Thats right, Zandus thought. Of course he has nice hair, what did she take him for, not hip?

Anyway, he found the long and lonesome road between Vigoton and Silverport, and began backtracking in his journey. Itd been a while since hed traveled with a Pokemon, and lately hed been thinking on and off about the vision(s) his Natu can trigger, and curiosity lingered and made him wonder if he could make that work.

Horus was sent out, taking the usual perch upon a shoulder before jumping down to a foream that was situated for that purpose in front of Zandus. He made eye contact, and he cleared his head. Maybe something would happen. Maybe not.

As your Natu stared into your eyes, you feel at... peace. A calming sensation flooded your body, even after your recent loss against the first Gym Leader...

... but this peace was soon disturbed, as a Sentret accidentally bumped into your feet, breaking you away from your meditation.

That was pretty sweet.

"Ohp, excuse me, dude."

Zandus politely pardoned himself from being in the Sentrets way, and continued walking. Horus took a perch back on the right shoulder.

The Sentret gave you a worried glance, but soon, it smiled, as you let it go freely.

As you continue your trek down the path, you notice something shuffling in the bushes off to your right...

"You know what? Im feeling a group sensation."

Speaking to the rest of his Pokemon, they were all let free to walk with him and Horus. Squirtle stretched his legs and began to walk alongside Zandus, while Spiteful slithered up and coiled around a left bicep, with his head situated upon Zandus' shoulder. Squirtle and Spiteful seemed to like the rain, yet Horus didnt show much expression.

Spitefuls attention was drawn to a rustling bush some steps ahead, which triggered cautiousness and a slight slowing of Zandus' walk. Hopefully whatever it was wouldnt attack; it was quite nifty to walk by a wild animal without it attack or be startled.

As you continued to ignore the rustling the nearby bushes, the movement seems to be following you as you continue to walk... in fact, out of the corner of your eye, you see what appears to be a... red shoe?

Zandus turned toward it, and everyone but Horus was excited for action, although no one would attack unless it was kosher with their trainer, even as itching as Spiteful is for a battle all the time.

You could see the feet shuffle around worriedly, as if it had been seen. Then, as a result of it's panicked running, it fell from the bushes into plain sight.

It was a Tangela.

Upon noticing the lack of hostility, the party rested easy.

"Hey there, bud."

Zandus tried to be peaceful with it, and continued walking, although in full attention of a response or a sudden lash out to attack. But he preferred a straightforward trip with as much peace as he could let slide.

Unlike the Sentret, this Tangela didn't seem to happy about being ignored. It ran after you, trying to whip it's vines at your feet.

"Thats reason enough for me."

Zandus pointed his arm, and Spiteful uncoiled and dove toward the Tangela with a Poison Sting.

Spiteful's Poison Sting viscously struck the Tangela, dealing super effective damage. The Tangela in turn shook rapidly, sending off Sleep Powder to cover it's foe. The powder was effective, as Spiteful fell asleep.

Before Spiteful fell asleep, his gears were turning and next was to come another Poison Sting. But, he kind of fell asleep. Zandus wasnt interfering; he liked Spitefuls show of independence, and it was especially accepting of that because of his loyalty nonetheless. He didnt really need a trainer, hed be just fine without; that snake had a keen sense of perception and strategy for not being told what to do. It was perfect.

"Come on, dude, get up."

Zandus tried to subtly awaken the Ekans, hoping for a quick victory over their wild attacker.

The Tangela hopped back and forth a bit, as if it were trying to taunt you. After it finished it's strange little dance, it then wrapped it's vines around the sleeping Spiteful, and squeezed.

"Come on, Spiteful."

Even though Spiteful had quite a bit of health to spare, the quicker the better for this battle. Zandus just wanted to get to Silverport. Besides, another Poison Sting and itd be in the bag. Victory was tantalizing, yet very obtainable.. It all revolved around the unconsciousness of an Ekans.
