Carly: Oh, we have a big convention scheduled for late October. Anything I should know about?

Marty: Not so far. Prep has gone smoothly. No unusual requests.

Carly: Great. I love my staff. You guys make my job easy. Wait a minute. I spoke too soon.

Marty: What's the matter?

Carly: Who okayed the convention guests having the top floors?

Marty: Mr. Jacks.

Carly: That's a terrible idea. We can't give them the best view at group rate. We need to put them on floors four through six.

Jax: Hold off on that, Marty.

Carly: Why?

Jax: Because you and I need to discuss it first, that's why.

Marty: Let me know what you decide.

Carly: Why are you so agitated?

Jax: Because you pulled the same trick earlier today on an equally small matter. You can't just go around undoing every decision I make.

Carly: And you can't expect me to stop having an opinion just because I'm not going to be Mrs. Jacks anymore.

Spinelli: Hold still, please.

Jason: For what?

Spinelli: This will only take a second.

Jason: What -- what are you doing?

Spinelli: The tailor needs Stone Cold's measurements for the tuxedo he'll be wearing to Mr. Sir's nuptials.

Jason: You don't have to worry. I'm not going.

Olivia: This better be good, Vito. I'm on my lunch hour. But being the good sister that I am, my brother calls, says the magic word "emergency," here I am. So are you going to talk, or are you going to make me guess? I said I got stuff to do.

Vito: Really? Does that stuff have anything to do with Sonny Corinthos?

Kate: Aw, your concept for the shoot sounds fabulous, Helmut. I'm so grateful you could take time out of your busy schedule. There's no one I would rather take my portrait. Are you kidding? I'm honored. Okay. I'll see you soon. Well.

Sonny: Hi.

Kate: Hello.

Sonny: Groom-to-be ready to report for wedding duty, as promised. Just point me in the right direction, and I'll do whatever you want me to do.

Kate: Oh, really? Whatever?

Sonny: Well --

Kate: Hmm, okay. Well, first you can start by telling me the truth about why you so mysteriously disappeared last night. I suggest you tell me the truth. Otherwise, there won't be a wedding.

[Footsteps approaching]

Maxie: I got to your room just in time. I saw this guy in the hallway; he was staring at the wall, waving his arms around. When I tried to walk by him, he yelled at me. He made me inch my way along the opposite wall and kept going on and on about how people are always walking all over his tarp.

Lulu: Melvin. He paints imaginary murals. He says it makes sense of inner chaos.

Maxie: Oh, well, patients like that must make you feel normal. I brought you a goodie bag.

Lulu: Thank you.

Maxie: Some magazines and some trashy novels. I read this one. I dog-eared some pages for you. A breakdown from Crimson so you'll be up to speed when you come back. And hold on to your bed -- I brought you a new dress from Federicoís line. I know you don't like fashion, so I got it in my size. I figured you can just hang it to remind you of the exciting world that's waiting to welcome you back. Don't you think I'll look insane in this? Freudian slip, sorry. Lulu, come on, you have company. What's wrong with you? I thought you'd be in a good mood today. You do know Johnny was acquitted, right?

Lulu: Yes, it's the best news ever.

Maxie: Then what's with the face?

Lulu: I'm just having trouble adjusting here. It turns out I'm crazier than I thought.

Jason: What -- stop!

Spinelli: I'm just trying to avoid a catastrophe. The fashionista will be apoplectic if Stone Cold shows up leather-clad to her nuptials because he didn't order the appropriate attire in a timely fashion. Huh, fashion, you know, just a --

Jason: Did you hear what I said to you?

Spinelli: I believe Stone Cold indicated he wouldn't be attending.

Jason: Wow, so you can hear me, which means you're choosing to ignore me. Bad habit. Break it.

Spinelli: I must have inadvertently picked that up from Maximista who regularly ignores the Jackal's sage advice and does exactly as she pleases. It is a rather effective method of getting one's way. In this case, her way.

Jason: Of course, Maxie. I should have guessed. How is she involved?

Spinelli: Well, she's charged the Jackal with the task of getting you to attend the wedding, and I do not wish to fail her.

Jason: And I do not wish to punch you. Find another way to impress your girlfriend. I'm going to work.

Spinelli: Girlfriend.

Sonny: I guess that's the look.

Kate: What look?

Sonny: That got you where you're at today, that gives Giselle nightmares at night.

Kate: Is it working?

Sonny: Um, no, because I think it's cute, sexy.

Kate: Yeah, see, now you're deflecting.

Sonny: No, I'm calling your bluff, because, you know, I know that whether I tell you where I was last night or not, I bet you wouldn't call off the wedding.

Kate: Oh, you think I wouldn't?

Sonny: No, because it's not nice and you know it would devastate me to not be your husband. You are just trying to control me because all your minions got everything covered.

Kate: So now you're calling me a control freak?

Sonny: Uh, takes one to know one.

Kate: Oh, really? Wow. Well, this just gets better and better, doesn't it? Okay, Mr. Smug, it is not about control. It is about caution. You run off with some mysterious errand, and then you come back in all charming with the dimples, trying to dazzle and distract me. All signs point to you being up to no good.

Sonny: It's very good.

Kate: Well, why don't you let me be the judge?

Sonny: Because then it wouldn't be a surprise.

Kate: What kind of surprise?

Sonny: The kind you can't know until it's time. But I will say this -- it is going to be worth the wait.

Olivia: It's not irritating enough you're checking up on me, now you feel entitled to interrogate me, too?

Vito: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Who's checking up? I'm at the coffee shop minding my own business. Who knuckleheads me? Paulie Rinaldi. Says, guess who's back in town? I say, who? He says, Sonny Corinthos. Tells me he was talking to Sonny Corinthos right here at Frankieís bar where I happen to know my sister went last night. Doesn't take a brain surgeon, Olivia.

Olivia: Yeah, lucky for you. So Sonny and I raised a couple last night, so what?

Vito: So how did this miraculous reunion come about?

Olivia: Gloria Cerullo.

Vito: Gloria Cerullo? Bossy grandma Gloria Cerullo?

Olivia: What do you think, I'm lying? Why would I lie?

Vito: Oh, maybe because you have something to hide?

Olivia: Oh, please, Vito. Don't be such a big brother. Mrs. Cerullo called me. She said Sonny talked to her, said he needed to arrange a meeting, what should she tell him? I said, what the hell, why not?

Vito: I'll tell you why the hell not. Because that goomba was trouble when you dated him back in high school and even worse trouble now. Do I got to remind you that Sonny Corinthos is a flippin' mobster?

Olivia: A flippin' retired mobster who happens to be marrying our cousin Connie. That's why Sonny came. He wanted to invite me to the wedding.

Carly: I understand that you're not inclined to believe anything I have to say, but I am not trying to provoke you or get your attention. I'm just doing what I always have done; I'm looking out for the hotel.

Jax: Okay, well, I'm not going to argue with you because it's counter-productive, so just put the conventioneers wherever you want. That's not why I tracked you down.

Carly: Okay.

Jax: We have to discuss the divorce proceedings. Come on, Carly, it's not like it's a surprise or anything.

Carly: No, I, uh -- it's just really hard hearing you say that, "divorce proceedings."

Jax: Yeah.

Carly: Why -- why do we have to rush into court so quickly?

Jax: Well, what's the point in waiting?

Carly: No point, I guess.

Jax: I want this to be as painless as possible for both of us.

Carly: That would be a nice trick if you could pull that off.

Jax: I don't want some, you know, shark representing me, so I want somebody who I know and trust.

Carly: Please, do not tell me you're going to ask Alexis.

Jax: No, I want Alexis to represent me. Unless, of course, you object. And maybe even if you do.

Carly: Really? Well, I do object, Jax. I object to the whole damn thing.

Maxie: Obviously, you're depressed. It's no wonder. This room is hideous. I mean, look at this furniture. It's horrible. In the real world, no sane person would live like this.

Lulu: I get what you're trying to do.

Maxie: Okay.

Lulu: You think if you babble long enough, what I just said will become unsaid and then we can pretend that I'm not losing my mind. I get it, it's embarrassing.

Maxie: Why don't you tell me why you would think such a thing?

Lulu: Maxie, I don't know if I would trust you with something so personal.

Maxie: I'm going to try really hard not to be offended by that. Look, Lulu, I know this is awkward, okay? Our relationship used to be simple -- pure, instinctive hate. But things have changed and we had to learn to depend on each other.

Lulu: More like I had to learn to depend on you.

Maxie: I think it went both ways. I thought after everything that happened with Logan, we would be in a different place where we could talk about things -- important things, real things. But if that's just me projecting, we can stop.

Lulu: No, no, no, it's not. I just -- I have to take a minute for that to sink in. Okay, so when I first got here, I was so flipped out about seeing Logan, choking on guilt, I was cut off from Johnny and my brothers and you and Kate, everything that was familiar and safe, so I would go and talk to my mom. Even though she's catatonic, it still helps for me to say things out loud to organize my thoughts. So, um, one day, I was there and I was crying, my head in her lap, and I felt the softest touch. And she said that everything is going to be okay. And I looked up and she was there, lucid. She was awake. She was saying everything that I needed to hear to get through Johnny's trial.

Maxie: So far, I mean, I don't see the bad thing. So -- so your mom's awake? That's great, Lulu. Unless she had another relapse.

Lulu: It turns out that she was never awake. I made the whole thing up in my head. Apparently, I have been delusional for weeks. I guess seeing Logan was a warm-up for the main event.

Maxie: I have no idea why I just did that. I'm sorry.

Lulu: No, that's okay. No harm done.

Maxie: I'm really sorry, Lulu. I just -- I didn't realize the hell you've been going through. But at least you know now, right? And you can get help.

Lulu: You sound exactly like Nikolas, putting a positive spin on everything.

Maxie: No, I'm just trying to be realistic. As I see it, you've got two choices. You can give up and stay locked in here with people who get upset over murals that don't even exist, or you can take the help and get out of here and enjoy what life is really all about. I mean, God, Lulu, think about everything you are missing. You have Johnny, this great guy who loves you, one of the most fantastic jobs on the face of the planet, and the opportunity to irritate me on a daily basis. I don't see what could be more of an incentive than that. So it's settled. You'll just concentrate on getting better and get out of here and come back to work. So I should go, because the doctor said that I shouldn't stay too long. I don't want him to kick me out. But, you know, if you need anything, just give me a call on my cell phone.

Lulu: Maxie?

Maxie: Hmm?

Lulu: For somebody that I can't stand on a regular basis, you turned out to be a pretty good friend.

Maxie: I know. It's weird, right?

Olivia: Hit me. I'm going to need to be fortified for this one.

Vito: Okay, stop stalling. Please, tell me you turned Sonny down.

Olivia: You wouldn't be here if you thought I had.

Vito: Damn it! Why do you put yourself through all this?

Olivia: Why would I give up a chance to go to a big, splashy, high-society wedding, starring none other than our cousin Connie?

Vito: You want a list? Sonny Corinthos is dangerous to your body, on account of he's had a career in crime since before he dropped out of high school. And to your heart, since he's already broken it once.

Olivia: Vito, please. He barely even scratched the surface. Sonny was hot. We hung out for a while and then we didnít. He was one of a very long string of guys that I went through in those days. It was high school, okay? It was ancient history.

Vito: Me thinks she doth shoot her mouth off too much.

Olivia: Oh, screw you.

Vito: Huh, Sonny ought to worry about that.

Olivia: Not any more. Not even really that much back then. Sonny was always after Connie. And now by some bizarre twist of fate, he's marrying her. He's marrying Kate Howard, but that's another discussion, so -- Sonny invited me to the wedding as a surprise present for Connie, okay? That's all he's about. It's Connie, okay? So I said yes.

Vito: Because you two are such great friends. Did you happen to mention the last time you got into a fight when Connie came back? How you called your friend a phony and basically ran her out of Bensonhurst?

Olivia: No, no, Vito. That is not fair. Connie walked away because she wanted to because that's what that girl does. She spent half her life not looking back, so don't even try to put that on me.

Vito: You know what? I got a kitchen to install. [Speaks Italian] Please, Sis, for once, think first.

Kate: Is it musical? Did you get John Mayer to sing at our wedding?

Sonny: Who?

[Kate sighs]

Kate: Okay, um, is it something to wear?

Sonny: Uh --

Kate: Oh, I know what it is. It's for our honeymoon.

Sonny: Ah -- we -- I'm not saying.

Kate: Oh, Sonny.

Sonny: Yes?

Kate: A little hint? Just a hint?

Sonny: No, no, not even. Is this hot? Sit -- just sit down for one second. Here's the thing, okay?

Kate: Okay.

Sonny: Look at me. I don't want you to worry. I don't want you to anticipate disaster. I'm a legitimate coffee importer. All our secrets are out.

Kate: Oh, um, well, in the interest of full disclosure, you should know I went to see Carly yesterday.

Sonny: You don't have to account for your time. You can do whatever you want.

Kate: Thank you. I appreciate that.

Sonny: You're welcome.

Kate: I just thought you should hear it from me, I told her in no uncertain terms that she should stay away from you.

Carly: I'm sorry. I'm sorry for snapping at you. I have no right. My head knows that our marriage is over, but my -- the rest of me is having a hard time catching up.

Jax: I can relate to that.

Carly: I'm going to be honest with you. Alexis and I have a lot of bad road behind us. I realize that's not your experience with her. I respect that. It will be very hard for me to have her rip me apart or take a stand against me.

Jax: Okay, fair enough. I'll find someone else to represent me.

Carly: Thank you.

Jax: You know, this divorce isn't easy for me either. The last thing I want is for you to feel like you're being punished for what you did.

Carly: Did I blink my eyes? How did we end up here?

Jax: I think you know the answer to that.

Carly: Yeah, I do. I do. The end of our marriage is -- well, I made it inevitable, so you have every right to get through it the best way you can. So forget what I said. If you want Alexis to represent you, then that's the way it should be. And your attorney is here, so I better go find one of my own.

Alexis: Well, hi. You wanted to see me?

Jax: Yeah. I'm not sure why anymore.

Alexis: Okay, since you scheduled this appointment through my office and not through me directly, I'm assuming you want Alexis the lawyer and not Alexis the friend.

Jax: Well, can't I have both?

Alexis: You can have whatever you want. So how can both of me help you?

Jax: Well, Carly and I are moving forward with the divorce proceedings and I want you to represent me.

Alexis: Okay. I mean, you're my best friend, whatever you need.

Jax: Mm, I feel a "but" coming.

Alexis: Ah, it's just a little red flag. Carly and I loathe each other, so I don't want my involvement to make anything worse for you.

Jax: That would only happen if you insisted on saying, "I told you so."

Alexis: I take no pleasure in being right -- about this. Honestly, if anyone deserves forever love, it's you. And for what it's worth, I believe that Carly does love you in her way.

Jax: Yeah, that's what makes it so damn hard.

Johnny: Hey.

Carly: Hey.

Johnny: You got a minute?

Carly: Uh, yeah. Congratulations on the acquittal.

Johnny: Yeah, thanks. It was a nice surprise.

Carly: I'll bet.

Johnny: Have you, uh -- I was wondering if you've been to Shadybrook lately?

Carly: I'm going to see Lulu tomorrow. Why?

Johnny: Lulu's doctors don't think it's a very good idea for us to see each other right now. And Lulu knows about this, but, I don't know, she's just very fragile right now and I don't want her to think I'm abandoning her.

Carly: I'll make sure she doesnít.

Johnny: Thanks. Hey, while I'm on a roll, do you think you could get back to me after you see Lulu? Tell me what you think?

Carly: I can do that.

Scott: You two over here gloating? You think you got away with murder, but you didnít. Just because you're not in shackles, doesn't mean you're not going to pay.

Carly: You better be careful. You're threatening an innocent man in front of a witness.

Scott: My son is dead. He is rotting in the ground, and he did it. Now let me assure both of you, one day your father is going to know what it's like to feel the same pain and the same emptiness that I do.

Kate: Are you mad?

Sonny: After everything Carly's done, I mean, why shouldn't you stick up for yourself? But I just want you to understand Carly's not a threat to you.

Kate: I know that.

Sonny: Okay.

Kate: It would just make perfect Carly sense for her to try to sabotage the wedding in some way, either out of her need to hold on to her claim, or more likely, out of her pathological need for revenge.

Sonny: It doesn't matter what Carly wants or why. She has to have my participation to get it, and that's not happening. It took a lot to get you to trust me again. I'm not going to trash that for Carly or for anybody else. You're going to be my wife to be. You better get used to it.

Kate: I think I can manage that.

[Doorbell rings]

Sonny: Just ignore it. Ignore it, please.

[Doorbell rings]

Kate: Oh. Oh, no. Oh, no. Sonny, you have to go. I just remembered you have to get out of here.

Sonny: What do you --

Kate: Here, you have to put this on.

Anthony: I'm giving you a head's up. Prepare for big changes from top to bottom. Because I'm not happy with the sloppy way this organization's been run since I've been distracted by -- I'll call you back. Did you sneak past the guards, or do I need to call for body bags?

Jason: You've got a shipment in the harbor on a freighter out of the Grand Keys. And from what I hear, it's supposed to dock at Pier 24. That's a violation of our truce, so move it or I'm going to blow it up.

[Anthony chuckles]

Anthony: You tempt me, Mr. Morgan. How I would love to eat that loss. It would finally give me a valid reason to retaliate, and we'd be off to the races. I'd get to sink my teeth into a good old-fashioned, go-to-the-mattress war. Take you to school on how we did it back in the day. Put some fire on that ice that runs through your veins. You'd be put to the test. Your measure as a boss taken. And we'd see who'd be the last man standing. But therein lies the rub. I can't stand. So because I'm just a pathetic shell of my former self, rolling around in a wheelchair, you'll get what you want. The status quo stands. None of my shipments touch Pier 24, including this one.

Jason: Good.

Ric: Somewhere between cocktail hour and the end of the day, I expect to be briefed on all the Zacchara holdings in this organization.

Trevor: Expect it? Forget about it. Even if we weren't about to unload an important shipment within the hour, I don't have the time or the inclination to take you by your hand and walk you through the company business.

Anthony: There is no shipment.

Trevor: What?

Anthony: I'm canceling it. I'm sending this ship back to the Grand Keys.

Trevor: Now, why would you do that? Do you know how much money we're going to lose?

Anthony: You mean, you know how much money I'm going to lose. You should never have approved that shipment in the first place, Trevor. Why didn't you just send out engraved invitations? You might as well have, the way you sat that cargo smack in the middle of the harbor aimed at a pier that you knew was off limits. You made it easy for Morgan to find and threaten it, and that's a rookie mistake, Trevor. Which tells me that you're either not paying attention, or you're really off your game. And either way, I can't have that! Effective tomorrow, you are in charge of imports.

Ric: Thank you, Anthony. You won't be disappointed.

Trevor: The hell he wonít. First off, those are my piers. And you just made a big mistake, which you ought to rethink. Putting that kind of trust in my son Richie, it's just going to come around and bite you in your ass.

Anthony: Richie is the reason that Johnny is free. I already trust him. In my office, 8:00 A.M.

Ric: I'll take care of it.

Trevor: Tony, wait.

Anthony: I'm in no mood for your whining, Trevor.

Trevor: I never whine. This is a fact. Johnny might be out of prison and free, but he is still vulnerable to Lulu Spencer. And so as long as Richie is your newly anointed, you best get him to find a way to keep Lulu and Johnny separate forever.

Anthony: Ric's got enough on his plate. You could use a win, Trevor. Work on it. Split up Johnny and Lulu in some lasting way, and I might let you back in the fold.

Jax: Should be pretty straightforward. Carly and I didn't share a lot of community property, so --

Alexis: Okay, well, that will save you a lot of trouble. That's good thinking. I mean, in retrospect. All right, here is what I am going to suggest, all right? I think that you should offer her a lump sum in lieu of future claims.

Jax: Well, I'll offer, but I doubt she'll accept.

Alexis: You're a big goofball, you know that? After all the ways that she manipulates you, and you still think the best of her.

Jax: Yeah, well, I'm not so good because a better person might not be sitting here with you right now. He'd be at home sticking it out with his wife like he vowed to do.

Maxie: I finally tracked you down.

Carly: Why did you need to?

Maxie: Well, I'm following up on RSVPs for Kate's wedding, and, tsk, tsk, you haven't sent yours in yet.

Carly: I'd rather stick cocktail forks in my eyes than watch Sonny marry Kate. There wasn't a box to check for that option.

Maxie: Look, I know we're not friends, but we know a lot of the same people, and quite frankly, have a similar track record. So as one bad girl to the other, you need to be at that wedding.

Kate: So, um, I would like the service to be eloquent, yet simple.

Reverend: Mm-hmm.

Kate: Oh -- oh, my goodness. Look who just dropped by. Oh, I forgot. You were planning to make me lunch. Reverend, this is my extremely thoughtful fiancťe, Sonny Corinthos. Sonny, this is Reverend Norris.

Rev. Norris: Pleasure. Glad you're here, Mr. Corinthos. I was hoping to speak to both of you.

Sonny: You can just call me Sonny. That'd be good, yeah.

Kate: Okay, so we'll sit.

Rev. Norris: I'd like to review a few things. Now, my forms indicate that this is your first marriage, Kate?

Kate: Yes, that's correct.

Rev. Norris: And, Sonny, your third.

Sonny: Sixth. Depends how you look at it.

Rev. Norris: Six?

Sonny: Well, my first wife died, and then my second I married four times.

Rev. Norris: Were those Episcopal ceremonies?

Sonny: No, Catholic. Rev. Norris: Were any of those four marriages annulled?

Sonny: No, but we are divorced.

Kate: Wait, wait. You know what this means? In the eyes of the Catholic Church, you're still married to Carly.

Carly: Why would I want to watch Sonny marry a woman I hate?

Maxie: To show that you're the bigger woman, that you can wish Sonny well despite everything that has gone on between the two of you. I mean, Carly, you need to walk into that church with your head held high, totally designer-ed out, looking better than the bride. Make people wonder what sort of drugs Sonny and Jax were on to ever let your utter fabulousness go.

Carly: It would be worth it just to see the look on Kate's face.

Maxie: She would die. Kate knows that if you woke up one morning and all bets were off, you'd take Sonny back and she'd be toast.

Carly: Okay, you're going way past "bad girl" empathy. You're either completely disloyal to Kate, or you have some kind of agenda.

Maxie: I know Kate, okay? I mean, I owe her, like, my life. She gave me the best job in the entire world. She opens those doors for me every single day, but she can kind of be a bitch sometimes. I mean, have you seen how she goes off on Spinelli? And do I ever say anything? No -- in my own time. I just -- I call it like I see it.

Carly: Yes, you do.

Maxie: But back to the wedding. You're going to need an escort, right?

Kate: Reverend, how can Sonny and I say our vows before God if God still considers him married to Carly?

Sonny: With all due respect, God's not going to be paying attention to us. I mean, look -- and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm just saying on that particular happy day, God's going to be paying attention to something wrong in the world.

Kate: No, Sonny.

Sonny: No?

Kate: This is wrong.

Sonny: This is --

Kate: What, call me quirky. I'd like to be your only wife. It's just another sign.

Sonny: Stop now with the signs.

Kate: Reverend, does this disqualify us?

Rev. Norris: Not at all. While Episcopal doctrine honors Catholic marriages, it also honors how state law defines divorce. You're perfectly free to marry in our church as long as Sonny is indeed divorced from his previous wife.

Sonny: Oh, absolutely. She's married some other guy.

Rev. Norris: Then there's no problem unless the bride has misgivings.

Kate: No, I have no misgivings. And I'm sorry for taking us off course. So Sonny and I would like to have a traditional ceremony. We'd like to say the traditional vows from the common book of prayers. Except there'll just be -- there will be one exception. I will not say the word "obey."

Lulu: Lucky just left. I walked him out. I won't lie, it hurt watching him drive away knowing I wouldn't be leaving myself. It scares me to think how crazy I am. Knowing that you only existed in my head all that time. But I'm not sorry. I needed you. I could have never gotten over Logan and my guilt without you. To think when I actually confessed, nobody even believed me. I could have stood on the rooftop and yelled that I killed Logan Hayes and still I wouldn't have gone to prison. I think about all the stuff that Johnny and I did to prevent that. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter, because Loganís gone and I still have Johnny, and Johnny and I still have a second chance.

Lulu: I love you, Mom. I know that you love me, and that's why I choose to believe that part of you -- maybe it was your spirit -- was really with me. You saved me. So I'm going to make you a promise. This -- this silent life in this chair is not going to be my fate. I'm going to let the doctors help me. And when they say it is okay, I'm going to go to Johnny and I'm going to love him with everything I am. And I'm going to go back to "Crimson" and reclaim my lowly position in the fashion world. I'm going to live my life and claim everything that you've ever wanted for me. Maybe that will even the score.

[Lulu sighs]

Lulu: I love you, Mom.

Jason: All right, what's the big emergency?

Carly: I didn't say there was an emergency. I said this was important.

Jason: Okay, I'm listening.

Carly: I want you to escort me to Sonny and Kate's wedding.

Jason: I'm not going. You shouldn't either.

Carly: I can't stay away.

Jason: What -- what good is going to come of you crashing Sonny's wedding?

Carly: I wouldn't be crashing the wedding. I'm an invited guest. The good is, it will make me feel great and Kate will be miserable.

Jason: Okay.

Carly: Best of both worlds.

Jason: Do -- do you remember promising me not to make any waves?

Carly: I'm not going to make waves. I'm not going to stand up and object or anything.

Jason: Well, I wouldn't put it past you.

Carly: Ye of little faith.

Jason: Do you really think you can sit there calm and quiet while Sonny marries somebody else?

Carly: I don't know. Maybe not. In fact, now that I think about it, it's entirely possible that I could stand up and do something unplanned -- make that probably. So, you know, it could help me a lot if you were there.

Jason: Okay, so here -- here comes the blackmail.

Carly: No. It's a best friend asking her best friend for some help and support. I would really like it if you could be there with me.

Jason: I'll let you know.

Maxie: Hey, have I had a day. I went to go visit Lulu at Shadybrook.

Spinelli: How is the original blonde one?

Maxie: Well, if she takes my advice, she should be fine. Although, anything would be an improvement. So then I went to the Metro Court to track down Carly. Are you ready? Not only did I convince Carly to come to Sonny and Kate's wedding, but I talked her into bringing Jason. So not only will Sonny feel supported, but he won't go over the deep end, which should increase the chances that "Crimson" will survive and that will help my glowing fashion career.

Spinelli: The Jackal is awed by your persuasive power and your remarkable, though convoluted, chain of reasoning, but I -- I detect a flaw in your logic.

Maxie: Are you kidding?

Spinelli: Well, the Valkyrie is not known for her subdued personality or self-control. In fact, at times it's even impossible for Stone Cold to contain her.

Maxie: So you think Carly will slow boil until she erupts and ruins the wedding?

Spinelli: I think there's a better chance than not.

Maxie: But that would be a disaster.

Spinelli: My point exactly.

Maxie: Okay -- okay, well, it's too late to stop the train, so I should just cover my tracks. Was that a pun?

Spinelli: Good job.

[Maxie and Spinelli laugh]

Maxie: It doesn't matter. Kate can't know that I have anything to do with Carly coming to her wedding.

Vito: So what happened to your busy day?

Olivia: I closed the counter early. Here, you look thirsty.

Vito: You want something.

Olivia: I need a ride to the airport tomorrow.

Vito: Call a cab.

Olivia: A cab costs money.

Vito: Catch a bus.

Olivia: Bus takes too long. Come on, Vito. How many times I schlepped you to hell and back? Don't bust my chops here.

Vito: I'm trying to look out for you. Going to Sonny Corinthos' wedding is a bad idea.

Olivia: Why don't you think of it as a nice gesture to your cousin Connie?

Vito: Connie might as well not even be there. This is about unfinished business with Sonny. Olivia, I'm your brother. I was there. I remember you bawling your eyes out every night after Sonny dumped you for Connie, and now you're going to watch the two of them get married? It's a recipe for disaster.

Olivia: Okay, well, the flight leaves at 10:00. Pick me up at 8:30.

[Vito groans]

Olivia: Thanks.

Sonny: Hey, you worried?

Kate: No.

Sonny: Come on, be honest.

Kate: All right. Um, it freaks me out a little, you know? Once upon a time, it was my dream to get married in a catholic church, but we're barred. It's like we're excommunicated.

Sonny: Come on, you don't have to take it like that.

Kate: What?

Sonny: Well, I'm just saying --

Kate: It's just one more thing to add to my pile, one more bad omen like blood on the wedding dress.

Sonny: My surprise will ward off all stupid curses. My surprise is the good omen that ends all bad omens. My surprise is so fantastic, that anything that's happened or will happen, will not spoil our beautiful day. Now, get over here and stop obsessing, okay?

Kate: Okay.
