Title: The Quest for a Deranged Fighting Bug Man.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 05:40 PM (GMT)
Sakura exhaled deeply as she exited Vigoton Town, a grin crossing her face as she gulped down a canister of Imakuni's tea. Fresh gusts of wind twirled around her and the soft chirp of pokemon resounded around her. Boy was she happy to be traveling again.

Kiyza - October 2, 2010 05:42 PM (GMT)
A tiny Combee buzzed around Sakura's head, landing in her hair. However, the bug had sticky hunny attached to it and they got stuck together.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 09:45 PM (GMT)
"GARGARGAR NOO D:<" was essentially the reaction Sakura exhibited towards the cute yellow bug that had stuck itself in her hair. With a sigh, she released Yuuri. "Yuuri, Ember. And place it well, I like my hair."

Helios - October 2, 2010 10:26 PM (GMT)
The firey fox looked at you and snickered with a "vul-vulpix" It then gave a light ember attack to the Combee, which proceeded to jerk away from you, resulting in mild pain but did not pull out any hair.

Combee, angry, attacked with a gust attack.

"Its out of my hair now Yuuri, but it's kinda cute..." Sakura blushed, "Mmkay, yuuri, give it a light ember. It didn't meeeeeean to get stuck... I don't think..."

The Combee attacked with another Gust, still quite mad at you.

"Good job Yuuri!" with an exact replica of ">:D' splayed on her face, Sakura unearthed a pokeball from her bag and hurled it full throttle at the gorgeous female.... honeycomb?

Green with Ever - October 2, 2010 10:40 PM (GMT)
The Pokeball opened and sucked up the Combee.

It giggle once..... twice..... and then sprang back open. Combee responded with another Gust.

"YOU SHALL BE CAUGHT MS. HONEYCOMB." With the might of a million flying Buses, Sakura hurled the pokeball at the combee's head for great Bustice.

Green with Ever - October 2, 2010 10:50 PM (GMT)
The Pokeball, somehow not shattering on Impact, opened and consumed the Combee once more.

Sakura rejoiced at the thought of a new pokemon, then continued on her way.

Helios - October 2, 2010 11:11 PM (GMT)
You saw a boy dressed in kacky style pants and an explorer shirt. He had a straw hat... and most importantly, an impressive looking butterfly net.

He was rumaging around just off the path, in the forest.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 11:13 PM (GMT)
Ohohohoho, my keen video game tempered instincts tell me this man is a bug hunter. Sakura thought to herself, opting to follow the boy stealthily rather than confront him head-on, in hopes that he and his bugtastic prowess would lead her to the elusive Heracross she'd been searching for.

Helios - October 2, 2010 11:19 PM (GMT)
He suddenly stopped, listening, then ran off deep into the forest.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 11:23 PM (GMT)
"Go Manpuku!" Use Odor Sleuth to help me follow that small child!

Helios - October 2, 2010 11:27 PM (GMT)
Muchlax was much more preoccupied with the berries in the tree the bug catcher had been looking at.

But you could still see the boy in the distant trees.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 11:31 PM (GMT)
"BAAAAH MANPUKUUU" With a sigh, Sakura grabbed a massive handful of berries and hurled it at the bug boy. "Now, Munchy, I KNOW YOU LOVE FOOD, so get me there as fast as you can."

God I hope this works.

Kiyza - October 2, 2010 11:40 PM (GMT)
The little Munchlax happily accepted the berries dashed off into a nearby bush. Crawling in there would be rather uncomfortable, but possible nonetheless.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 11:43 PM (GMT)
Sakura followed Munchy into the bushes in hopes of catching the Bug Hunter.

Helios - October 2, 2010 11:55 PM (GMT)
As you walk into the bush, your cloths get caught by brambles. Nothing significantly difficult to get out of, but you will need to wiggle around some and it was a delay.

TwistedSpaceman - October 2, 2010 11:57 PM (GMT)
Sakura wriggled through the intense bramble, attempting to reach Bug Catcher McGee.

Kiyza - October 3, 2010 12:02 AM (GMT)
"Gotcha!" you heard a voice cry. A bug net slammed down on your head. "I've never seen a bug Pokemon this big before!" It was none other than bug catcher McGee, mistaking you for a gigantic insect.

TwistedSpaceman - October 3, 2010 12:06 AM (GMT)
In a flash of what could either be called genius or insanity, Sakura played along, making bug like chirps and flailing about in the net.

Helios - October 3, 2010 04:12 AM (GMT)
The boy got really excited as the apparently huge bug made buglike noises. He pulled on the net, causing what must be a huge bug to fall into the clearing.

When he saw it was a person... he was mad.

"HEEEY! Why'd you pretend to be a bug! I thought I had a big critter, and it was just a prank!" he shouted irrately. "That's it, I'm gonna battle you! Go, Weedle!"

A :Weedle: popped out of its pokeball in a burst of red.

TwistedSpaceman - October 3, 2010 04:15 AM (GMT)
"A battle, huh? Then go, SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIO! Use water gun."

Helios - October 4, 2010 02:17 AM (GMT)
"String shot on the nasty imposter!" the boy shouted out.

Shio shot out a burst of water, damaging the Weedle. However, Weedle survived well enough to shoot out a string shot, tangling Shio slightly.

"Poison sting it!" the boy called out.

Weedle launched a Poison sting faster than Shio could deal with the sticky string.

Weedle indeed launched a barb of poison at its foe... however....

Shio survived the hit and retaliated with a final water gun.

"Bide!" the bug boy shouted out.

Shortly, the little cricket began to focus. But, that is all it did.

Until it got hit by a water gun. Then it started grimicing, storing energy. Soon, it had recovered its disposition.

Helios - October 6, 2010 01:56 AM (GMT)
Shio, confident, yet a little hasty to stop its foe began to sing...

but in its haste, the Kricketot was not effected by the rushed, ineffective song. But Kricketot did start chirping in tune with the song.

Thus, Kricketot did not store any further energy, due to a lack of continual focus and no attacks hitting it.

But the old energy remained...

Helios - October 6, 2010 02:25 AM (GMT)
(Bide, interestingly enough is a priority move)

"Now! Suprise him and release your energy!"

Like a young grasshopper, Kricketot moves swiftly and powerfully. In a reddish flash, Kricketot paid Shio in double for the earlier water gun.

This ended up being quite enouh to knock out Shio.

"Phew, that was close" the bug catcher muttered to himself. "You impersonater!" he shouted at you. "You deserved that!"

TwistedSpaceman - October 6, 2010 02:34 AM (GMT)
"Go, Rai! THUNDERSHOCK FTW!"

Helios - October 6, 2010 02:39 AM (GMT)
"It's so silly it when people say internet acronyms out loud." the boy said, snickering at you shouting out the letters f, t, and w. "Show him who's boss with a bide!"

Kricketot again began storing energy. As the electric attacked coarsed through its body, the Pokemon desperatly hoped that it could survive the next attack.

"Kricketot! Keep up the good work!" the boy said pleasantly.

This time, Pichu used a charm attack. If Kricketot had had an attack to use, it certainly would have softened the blow in the face of such a cute pokemon.

But Kricketot had no control over how much power was stored and released. So, the boy was somewhat relieved as the attack equated to a waste of a turn. And Kricketot was still in the battle.
