Upon hearing your words, your Poison-type Pokemon woke up. The Tangela was just about to slam it down with another one of it's vines, but Spiteful quickly sprayed another barrage of poisonous needles before it could be hit, thus fainting the Grass-type. [6 EXP rewarded]

"Nice."

Zandus, for six bits, gave a smirk and a compliment. That was a pretty obscure reference. Anywho, Spiteful assumed position upon Zandus' left arm again, and on they marched toward Silverport.

"Well guys, hows the journey been so far?"

Taking a page out of Pokemon Yellows book, Zandus thought hed check up on his party. See how well they liked him, were getting along, etc.

Your Squirtle, being bold in nature, pounded it's stubby arms on it's chest and grinned; it seemed to be itching to battle.

Spiteful, on the other hand, gave a little hiss and rested it's head upon your shoulder. It seemed to be trusting of you, and satisfied with the last battle it had.

Horus, the wise Natu, remained both still, and silent.

"Seems as if all is in order."

Each Pokemon was playing their part very orderly; nothing was out of place, no one was acting weird. It made their trainer feel somewhat accomplished that things seemed to have fallen into place all along with his companions, and their role in this journey.

Zandus particularly took notice in Horus at this moment, as he started walking along the Route. Such a young, somewhat low-level Pokemon possessed such a mature, supernatural-esque presence he could feel. He could tell something special was about this little guy.

But anyway, the fact of the matter was that they were on the road again, headed westbound.

It appeared as though your wishes for a nice, calm journey were coming true. You found yourself making great, undisturbed progress. Further down the route, you see a Horsea playing near the beach in the ocean.

Zandus approached the tide, noticing the Horsea happily carrying on with its own business.

"Squirtle, go make a friend."

The command was to go have fun. No Tackle hard, no dodge to the right. Just go try and make a buddy. Zandus stood back and watched as Squirtle dove into the water and began to swim out to the Horsea, Horus shook some of the rainwater off himself, and Spiteful seemed to be...asleep.

This rain was notably enjoyable to the trainer in question. The gloominess it provided was to Zandus like a coyote to a bright, prominent moon. The cooling embrace of the falling moisture brought comfort as well; everything seemed to be as peaceful as a spring morning, even though it was rainy and not so bright out. Maybe the sun would peek through soon, maybe itd evolve into a storm, who knew?

The rain continued it's steady pace as Squirtle and his new aquatic friend played in the ocean. It appears as though Water-types befriend one another very quickly, as these two Pokemon seemed to have no problems with each other.

Zandus marveled at the sight of Squirtle making a friend so quickly and easily. It gave him hope for this place, and a little bit of faith in himself. It sure wasnt that easy anywhere else hes been to acquaint someone with fun. But this new land was definitely different. Other than the talking fighting monsters everywhere.

Zandus donned his headphones and selected "Electric Red" by Meshuggah to be played, as Squirtle got his social butterfly on, Horus gazed over the sea, and Spiteful slept.

About a third of the way through the song, Zandus told Squirtle to come with as he continued walking toward Silverport. Squirtle waved his farewell to the friendly Horsea, and gave a wink as to signify that theyd be back. So on they went. Oooonn the road agaaaain.

You could see Silver Port City through the morning mist... It was very close.
