Hey all my brother has an 04 Dodge Ram with a Hemi. He does a little offroading now & then in it. Last weekend he had went, but noticed a weird sound in his exhaust. When he got back home me and him looked at it & sure enough there was a little punture in the pipe right before the muffler. He guesses & the only thing that makes since is a rock or something on the trail hit it. My question is does it hurt anything? Will an exhaust shop fix it? Will they have to replace the whole piece? Because it's on the like cat-back I guess. What should he do? Thanks in advance.

You probally want to take it to an exhaust shop. I don't know if it could really hurt anything except for power, but I'm not for sure. I remeber my friend puntured his exhaust like a year ago, a muffler shop fixed hi. I'm not for sure what they did thoug.

Yeah I would get it fixed. You can lose power from it & it's annoying sounding. The exhaust shop would probally just cut out that piece of pipe & then replace it. I think it would be like $25-$50, depending on whether they feel like ripping you or not. Sometimes mechanics shops, muffler shops, & body shops can be rediculous onprices for minor things. Or it could be time for a whole new after-market CatBack?
