his eyes. It's truly been a long day...a day that almost cost him his life. He better be more careful next time. There may be no next time for his life if he screws up again.
