Title: On the Road to Silver Port City
Description: [Route 300]
Ink - October 24, 2010 01:26 AM (GMT)
Stella found the route to be quite ... messy. It had apparently rained recently and most of the ground was soft and muddy. Stella, though not usually one to care about appearances, wished that she had thought to bring along galoshes, just to keep the mud off of her legs--it was beginning to itch, but she didn't want to get her hands dirty. She at least hoped that she would find some interesting Pokemon on this route before she arrived in Silver Port. Stella had read that this route was filled with Pokemon wonderful for beginning trainers.
Helios - October 24, 2010 01:46 AM (GMT)
You saw a Bidoof happily rolling around in the mud.
Ink - October 24, 2010 01:47 AM (GMT)
Stella ignored the Bidoof and continued along, trying her best to not sink into the mud, which was surprisingly deep.
Helios - October 24, 2010 02:04 AM (GMT)
As you passed by the Bidoof, it saw you and ran after you, wanting to battle in the mud. It ran in front of you.
Ink - October 24, 2010 02:05 AM (GMT)
"You really want to battle don't you?" Stella said to the Bidoof. "Might as well then, I suppose." As Stella sunk further into the mud, she took out Selene's PokeBall. "Go! Selene! Use Confusion!"
Helios - October 24, 2010 02:11 AM (GMT)
The confusion hit the ground, splashing up mud all around the Bidoof. It's eyes sparkled at the... muddy... beauty. It was hit, but then it attacked with a Tackle. It lept up at and collided with Selena. And it thouroghly enjoid the fall downwards with a nice soft landing in mud.
Ink - October 24, 2010 02:14 AM (GMT)
"One more Confusion should do the trick, Selene." Stella began fumbling in her bag for a Pokeball. She didn't actually plan on using the Bidoof in battling, but hey, it was cute. She might be able to trade it with an uninformed trainer for something better.
Helios - October 24, 2010 02:19 AM (GMT)
Bidoof launched itself in a last, glorious flights. It crashed into Lunatone, dealing more damage, and of course got the pleasure of the mud slinging that ensued.
The thouroghly muddy pokemon prepared to dogde the retalitory confusion, but to no avail.
Bidoof fainted. 2 Exp to Lunatone.
Ink - October 24, 2010 02:20 AM (GMT)
"Good job, Selene." Stella tossed a PokeBall at the fainted Bidoof.
Helios - October 25, 2010 02:25 AM (GMT)
Bidoof was pulled into the pokeball in a burst of red light.
The pokeball moved left to right:
Ink - October 25, 2010 02:29 AM (GMT)
Stella gingerly picked up the PokeBall, wiping off the mud before placing it into her bag, along with Selene's PokeBall, whom she had recently recalled. Stella continued on through the muddy route, looking rather amusing as she hopped through the mud, to avoid sinking as much as possible
Helios - October 25, 2010 02:39 AM (GMT)
It got drier as you went. In fact, it was actually quite sunny, but still a little muddy. Just enough to be soggy, but no longer sloshy.
Though, in the distance in front of you, you could make out some dark clouds...
Ink - October 25, 2010 02:43 AM (GMT)
"Oh, Arceus. Is it going to rain?" Stella asked herself worriedly. Though the ground seemed to be getting more and more stable and dry as she went along, if it began to rain, it would, well, rain on her parade. Thankfully, her mother had had the sense to make Stella pack an umbrella. Stella pulled out the umbrella and kept it in her hand as she walked along, unopened. She continued to walk along the path.
Helios - October 25, 2010 03:04 AM (GMT)
You saw a school boy looking irritated and walking at a brisk pace towards New Leaf Town.
Ink - October 25, 2010 09:37 PM (GMT)
"Can't I just find a Shinx or something before I have to battle this trainer?" Stella said to no one in particular, though it appeared she was speaking to the sun, as her head was tilted slightly up. However, she said this quite loudly and the boy might have heard her, she soon realized.
Helios - October 26, 2010 02:58 AM (GMT)
"Don't bother. Some arrogant guy just kicked my butt, so I'm all out." he said, mopeing.
OOC: Also, I forgot to tell you, but for your battle with bidoof you also got 2 exp for Selena.
Ink - October 26, 2010 11:18 PM (GMT)
ooc/ Awesome. Selene, by the way. And I'm going to go ahead and assume said arrogant guy was Emory.
Stella debated whether or not to respond to the boy. She decided not to respond, but by the time she decided, the boy had already disappeared. Stella continued on, in search of more Pokemon.
Helios - October 27, 2010 01:45 AM (GMT)
You saw a Kricketot come running out of the forest. It looked paniked.
Ink - October 27, 2010 01:56 AM (GMT)
ooc/ HURRAH FOR CONTINUITY
The Kricketot caught Stella's attention. "Go, Selene, and use Tackle on that Kricketot!" She hoped that Stella's weakness to bug-types wouldn't put her at a large disadvantage, though she doubted it would. She was just worried about the Bide that Kricketot was bound to have. If she didn't take it out soon, Selene would be badly hurt.
Helios - October 27, 2010 02:01 AM (GMT)
Due to a lucky trip, Kricketot fell down and faceplanted just as Selene zoomed above it, missing. However, Kricketot soon got up to its feet and continued its panicked run.
During this time a Nidoran :Male: lept out of the bushes and looked around. Spotting Kricketot, it chased after it, ignoring you and Selene compleatly. Kricketot's fortunate trip had allowed the Nidoran to catch up.
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 27, 2010 03:15 AM (GMT)
Sciron suddenly came bursting out of the shrubbery. Upon surveying the scene, he issued a quick command at the nidoran, "FeauxFeaux, use peck FOR TEH SUPER EFFECTIVE WIN!"
Ink - October 27, 2010 10:17 PM (GMT)
The odd scene unfolded before Stella--a bearded man holding a walking stick commanding a Nidoran named... Foofoo? Stella was frozen in place, due to a mix of shock and curiosity.
"Um. Foofoo?" Stella asked confusedly, though she was more talking to herself than anyone in particular
Helios - October 28, 2010 03:49 AM (GMT)
Kricketot cowered in fear at this new developement. As Nidoran raced forward, it seemed inevitable that Kricketot would take great damage.
But just in the nick of time, a flash of blue leaped from the forest. Landing in front of Feaux, this new creature succesfully shielded the terrified Kricketot.
It was a Shinx, thus the peck was not very effective.
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 28, 2010 04:05 AM (GMT)
Sciron looked on with pleasure at this new development. "Yes, an electric type! This will be a perfect addition to my team! Acutus, use Take Down on that shinx!". Acutus, who had been following behind Sciron the entire time, hastened to do as he was bid. "FeauxFeaux, continue to peck that Kricketot!" he then continued in a whisper, "But if he tries to run, don't chase him. This shinx is more important,"
"Oh, by the way, um... whatever your name is, i don't believe we've met. I'm Sciron, traveling philosopher and pokemon trainer. And that nidoran is called F-e-a-u-x-F-e-a-u-x, he's french." Sciron held out his hand to the girl who was standing around looking confused.
Ink - October 28, 2010 09:35 PM (GMT)
Stella hesitantly shook the odd man's hand.
"Um. Okay. Whatever you say," Stella told the man. "But, if you don't mind, I'd like that Shinx. Or that Kricketot. Anyways you only get one."
Helios - October 29, 2010 04:44 AM (GMT)
Acutus, in a very noble manner, seemed to indicate that Stella should send a pokemon to participate in the battle, rather than itself. As a result, it did not attack this turn.
The equally noble Shinx was prepared to fight, but Kricketot tapped it on its shoulder. It seemed to say something along the lines of "Let me fight. I promise you I will be redeemed!" Shinx nodded and watched carefully as Kricketot squared off against Nidoran.
Kricketot began with a growl attack to weaken FeauxFeaux. This attack hit first, and then the pecking began.
100% (Atk -1)
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 30, 2010 03:36 AM (GMT)
"Well, i was only going to use the Kricketot for experience anyways, but if you really want the Shinx i suppose you can have it," Sciron told Ink. "Well, Acutus, if you're not going to fight, i suppose you should get out of the way," he said, returning Acutus to his pokeball. "Nidoran, use peck!"
Ink - October 30, 2010 01:31 PM (GMT)
"Lunatone, use Confusion on the Shinx!" she commanded.
Helios - October 30, 2010 04:12 PM (GMT)
Shinx attacked this new target with a Tackle, but it was a very determined tacklee.
Lunatone responded with a weak Psychic blast. This did solid damage.
Meanwhile, Kricketot began to use Bide, storing up energy as it was hit with another peck.
100% (Atk -1)
89% - 12% = 77%
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 30, 2010 09:50 PM (GMT)
"FeauxFeaux, just two more pecks should have him. Hopefully he won't releases his bide before then," Sciron encouragingly said to his Nidoran.
Ink - October 30, 2010 09:56 PM (GMT)
"Try a Tackle attack, Selene!" Stella said, trying to see which attack would do more damage. "And try to dodge any attacks it throws at you!" she added.
Helios - October 30, 2010 11:08 PM (GMT)
The tackle attack hit first, and Shinx was hit mildly hard once more. Shinx again attacked with a Tackle, trusting in Kricketot to finish off Nidoran :Male:
Kricketot continued to store energy, and another Peck was added.
100% (Atk -1)
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 30, 2010 11:11 PM (GMT)
"Okay, Stella, that kricketot is about to go off with a mega-bide, and it's faster than me. Can you hit it for me?" "FeauxFeaux, peck Shinx!"
Ink - October 30, 2010 11:22 PM (GMT)
"Sure. Selene, now use Tackle on the Kricketot!" she told the Lunatone, switching the target.
Helios - October 30, 2010 11:27 PM (GMT)
Unfortunatly, Bide was a move that was bound to strike first. At just the right moment, Kricketot BURST with energy, knocking out the Nidoran that had so angered Kricketot.
Kricketot was immensly happy. It had fainted a pokemon. Shinx purred proudly. But then, Lunatone's tackle attack hit, finishing off the Kricketot. 1 exp to each trainer.
Shinx now attacked the only target it had.
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 30, 2010 11:29 PM (GMT)
"I'm sorry, FeauxFeaux, i couldn't faint it quick enough," Sciron said dejectedly, withdrawing him back with a flash of green light. "Go, Acutus! Finish what FeauxFeaux started! Use take down on the shinx!"
Ink - October 30, 2010 11:37 PM (GMT)
"I'll take the Kricketot, I suppose, then," Stella said. "And you can have the Shinx." Though Stella had wanted the Shinx, it was hard to refuse a sad man with a beard holding a stick. Stella tossed a PokeBall at the fainted Kricketot.
Helios - October 30, 2010 11:50 PM (GMT)
And now the Shinx was fainted from the oncoming Take Down attack. Acutus was only nicked slightly by the recoil damage, but it was starting to wear on it.
2 exp to both trainers. Selene gets 2, Acutus gets 1, Feaux gets 1.
30% - 5% = 25%
The pokeball went after Kricketot and teleported it into its inside.
The Caturtle of Ai Khanum - October 30, 2010 11:54 PM (GMT)
"Thank you, Stella. You are a very kind girl," Sciron said gratefully as he threw a pokeball at the shinx. "Here, maybe to compensate you I could give you my Wormlion? I feel kind of bad taking a pokemon from a little girl."
Ink - October 31, 2010 12:07 AM (GMT)
"Oh, no, it's fine, really," Stella told Sciron. "But thank you for the offer." In total honesty, Stella didn't really want anything named Wormlion. Stella put Ludwig's PokeBall back into her back and returned to Selene to its PokeBall, also putting it away.
