I just got me a 2005 GT Mustang a few weeks ago. I want to do some mods to it. Unfortunately I'm new to the whole performance thing & don't really know where to start. I'd love to get something like a supercharger, turbo, or nitrous on it, but I don't have the money right now. I've got less than a grand to spend on it right now. Does anyone have any ideas on this? I don't know how much performance I could really add with just 1 grand. Thanks in advance for the help.

Actually $1000 could get you a better eprforming & sounding Mustang pretty easily. Main things I would suggest to you to start out with would be: an air intake, a cat-back exhaust, & a programmer. The rpogrammer I'd suggest is a SuperChips part # 1755. This is a simple install, in fact not even really an install. Your diagnostic's port is underneath your dsash. All what you have to do is plug it in to there & answer some yes no type questions. It's simple & installs in a matter of minutes. After your finished you unplug & keep in your house or whever. Then exhaust, for your car I'd go with a FlowMaster Cat-Back part#17410. These are really simple to install on later Mustangs. These are way shorter than standard cat-backs. No welding or cutting is needed. These can be installed in 1-2 hours. An air intake, I'd go with an AEM part#21-8112D. It looks awesome & is avaliable in either a polished or silver finish. It also contains a "dryflow" filter which requires no oilling when washing, since the filter is reusable. With these 3 things your off to a really nice start. Your car will look, sound, & of course performa better. If you want the pricing just say & I'll get it for you. It'll be under 1 grand.

Yeah that FlowMaster kit is nice. Dustin just hooked one of my friends up with a kit. It sounds really good & muscular. He said it wasn't a tough install neither. I like how everything is painted black. That way it won't rust like aluminized exhaust & you don't have to pay a ton for stainless.
