Carly: Wow, do I smell bacon? Mercedes, you're getting it -- what's all this?
Morgan: We made breakfast. It's a surprise.
Jax: Mm-hmm. And by the look on your mom's face, it certainly worked.
Carly: Certainly did.
Jax: Yep. We got all your favorites here. We got pancakes, bacon --
Carly: Ice cream? You guys made ice cream for me, too?
Jax: Mm-hmm. He made it.
Carly: Wow, you're talented. Get up here and give me a hug.
Jax: Mm, so good.
Carly: Thank you. Wow, so, um, are you just here for breakfast, or are you home for good?
Anthony: Look at that. Did I make a handsome kid or what? You look great. What's more important, you look as innocent as a newborn babe.
Johnny: Where's Claudia?
Anthony: Who cares?
Johnny: I need to see her.
Anthony: In case you haven't noticed, John, your life is hanging in the balance here. The last thing you need is to be distracted by your sister.
Laura: Oh, wow, you look wonderful.
Lulu: Yeah. I haven't felt this good in I don't know how long.
Laura: Good night's sleep?
Lulu: Yeah, not one nightmare since Logan’s death.
Lulu: And I owe it all to you. I love you so much.
Laura: I love you.
Jason: How you feeling?
Spinelli: I feel surprisingly well. And you?
Jason: I'm not the one recovering from a hit-and-run.
Spinelli: Still, Stone Cold looks fatigued. I hope it was just merely a sleepless night and that you weren't engaging in nihilistic or self-destructive activities.
Elizabeth: Hello? How's everyone's favorite patient today?
Spinelli: Surprisingly chipper this morning, thank you.
Elizabeth: Looks like your temperature's gone down.
Spinelli: Excellent. If the Jackal may be so bold, he can't help but notice a little tension in the air and it -- well, I can't help but wonder, did you receive a call or other communication from the maternal one last night?
Jax: So what's on Morgan’s schedule today?
Mercedes: Um, school clothes and supplies.
Carly: Oh, you get to go shopping. You're so lucky.
Mercedes: Ready, champ?
Morgan: Ready. Will you be here when I get home?
Jax: Well, I'm not sure. Um, if I'm not here, it's because I'm working late. Otherwise, I'll be here to tuck you in and read you a story.
Carly: Bye, sweetie.
Jax: Have a good day.
Jax: See you.
Carly: Did you mean that?
Jax: I think so.
Carly: You wouldn't be getting Morgan’s hopes high just to turn around and disappoint him, I mean, are you coming home?
Jax: Seems rather pointless to keep a hotel room when you come to visit me every night anyway. I love you. I want our marriage to work.
Carly: It will. I promise you it will.
Spinelli: Um, the Jackal fears he may have said something untoward that's causing fair Elizabeth inner turmoil?
Elizabeth: You know what, Spinelli? You should channel all that energy you're wasting on me into your own recovery.
Spinelli: My abject apologies. It seems that in order to improve the situation, I have had the opposite effect.
Jason: You -- you have an amazing imagination, okay? I admire that. Sometimes I even think what it would be like, but it takes you to crazy places. This ridiculous idea that I'm in some kind of relationship with Sasha -- I am not. And to tell Elizabeth I am, no matter how well-intentioned, you put her in a position to be hurt by me over something that's not even happening, okay? I need -- I need to know that you understand right now, Spinelli.
Maxie: Oh, good, you're both here. I have been subpoenaed to testify at Johnny Zacchara's trial, which means unless one of you can get me out of it, I'm going to spend the next best years of my life wearing some ugly orange jumpsuit. And I'll tell you both I'd rather be shot dead where I stand.
Nadine: Last night?
Nadine: Best night ever.
Leyla: Ah-ha. Nikolas Cassadine?
Nadine: So, you know, he invited me out to Wyndemere?
Nadine: Yeah, my expectations were so low, I didn't even bother getting dressed up. Imagine my surprise when I show up to a totally romantic dinner for two. I'm talking candles, fine china, whole nine yards. Butler -- seriously -- butler.
Leyla: Sounds wonderful.
Nadine: No, that doesn't even begin to describe it. I mean, there was dancing -- no, sorry, waltzing. It was like flying before -- hey, Nikolas.
Nikolas: I have a meeting with Dr. Stanton.
Leyla: Oh, okay, I'll let him know.
Nikolas: Okay. He's going to refer some patients to the clinic.
Nikolas: Well, thank you for dinner last night. I had a really nice time.
Leyla: You can go back now.
Nikolas: Okay, thanks.
Nadine: "Really nice"?
Anna: Hi, darling. How are you?
Anna: Wow, what did I do?
Robin: Your ridiculous testimony on the internet for Patrick? Ring a bell?
Alice: Let me help you.
Edward: My health is very fragile. I have a heart condition, and my sciatica has really been acting up lately.
Monica: You're going to have to do a lot better than that.
Edward: Well, you're a doctor, couldn't you write a note for me?
Monica: I'm not going to have anything to do with your scam. First of all, there's nothing physically wrong with you. Second of all, I'm not going to say there is just to get you out of jury duty.
Edward: You've always been a heartless woman. Uh, but, you know, you've been on trial, so you just ask yourself, would you have liked for me to be on your jury, hmm? No, you'd be doing the legal system a great favor.
Monica: The answer is no.
Alice: Look who's back.
Monica: Hi, Tracy. Any luck finding Luke?
Tracy: Three guesses.
Edward: Now, you can't give up, Tracy. That little girl needs her father, such as he is.
Tracy: I need a break, and I want to check on Lulu. How's she doing?
Edward: Well, we're all concerned.
Monica: She completely fell apart.
Alice: It's like she's a total nut job now.
Tracy: Thank you, John Zacchara. He pulls her into his world all in the name of love, and this is what she gets for it.
Edward: Fortunately, he's about to go on trial for murder.
Tracy: You're kidding?
Tracy: Oh, no that's good news. Maybe he'll go away for a long, long time.
Johnny: You're not hearing me. I need to see Claudia. Either you get her here now, or as soon as I get into that courtroom, I'll throw myself onto the mercy of that judge. I'll plea. I'll take whatever time I get.
Anthony: I'm really tired of being blackmailed.
Johnny: Then why don't you call my bluff.
Anthony: You're quite the enigma, John. I don't know whether to admire you for your determination, or to be appalled by your gullibility. That's your fatal flaw, son. You put your trust in the wrong people. Well, I guess that's why you got me, someone to make sure you don't throw your life away. Guard!
[Knock on door]
Cody: Can I help you?
Clarice: Maybe. Do you work for Jason Morgan?
Cody: I drive for his accountant.
Clarice: I guess that's close enough. I'm Clarice. I work as an editor with Kate Howard for "Crimson."
Cody: It's nice to meet you. How can I help?
Clarice: Um, the thing is, I really need to get in touch with Kate, but she's gone away with Sonny.
Cody: Mr. Morgan and Mr. Corinthos are no longer affiliated. If you really need to get in touch with Kate through Sonny, speak to his bodyguard, Max Giambetti.
Clarice: Oh, that won't work. See, this is personal, you know, woman to woman. Sonny is Kate's fiancée, so I can't go through his bodyguard.
Cody: Is that some kind of female logic? As long as you get the number, why does it matter where it comes from?
Clarice: I don't expect you to understand, and it isn't really necessary that you do. I'm sure that Mr. Morgan has all of Sonny's contact numbers. It's my understanding that he took Kate to some private island that he owns in the Caribbean?
Cody: I just started here, so I don't know anything about Sonny's private real estate holdings. And even if I did, I couldn't just give out numbers without Mr. Morgan's okay. I'll tell him you were here and why, but that's the best I can do.
Clarice: Don't trouble yourself. I'll find another way.
Jax: Mm, thank you.
Carly: Life's going to be perfect. I know things were rocky for a while there.
Jax: Well, what's important is we got through the rough patch, came out on the other side.
Carly: I'm just sorry that I made you doubt how much I love you. I don't ever want to do that again.
Carly: What's that?
Jax: I need your professional opinion with that, actually.
Carly: Oh, well, which one? Because I am multi-talented.
Jax: Well, I'm thinking about building my mom a bigger house, so I want to get your opinion.
Carly: Wow, this is beautiful.
Carly: Huge. This is really big for Lady Jane.
Jax: Well, I was hoping that we could visit a lot.
Carly: Gosh. It's gorgeous. All the windows are beautiful. I mean, the hallways are a little small, but other than that, this is amazing.
Maxie: I can see it now. It's like a horror film on an endless mental loop. I'm going to get on the stand and Scott Baldwin will be looking at me with those mean, little beady eyes, and he's going to start yelling at me and giving me trick questions. It's not going to matter what I say, I'm going to sound guilty. Then he's going to catch me in a lie and then I'm going to feel cornered, and my mouth is going to start flapping way ahead of my brain. And then he's going to charge me with perjury or accessory after the fact or obstruction of justice, God knows what else. I'm going to miss the whole sexual peak of my life on account that I'm going to be in jail because I decided to cover for Lulu's murdering butt instead of calling my dad and turning her in immediately.
Spinelli: Okay, Maximista is working herself into a state rapidly resembling hyperventilation for no good reason. You're under the protection of Stone Cold. He'd never allow you to go to prison.
Maxie: Is that just Spinelli's hero worship talking, or can you really get me out of testifying? Oh, I know. Maybe you could, like, break Scott Baldwin’s kneecaps or leave a horse head on his bed.
Jason: That's not going to get you what you want, okay? If I threaten Baldwin on your behalf, he's going to know that you have something to hide.
Maxie: Hello? I do have something to hide. Both of you better make sure it stays hidden.
Lulu: When I first started seeing visions of Logan, it was only at night so I could tell myself that I was dreaming, but eventually, it didn't matter. Day or night, asleep or awake, he would show up whenever. But now, Logan’s gone.
Laura: Honey, I don't want to dampen your spirits because having you happy is the most important thing to me, but it's only been one night so it's possible that Logan could come back and I don't want you to feel defeated.
Lulu: No, no, I get that. I get it in a way I really couldn't before. Logan was about my guilt. I was punishing myself for killing him and getting away with it. Logan was my conscience come to life, you know? You helped me understand that. I mean, you gave me my sanity back. That's the most profound gift that I've ever received.
Claudia: What the hell did you say to Daddy? He practically shot me out of a cannon.
Johnny: I can't participate in the trial unless you promise me you'll keep your mouth shut about what happened to Lulu.
Claudia: What does that mean? You can't participate? What is that, John?
Johnny: I'll take a deal.
Claudia: Oh, really?
Johnny: Plead out and take the hand I'm dealt, yeah.
Claudia: You don't seriously expect me to sit on something that I know could help you be set free, acquitted of a murder you didn't commit, while your girlfriend, who incidentally did commit it, gets off scott-free?
Johnny: Okay, but it is not Lulu's fault. She didn't premeditate, she defended herself.
Claudia: Hey, you know what? Tell it to Scotty Baldwin.
Johnny: It is too late for that. I covered up this whole murder. I'm the one that destroyed the evidence, broke out of this place and went on the run and evaded capture for weeks. This is on me now, and I need to see it through. Respect me enough to let me do this my way. Promise me, Claudia.
Officer: Time to go.
Claudia: I have an errand to run, so I'm going to be late to court. Just promise me you won't do anything until you talk to me again.
Johnny: Doesn't sound like a promise.
Claudia: Well, hey, I can't say anything if I'm not there, right? I love you. Good luck.
Anna: I know. I did not think that was a very good idea, either. However, your boyfriend is extremely persuasive. And I meant everything that I said. However, you know, I'm not convinced that the internet is really the appropriate venue for any kind of relationship issues.
Robin: I'm not convinced. It is an invasion of privacy.
Anna: I hate to remind you, but you're the one that started this whole cyber-war with your blog. I don't think that Patrick could have come up with this on his own, mm-mm.
Robin: Well, thank you very much for pointing that out.
Anna: That's what mothers are for. And you will find out soon enough.
Patrick: Hey. I've got some new testimonials for you to look at. Coleman is actually surprisingly touching.
Coleman: Are we on?
Patrick: Yeah, ready, okay?
[Coleman clears throat]
Coleman: Hey, Robin. Well, Patrick here asked me to put in a good word, so here goes. Um, you know what I've come to learn about my buddy Patrick here is that underneath, you know, the self-important, self-entitled exterior is really just a self-important, self-entitled interior.
Coleman: Just kiddin', man. Just joking. Okay, uh -- oh, I mean, Patrick, he may be, you know, he's a big important doctor, right? But, Robin, he's, um, he's also just a regular guy, you know, that wants the same things that most guys want, you know? He wants health, wealth, and a little woman to come home to.
Robin: A little woman?
Patrick: Shh, just listen.
Coleman: Come on, dudette, who are you trying to fool? I mean, you know you love the guy, right? I mean, what's not to love? I mean, you don't possibly believe you can do any better. The guy's a brain surgeon for God sake. He's handsome. He's got bucks. And he's -- he's totally in love with you. You know, instead of stringing him along, you should consider yourself lucky, you know? Adopt an attitude of gratitude. Check it out. It's like this. It's like close the eyes, pucker the lips, start making up with a big, sloppy kiss. I just made that up on the spot for you.
Coleman: That's for you. But I'm outta here. This is C. Diddy of Port Charles. Peace.
Robin: Oh, wow.
Anna: So good.
Robin: You thought that was touching?
Patrick: If you consider the source, it is. And I've got Mac and Maxie all lined up, ready to go.
Robin: Yeah, right. My Uncle Mac would never.
Patrick: Hmm. Mac already agreed. Even he thinks you're being stubborn.
Robin: Now that's just mean.
Patrick: Maybe, but whatever works.
Nadine: Can you spare a word of advice about Nikolas?
Elizabeth: I can try.
Nadine: I think I may have misinterpreted. For a guy like Nikolas -- handsome, cultivated, sophisticated -- having a woman over for a four-course meal and dancing, that's like no big deal, right? Sort of more like a coffee date for a normal guy. So whereas the woman is swept off her feet, for someone like Nikolas, it's just no big deal, right?
Nikolas: Elizabeth can't answer that question. Why don't you come right to the source?
Carly: This house is something. Wow.
Jax: Yeah, I was hoping you'd like it.
Carly: It doesn't really matter if I like it. It matters if your mother likes it.
Jax: Well, actually, we don't really have to consider my mother at all.
Carly: That's a little presumptuous, don't you think?
Jax: No, not really. It's ours.
Carly: It's ours?
Jax: Yeah, I put a bid on the property yesterday.
Carly: You want to move?
Jax: I know that you like it here, you know, but this is your house and I still feel like a visitor.
Carly: Jax, that's not true.
Jax: Well, I mean, it's just how I feel, you know? It's easy to be here when things are going well and it's just as easy to walk out when things are not going that well, you know, because it is -- it's your place. I want us to build a place together, you know, something that we are equally invested in.
Carly: A marriage isn't more likely to work because we build a house together.
Jax: No, I understand that. We still have a lot of work to do, and I'm committed to doing that. Besides, this place is too small. We need room for additional family members.
Maxie: Spinelli, do you think you could arrange a new identity for me, like working credit cards and everything?
Spinelli: I could, but I don't think that's the wisest course.
Jason: Nobody has to disappear.
Maxie: That's easy for you to say.
Jason: Okay, just hold on, Maxie. You're very resourceful. You think faster on your feet than anybody, but can you keep your mouth shut when you have to?
Maxie: No, you don't understand. There's something about being in a room full of people with all eyes on me that makes my internal editor just fly out the window. I mean, I open my mouth and it's anybody's guess what's going to come out. Did you hear about my sister's memorial service? I planned on saying all these nice things about Georgie, and I ended up just yelling at my mom and making her leave.
Jason: That's different from being on the witness stand.
Maxie: Yeah, I know. My life wasn't on the line at the memorial service, but it will be at court. And Scott Baldwin is going to be yelling at me and poking holes in every lie.
Jason: Okay, that's what you're missing. You don't have to lie. You just tell the truth as you know it. You don't volunteer any information. You don't give Baldwin any more ammunition he doesn't already have, okay? You've told your story enough on record, it should be reflex by now. All you've got to do is say it again. Now, I know that you can do that.
Maxie: That sounds like a vote of confidence. Should I be flattered? Probably not.
Jason: All right, well, I'm going to get back to work. I'll stop by later.
Spinelli: Stone Cold's advice is the path you should take.
Maxie: I know. I'm going to try. I really am. I just -- I'm terrified. I mean, what if I mess everything up?
Scott: Have you ever been a victim of a violent crime?
Juror: No, and I really hate this whole victimization of America. When did we stop taking responsibility and start blaming our misfortunes on external events?
Scott: We'll pass.
Ric: Have you ever served on a jury before?
Juror: Yeah, sent away some worthless mobster, name of Graciola. He's pretty young. I'd nip him in the bud if I were you.
Ric: If you are chosen to serve on this jury, could you be objective?
Epiphany: Absolutely. I have to be every single day at my job. I'm a supervising nurse.
Ric: Do you know the defendant?
Epiphany: I know who he is.
Ric: And would that knowledge affect you positively or negatively during the course of this trial?
Epiphany: No, sir. I know what would be expected of me. And I would do my utmost best to perform my civic duty.
Ric: This juror is acceptable to the defense, Your Honor.
Scott: No objection.
Judge: Very well. Miss Johnson, welcome aboard.
Scott: Would you please state your name for the record?
Edward: Edward Quartermaine. And there's no way under God's green earth that I could serve on any jury.
Lulu: You know, we should be able to leave here soon.
Laura: Yeah, eventually.
Lulu: Aren't you anxious to go home now that you're getting better?
Laura: I'm pretty content to take it, you know, one day at a time. There's no reason to rush. What matters is right now, you know? Being here with you and out on this beautiful fall day and knowing that I've finally been some help to you.
Lulu: You, oh, my gosh, have been -- you okay?
Laura: Uh, yeah. I'm tired, that's all. It's okay. The doctor said this was going to happen. Can I -- do you mind if I just take a nap?
Lulu: No, gosh, not at all. I'll walk you to your room.
Laura: Oh, no, no. That's okay. You stay outside. You enjoy the fresh air, hmm?
Laura: Don't worry. I'll be back.
Lulu: How long have you been standing there? When did you get back? Did you find my dad?
Tracy: I just got here. How are you?
Lulu: Uh, good.
Tracy: Good. That was my standard answer, too. It covers a lot of territory. Lulu, I went to find your father and I'd like to say I was successful, but I wasn’t.
Lulu: Well, you don't have to bring my dad back. I really am okay.
Tracy: Why are you at Shadybrook?
Lulu: You know, it's a lot better than where Johnny is. He's on trial for a murder that I know he didn't commit. Scott Baldwin’s going to try and railroad him anyway and it's all my fault.
Tracy: Don't blame yourself.
Lulu: Really? Because Johnny would've never gotten caught if he wasn't so desperate to get me help.
Tracy: Lulu, Johnny's family is very powerful and they are going to take care of him. The only person you need to take care of is yourself.
Edward: You see, I'm not a well man because I -- I have a heart condition.
Scott: You look pretty healthy to me, Edward.
Edward: Well, I can't afford not to. You see, image is everything in business. Did I tell you that I run an international corporation?
Edward: I have thousands of employees depending on me, not to mention sole support of my family.
Scott: Really? Well, isn't your daughter-in-law Monica, Chief Cardiologist at General Hospital? And your daughter Tracy, CEO at ELQ?
Edward: You're talking chump change. You have no idea the bills that I face. And serving on a jury would pose a real financial hardship not only on me --
Scott: Financial hardship?
Edward: Well, yes.
Scott: How much money did you make last year just in interest?
Edward: I don't have to tell you that.
Scott: Yeah, you do.
Judge: Actually, Mr. Quartermaine, you do.
Edward: That's outrageous, Your Honor --
Scott: How much?
Scott: What? We didn't hear that figure.
Edward: One hundred million.
Scott: $100 million in interest. Well, well, well.
Edward: Besides, I'm biased. I know that kid and I dislike him.
Judge: Mr. Quartermaine, I am losing my patience.
Scott: No more questions. Acceptable.
Edward: Hey. Hey, surely you're not going to agree with that boob. It's your duty to protect your client from potential landmines like me, and it's impossible for me to be objective about this young thug.
Ric: Look, I don't think we have anything to worry about. We'll just roll the dice with Quartermaine. He's full of bluster now, but I don't think he's going to really destroy Lulu by convicting you.
Johnny: Maybe, but why do you think Baldwin let him through in the first place?
Ric: He doesn't have any more exceptions. Juror is acceptable, Your Honor.
Scott: Prosecution accepts.
Ric: The defense accepts this juror.
Judge: I want to thank you in advance for your service. We will take the morning break, then reconvene for start of trial in 15 minutes.
Edward: I can't believe that I'm going to be locked up in this box with total strangers for an indefinite period of time.
Epiphany: You know what?
Epiphany: You need to stop. A man like you who has benefited so much from what this country has to offer, and you're whining about participating in our justice system? You should be ashamed of yourself.
Juror: Miss Johnson? Or is it Mrs.?
Epiphany: It's Ms., and you can call me Epiphany.
Juror: Well, you were about to leave this, Epiphany. Ron Price and I'm glad to meet you.
Nadine: You probably think I'm one of those people who babble on and on to any convenient warm body about stuff that should --
Nadine: Really be kept private.
Nikolas: No, not at all. I think you're terrific. I just wish that you would come to me with questions about me. And just to set the record straight, I had a great time last night and hope that we can do it again soon.
Nadine: If you're saying that just to be polite, don't bother.
Nikolas: Polite? Well, yeah, there's no doubt about that. I'm pathologically polite. I also have a low threshold for boredom. So I would never ask you to come back to my home if I didn't enjoy your company -- which I do very much. Have a nice day.
Carly: I want a baby with you, too, more than anything.
Jax: So what are we waiting for?
Carly: Okay, let's do it. Our new house -- I can hardly wait.
Jax: You mean it?
Carly: Yeah, I mean it. We're on our way back and we're going to be better than ever.
Maxie: Maybe Jason's right. Maybe Scott will be so focused on making Johnny look guilty that he'll stick to the facts as he knows them, and I can get on and off the stand without ruining anything. I still wish Jason would just threaten Scott into oblivion, but --
Spinelli: You know, I -- I fear Stone Cold's ruthless efficiency may have been compromised by unwise actions on my part.
Maxie: I thought I told you that whole Jason-Sasha affair was all in your head, Spinelli.
Spinelli: No, I know that now. I just -- before I was struck by enlightenment, I'd already --
[Knock on door]
Elizabeth: Will you excuse us for a minute? I have to check his vitals.
Maxie: Yeah, I -- I should go. Feel better, okay?
Spinelli: Fair Elizabeth?
Spinelli: Have I inspired your anger?
Elizabeth: Why would you ask such a thing?
Spinelli: It was I who urged you to make forbidden contact with Stone Cold.
Elizabeth: Spinelli, you don't have to apologize. What happened last night is on me and Jason -- no one else.
Jason: Whoever ran Spinelli down and left him to die is gonna pay. I want you to look into it. I want you to see if it's tied to Karpov -- the sooner the better.
Cody: I'll stay on it.
Jason: All right.
Cody: By the way, Kate Howard’s assistant was here, Clarice. She wanted a number for Sonny's private island.
Jason: You know, that's for Sonny's people to handle.
Cody: Exactly what I said.
Carly: Hey. Hi. I have the best news. Do you have time to hear?
Jason: Sure. Cody, get to the bottom of this for me.
Cody: I will.
Jason: Well, I haven't seen you smile that big in a long time. What happened?
Carly: Jax came home. My marriage isn't over.
Anthony: We got our plant on the jury, no problem. Not guilty verdict is in the bag.
Trevor: Tony, don't let anybody see you acting too cocky. We gotta play this straight all the way.
Anthony: What do you think I am, an idiot? If it comes out that the fix is in, it'll be from your fat mouth. And I'm warning you ahead of time, do not use my son's trial to sabotage your son or to get back at me for choosing Ric as Johnny's lawyer.
Trevor: Do you think that we could get through one glorious day without you insulting my integrity?
Judge: Bring in the jury.
Alan: Don't look now, Tracy, but you've got feathers around your mouth.
Tracy: Well, it's too delicious. Can you imagine how furious daddy is having to sit on a jury?
Alan: Trapped among the great unwashed day after endless day.
Tracy: I don't think I could've designed a more perfect torture and that's just the cake. The icing is that he already thinks that John Zacchara is guilty. It only takes one.
Alan: Well, I have to agree with you, Tracy. I think John Zacchara's days are numbered.
Alexis: I'm a little surprised to see you here again.
Jax: Well, Carly and I are back together. I moved back in, but that's temporary.
Alexis: What? Wait, back up a second. You're back together, but it's temporary?
Jax: The marriage is permanent, the location is going to change. I, uh, I put a bid in on a property yesterday and we're going to build a house.
Jax: Yes. And I was hoping that you could handle the transaction.
Jax: Yeah, I have a bunch of corporate attorneys that could do it, but I trust you and I want to make sure it gets done right.
Alexis: I'm sorry. I can't do it.
Jax: I was afraid you might say that. It's not as if you don't have a job already.
Alexis: That's not the issue. You know that I would do anything for you, except I'm not going to participate in getting your heart broken again.
Carly: When Jax told me that he was coming back home, he surprised me with plans for a new house. This man I thought only existed in fantasies, but he's real. Jax is all mine.
Jason: Well, I'm happy for you.
Carly: Hey, look. I really want to thank you for keeping me calm and steady.
Jason: All I did was pull you back when you wanted to play detective with Karpov.
Carly: Yeah. I admit that was potentially very, very dangerous.
Carly: It was better than running back to Sonny, and we both know that's exactly what would've happened. And that would've turned out bad for everyone. I am so grateful that Jax does not know about the night I spent with Sonny. We made it and nothing's going to tear us apart.
Max: Okay, we'll see you then. The boss and Ms. Howard are on their way back from the island.
Diane: Fabulous. All right, now, after they get here, I will find some way to divert Sonny while you take Kate aside and you just tell her about Sonny's limo sex with Carly.
Max: I -- I can't do that.
Diane: You can't not do that.
Max: It's not even my business.
Diane: That's why I'm here, darling. I'm deputizing you.
Max: Are you going to feed me when I'm in the unemployment line?
Diane: It is not fair for Kate to enter into a marriage with Sonny without being in possession of all the facts. The woman has a right to make an informed decision.
[Knock on door]
Clarice: Is Kate back yet? I need to speak to her right away.
Judge: Before we proceed, I have further information for the jury. This is a case of murder with special circumstances. If you should find the defendant guilty, the prosecution is entitled to ask you to impose the death penalty.
Ric: Your Honor, I -- I object. When did this become a capital murder case?
Scott: When you weren't looking. Eye for an eye -- deal with it, Lansing.
Ric: I object, Your Honor. This is a lie perpetrated by Mr. Baldwin to avenge the death of his own son.
Anthony: You're not going to kill my boy.
Judge: Order! Another outburst like that and I'll have you all brought up on contempt. Mr. Lansing.
Ric: Your Honor, Logan Hayes was not a member of the police department.
Scott: Your Honor, the victim was a police officer and I can prove it.
