Stella found the route to be quite ... messy. It had apparently rained recently and most of the ground was soft and muddy. Stella, though not usually one to care about appearances, wished that she had thought to bring along galoshes, just to keep the mud off of her legs--it was beginning to itch, but she didn't want to get her hands dirty. She at least hoped that she would find some interesting Pokemon on this route before she arrived in Silver Port. Stella had read that this route was filled with Pokemon wonderful for beginning trainers.

You saw a Bidoof happily rolling around in the mud.

Stella ignored the Bidoof and continued along, trying her best to not sink into the mud, which was surprisingly deep.

As you passed by the Bidoof, it saw you and ran after you, wanting to battle in the mud. It ran in front of you.

"You really want to battle don't you?" Stella said to the Bidoof. "Might as well then, I suppose." As Stella sunk further into the mud, she took out Selene's PokeBall. "Go! Selene! Use Confusion!"

The confusion hit the ground, splashing up mud all around the Bidoof. It's eyes sparkled at the... muddy... beauty. It was hit, but then it attacked with a Tackle. It lept up at and collided with Selena. And it thouroghly enjoid the fall downwards with a nice soft landing in mud. Selena 94% Bidoof 34%

"One more Confusion should do the trick, Selene." Stella began fumbling in her bag for a Pokeball. She didn't actually plan on using the Bidoof in battling, but hey, it was cute. She might be able to trade it with an uninformed trainer for something better.

Bidoof launched itself in a last, glorious flights. It crashed into Lunatone, dealing more damage, and of course got the pleasure of the mud slinging that ensued. The thouroghly muddy pokemon prepared to dogde the retalitory confusion, but to no avail. Bidoof fainted. 2 Exp to Lunatone. Selena 89% Bidoof 0%

"Good job, Selene." Stella tossed a PokeBall at the fainted Bidoof.

Stella gingerly picked up the PokeBall, wiping off the mud before placing it into her bag, along with Selene's PokeBall, whom she had recently recalled. Stella continued on through the muddy route, looking rather amusing as she hopped through the mud, to avoid sinking as much as possible

It got drier as you went. In fact, it was actually quite sunny, but still a little muddy. Just enough to be soggy, but no longer sloshy.
Though, in the distance in front of you, you could make out some dark clouds...

"Oh, Arceus. Is it going to rain?" Stella asked herself worriedly. Though the ground seemed to be getting more and more stable and dry as she went along, if it began to rain, it would, well, rain on her parade. Thankfully, her mother had had the sense to make Stella pack an umbrella. Stella pulled out the umbrella and kept it in her hand as she walked along, unopened. She continued to walk along the path.

You saw a school boy looking irritated and walking at a brisk pace towards New Leaf Town.

"Can't I just find a Shinx or something before I have to battle this trainer?" Stella said to no one in particular, though it appeared she was speaking to the sun, as her head was tilted slightly up. However, she said this quite loudly and the boy might have heard her, she soon realized.
