Claudia: Uh, a little busy here, John.

Ric: Yeah, could you come back later and maybe call first?

Johnny: So this is what you had to do to get him to defend me, huh? Sleep with the poor bastard?

Kate: Sonny's not out of the mob?

Olivia: Honey, you know what? You know me, when I get upset, I just start running my mouth --

Kate: How do you know, Olivia?

Olivia: Connie --

Kate: Do you know --

Olivia: I've been out of your life for 20 years, Connie or Kate, whatever your name is. I can't even keep them straight all the time. I just need you to know that you need to keep calm and not stress out.

Kate: Just tell me, Olivia. I need to know the truth.

Olivia: Okay, um, I heard Sonny talking since you been shot, and, um, he says he's going to go to war over you.

Jason: If you're working for Sonny, why tell me?

Cody: When I was approached to turn against you, I agreed so that I could be on the inside and get information, find out how many people Sonny's gotten to, how far he's taken this.

Jason: And where it ends.

Sonny: How could you possibly help me avenge Kate? What kind of resources are you offering?

Anthony: It's simple. I'll hand my power over to you. You can run my organization as you see fit.

Nadine: A little chip in the bark, that's what Aunt Raylene would call it. No damage to the tree.

Nikolas: Well, Raylene didn't see you fall.

Nadine: It doesn't even hurt -- much.

Elizabeth: Nadine? Hey. Oh, my God, what happened to you?

Nadine: No, it's no big deal.

Nikolas: She fell down the stairs at the Elm Street pier and landed on her face. She could have a serious head injury.

Nadine: No, I do not need a wheelchair.

Nikolas: Sit down. You're dizzy. You're disoriented, come on.

Nadine: Look, I'm fine now.

Leyla: We need to make sure.

Nikolas: Yeah, x-rays, C.T. scans, whatever you need to do, I'll take care of it.

Leyla: Let's get her examined first.

Nadine: The only thing wrong with me is that I'm a klutz.

Nikolas: Well, after they've completely checked you out, I'll give you a ride home, okay?

Nadine: You don't have to do that. You've already been subjected to enough for today.

Nikolas: I want to.

Leyla: Okay, it's settled. Off we go.

Elizabeth: Oh, that poor girl. I can't believe that happened to her.

Nikolas: I know.

Elizabeth: On top of everything else.

Nikolas: Yeah, I mean, she called my name, I turned around, and down she went. When I offered to help her, she just -- well, you heard her just now. She wants me to keep my distance from her.

Elizabeth: Are you sure you're not the one who fell and hit your head?

[Nikolas scoffs]

Johnny: Ric knew that if he botched my case, Dad would have his head on a spike so you wanted to give him some incentive to defend me and save my life. And you promised to sleep with him and probably promised to work with him after the fact, am I right?

Claudia: That's partly true, but that's not --

Ric: Nobody asked your opinion.

Johnny: Wait, wait, wait. Do you think she would have looked at you twice if my life hadn't been on the line?

Ric: Guess what? Your life isn't on the line, John. You're free.

Johnny: Yeah, that's right. The trial's over and I can't be tried again for the same crime, so why are you doing this? Why are you keeping him on a string?

Claudia: That's not what this is about.

Johnny: You already cut yourself wide open on that witness stand for me, lied to the whole world by claiming that you had sex with that pig Logan Hayes. Now you're going to sleep with this piece of garbage when all he wants is to be in on the inner circle and maybe grab some on the side.

Ric: Okay, you know what? You got your freedom, John, and your sister and I made that happen. Now, you don't get to have an opinion about how we did that, and you definitely don't get to have an opinion about what we do with each other now.

Kate: Did Sonny say those words? Did he say he's going to war?

Olivia: Honey, you're coming out of a major surgery right now. The doctors need to know that you're awake, so I --

Kate: Olivia.

Olivia: Honey --

Kate: Tell me what you know.

Olivia: Take it easy. Just take it easy because --

Kate: Olivia, the truth can't be worse than what I'm imagining. Just, please, tell me.

Olivia: Okay. There is some guy named Karpov, some Russian gangster guy. He's come -- trying to get a foothold in Port Charles.

Kate: I know. I know who Karpov is. Why would he want to shoot me?

Olivia: Well, Sonny had some kind of business deal going with him. He backed out at the last minute. Karpov had you shot to send a message that he doesn't like being double-crossed.

Kate: I don't -- I don't know why Sonny would say all this in front of you.

Olivia: Well, Sonny says a lot without opening his mouth. Plus, I got the confirmation and the details from someone else.

Kate: Who?

Olivia: Carly.

Kate: Then it's a lie.

Jason: Sonny's moving a lot faster than I thought.

Cody: He's reaching out to the other lieutenants, but that doesn't mean that any of them are going to cooperate.

Jason: Well, you know what? Those men have a lot of reason to have blind loyalty to Sonny.

Cody: I get that I might be new at this and that people might be careful about what they say to me, but working for Bernie, I make a lot of deliveries. I come into contact with all the other lieutenants. My impression? They like the way you're running things. You're stable. You're reliable. You keep things low-key.

Jason: Well, sometimes that's a mistake. I mean, Sonny's aggressive, but it's worked for him, you know? There's guys like Karpov and Zacchara, they make the men nervous. And if Sonny promises to get rid of them, he's going to have people willing to listen to him.

Spinelli: Oh, sorry for my prolonged absence. Apologies. I'm sorry, it's clear you and the valiant vet were engrossed --

Jason: I need you to run a phone trace for me. I want you to find out which lieutenants Sonny has been talking to in the last 48 hours.

Sonny: My bride was shot right before my eyes. It was a terrible thing, but the anger hasn't made me stupid, Anthony. There's no way in hell you would share your power with me.

Anthony: No, not share. You can run things.

Sonny: You're wasting my time, old man.

Anthony: I don't have it to waste, Sonny. I am an old man, paralyzed in a wheelchair. I've spent half my life chasing after the crazy thoughts in my mind and the other half trying to get them under control. That takes its toll. I don't have to tell you that. I have to start planning for my future.

Sonny: If you're ready to step down, why don't you turn things over to Johnny or Claudia? They're your blood.

Anthony: All right, if you were in my place, which one of my progeny would you pick to carry on what it took me a lifetime to build? Johnny's too young, too impulsive. And Claudia is Claudia, ambitious just like her mother was. She's too treacherous to be an effective leader, not that I think that any woman could be. You know what it takes to be in charge -- the sacrifices, the tough decisions that have to be made. I need someone with your experience and you need my organization. That's the only way you're going to get your revenge.

Elizabeth: So Nadine fell down the stairs and landed flat on her face, as you so delicately put it. I'm sure she was mortified.

Nikolas: It could've happened to anyone.

Elizabeth: But it didn’t. It happened to her in front of you, a man who's been keeping her at arm's length for months and who has now finally decided to open the door to many more wonderful possibilities.

Nikolas: You have this lavish, romantic scenario in your --

Elizabeth: Nikolas, she likes you.

Nikolas: What? She practically ran out of the room the morning -- the morning after.

Elizabeth: Okay, I get it.

Nikolas: I just need to respect her boundaries right now.

Elizabeth: Okay, you've rescued Nadine. You've taken her to your island chateau and nursed her back to health. Things became intimate. I don't know, it's about the most romantic scenario I can think of. I hardly doubt she just up and left without a glance backwards. She's pretending not to care because she cares too much.

Nikolas: Didn't even stay for breakfast, Liz.

Elizabeth: You made her breakfast?

Nikolas: No, Alfred brought it in like he always does.

Elizabeth: Oh, God.

Nikolas: And then he and I started talking business, and the next thing I know --

Elizabeth: Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Nadine is laying in your bed after what was probably the most wonderful night of her life and you're talking business with Alfred? Do you think maybe that's why she feels like, I don't know, part of the routine?

Nikolas: I don't think I did anything to make her feel that way.

Elizabeth: Well, not intentionally. But, Nikolas, your world is a mystery to her. She's so desperately just wanting to fit in. And every time she tries, she falls flat on her face.

Nikolas: I just want her to be herself.

Elizabeth: Well, don't tell me. Tell her.

Johnny: Hey, door's that way. And don't ever come back and don't touch my sister --

Ric: Show some respect, okay? A little gratitude while you're at it. Your sister here -- thank you -- perjured herself on the stand to make sure that you didn't go to prison. Now you're acting like a moron.

Johnny: Yeah, you couldn't wait to take advantage of it, could you?

Claudia: John, come -- you know, that's ridiculous. Nobody takes advantage of me. You of all people know that.

Johnny: You said so yourself. You said so yourself, that you promised to sleep with the guy.

Claudia: Okay, yeah, that was before he got you acquitted. I didn't actually have to go through with it. I wanted to.

Anthony: This is a business proposition. You get the men and the resources to hit back at Karpov.

Sonny: What's in it for you?

Anthony: When I announce I'm stepping down, that giant sucking sound you hear will be the whole world rushing in to fill the vacuum and steal a piece of my life. Now, if I say that I'm turning things over to Sonny Corinthos, you'll hear the collective sound of bowels constricting. Survival, that's what's in it for me. And insuring my legacy.

Sonny: I'll think about that.

Anthony: You will, and this is the stuff of legend. Sonny, I don't kid myself. I know it will come with a hefty price tag, but I'm gambling it will be worth it, starting with these damn Russians. If I was in a stronger position, I'd have already gotten rid of Karpov. I was hoping Jason would take action. I'll be honest with you. He doesn't exactly inspire confidence now that he's in a leadership role. He refuses to do what needs to be done.

Sonny: It's interesting how this conversation now is becoming an anti-Jason, you know, speech.

Anthony: He stole your business. How could you be defending him?

Sonny: I don't want to do this! End of conversation. I'm no hired gun. You can't pay me enough to run your organization.

Anthony: You don't have a lot options. Karpov's well protected and you can't take him down on your own.

Sonny: You don't think so? Watch me.

Olivia: Hey. Dr. Drake looked pretty pleased with himself. What did he say?

Kate: Oh, just that I have you to thank, not only for being alive, but also being able to walk because you listened to his recommendations for surgery.

Olivia: I think the guy with the scalpel deserves some of the credit. And Sonny.

Kate: Wow. You came dangerously close to saying something nice about my fiancée.

Olivia: Oh, come on, you know the thing with Sonny is never black and white. Even back in the day, when he started running with Joe Scully, you could always look in those dark soulful eyes of his and sort of convince yourself that maybe what he was doing wasn't all that bad. But when he came to see me the other day, talking all this love and conviction, what got lost in that conversation is the reason that you got gunned down at the altar, Connie. Sonny lied when he said he was out of the mob. He lied every time he made a promise to you. He lied every time he talked about the normal life that you were going to have. Every time --

Kate: Enough. Enough, Olivia. You're trying to turn me away from Sonny, and I know why. Because you have his son.

Olivia: Why you gotta keep bringing my son into this?

Kate: It's always been there, Olivia, between us. It colors everything that you think, everything that you say, the fact that Dante is Sonny's child, too.

Olivia: You know what? As far as I'm concerned, Dante’s father could have been any one of three or four different guys I was going with back then.

Kate: Oh, really, Olivia? How many of those guys did you actually sleep with? It was only Sonny.

Olivia: You listen to me, Connie. I will cut my tongue out before I tell Dante that Sonny is his father, okay? And whether you stay with him or you walk away like you should have done a long time ago, I expect you to keep your promise.

Kate: I made that promise when we were teenagers.

Olivia: You swore on the Blessed Virgin --

Kate: A lot has changed, Olivia.

Olivia: And all the saints --

Kate: It was a long time ago. The family hated Sonny. We are not teenagers anymore.

Olivia: Connie, if Sonny knew the truth, if he knew that Dante was his son, he would want to meet him and he would drag him into this life.

Kate: No, he wouldn't Olivia. Sonny is a good and loving father.

Olivia: He got you shot, Connie --

Kate: That is Carly’s version.

Olivia: With a hollow-point bullet designed to do the most possible damage. He almost got you killed, almost paralyzed. What do you think about that, Connie? What do you think? No more swaning around in the latest fashions. No more climbing up the stairs or dancing or walking around. You'd be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of your life because of Sonny's lies.

Kate: Stop blaming Sonny.

Sonny: She should blame me, so should you. It's my fault.

Spinelli: These are the names of Stone Cold's loyal lieutenants -- or the lieutenants whose loyalty is in question. Each received a call from Mr. Sir within the last 48 hours.

Cody: Sonny -- Mr. Sir?

Spinelli: Correct.

Jason: What about these names right here, the last three you checked?

Spinelli: They received multiple calls.

Jason: Okay, I want you to go back to the penthouse right now.

Spinelli: First, could I humbly request a word? A brief word?

Cody: I have some calls to make.

Spinelli: It would seem that stone cold plans to thwart Mr. Sir's takeover attempt by force, if necessary.

Jason: Okay, I'm not going to talk to about this stuff. I don't want you involved any more than you already are.

Spinelli: Listen, I do not wish to pry, and I'm not speaking as a business associate, but as a friend. It appears you would enter into this fight with a heavy heart, that you do not wish to battle with a man who has been your friend and mentor, that you do not wish to run this organization at all.

Jason: Some things you can't change.

Spinelli: Stone Cold is doing what he thinks is his duty, but he doesn't have to. You can just stop. Let Mr. Sir do what he wants. All you have to do is step aside.

Elizabeth: Nadine is still with the doctor. She'll be out soon.

Nikolas: Maybe I shouldn't be here, then.

Elizabeth: What? Isn't that what we've been talking about?

Nikolas: It's about what she wants.

Elizabeth: You leaving would be the opposite of what she wants.

Nikolas: I just don't understand why it has to be so difficult and complicated.

Elizabeth: Oh, so now you only want to be in easy and uncomplicated relationships?

Nikolas: Haven't you ever felt that something was so impossible that maybe it just wasn't meant to be?

Elizabeth: Yeah, you mean when two people have this amazing connection and circumstances keep pulling them apart? And then you finally decide to go for it, and disaster strikes?

Nikolas: Yeah, like that.

Elizabeth: Yeah, well, these little disasters are just inconveniences. You know, you can be with Nadine if you want. You just have to do one thing.

Nikolas: And what's that?

Elizabeth: Be honest with each other.

Nadine: I think fate's trying to tell me something.

Leyla: Yeah, it's telling you to watch where you're going, look before you run down stairs, and don't get so caught up in Nikolas that you don't see anything else.

Nadine: Maybe it's telling me I shouldn't be with Nikolas at all.

Leyla: So that's your world view, is it? We're all singled out for arbitrary pain and heartbreak?

Nadine: Well, Aunt Raylene would say that tragedy is life's high colonic.

Leyla: Forget about Aunt Raylene for a second and tell me this. Would you care if you never saw Nikolas again? Never talked to him or took those long rides on the island? Never slept with him again?

Johnny: You really want to sleep with this guy, son of a man you despise.

Ric: Okay, John, I'm not my father.

Johnny: Don't bet on it.

Ric: Oh, really? And I saved you from lethal injection -- isn't that nice?

Johnny: Don't you see how twisted this is? Ric and Dad are suddenly in good favor, and you think that it's going to give you some sort of leverage to sleep with him?

Ric: You know what, John? I think you're over-thinking this right now, okay? Claudia and I enjoy each other. What we do is none of your business.

Johnny: My sister getting hurt is my business.

Ric: Oh.

Johnny: You're using her, and I'm not going to let that happen.

Claudia: I don't need you to protect me, honey.

Johnny: Get out and don't come back

Ric: You want to punish yourself, that's fine. Go ahead. You're ignoring everybody's advice to not get involved with Lulu Spencer. You bring her into your life, and then -- now she's losing her mind, okay, deal with it. You know what –

Nikolas: Hi. Leyla said her test results were in?

Matt: Yes. She's going to be fine, other than a bruised ego. She'll be up and at 'em in no time.

Nikolas: Good. It's a bit soon for you to be back to work, isn't it?

Matt: I heal fast. Oh, and I've got bills to pay.

Nikolas: Well, I can work on getting an increase on the amount your fellowship is, if --

Matt: I -- I don't need your charity. No offense, it's -- I don't need charity from anyone, but --

Nikolas: Okay.

Matt: Thank you, though. I understand that you pulled me from the fire.

Nikolas: I did, but did Nadine mention that she refused to be rescued until they pulled you out first?

Nadine: I hope that it, in some small way, makes up for all the trouble that I caused you.

Matt: Just do yourself a favor and stop investigating me.

Nadine: He's not really as mean as he seems.

Nikolas: Well, as long as you're okay, I don't really care whatever else happens.

Jason: Sonny wants to kill Karpov, and we're not even sure he's the one who shot Kate.

Spinelli: Have you expressed these doubts to Mr. Sir?

Jason: Yes, I've expressed everything to him. He's not thinking clearly, man. He's out for blood. He's got something to prove because I wouldn't go along with him. Sonny's going to hate me for it, but I have to stop him.

Sonny: Well, this is a good sign. I wait five minutes and you're already picking a fight with your cousin.

[Kate chuckles]

Kate: Oh, I must look awful.

Sonny: You look beautiful, what are you talking about?

Kate: See? He's handsome and diplomatic. I knew there was a reason I was marrying you.

Sonny: I like to hear you talk like that, because it makes me feel like you're going to be fine.

Kate: I wasn't going to die, Sonny, and leave just when we're about to get everything we wanted.

Sonny: You did not deserve what happened.

Kate: It happened to both of us. We're going to get through this together.

Sonny: You need to rest.

Kate: Don't leave.

Sonny: No, it just that, you know, doctor's orders and, uh -- we've got plenty of time to talk. You -- I don't want -- you're going to get tired, you know what I mean?

Kate: Well, will you stay with me until I fall asleep?

Sonny: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[Sonny clears throat]

Kate: I want to feel what it's going to be like when you're the last thing I see every night.

Claudia: What are you doing?

Ric: I'm going to have Vaughn bring some handlers over here to take care of him.

Claudia: No, I got it. I got my brother.

Ric: No, your brother is out of his mind with rage and grief. He's looking for a target.

Claudia: That's why you can't be here when he wakes up.

Ric: Yeah, well, I'm not leaving you alone here with this maniac.

Claudia: John would never hurt me.

Ric: Oh, really? Well, your brother just pretty much called you a whore, Claudia, for sleeping with me. When he wakes up, I don't want you --

Claudia: Hey, don't make the mistake of thinking that you understand us or that you're ever going to turn me against my brother.

Ric: I'm sorry; I just like having you around.

Claudia: I can take care of John. If you're not here, I can handle him.

Ric: All right. First sign that he's violent, you get the hell out, okay?

Claudia: Go.

Ric: I mean it.

Claudia: I'll call you.

Johnny: Did you hit me?

Nikolas: Maybe I haven't been making myself clear.

Nadine: Oh, I -- I think you've been very clear.

Nikolas: Really? About what?

Nadine: You wanted to -- so you felt obligated to stay to see how badly I was hurt.

Nikolas: Yeah -- uh, yeah. I'm just glad it's not serious.

Nadine: No, it's nothing -- nothing serious. Don't worry.

Nikolas: But I was worried.

Nadine: Okay.

Nikolas: So, okay, what -- what did you want to see me about?

Nadine: I wanted to see you about?

Nikolas: Yeah, you called me, told me to meet you at the pier. You said you had something important.

Nadine: Oh, um, right. What I wanted to say earlier, um, the thing I needed to talk to you about --

Nikolas: Yeah?

Nadine: Just because we slept together, that -- that doesn't have to change anything. Um, people do that all the time and go back to their lives just like normal. And I just wanted to let you know that it's not going to interfere with my work here or at the clinic. So we can just -- I just wanted to make sure we could be friends.

Nikolas: Of course, yeah.

Nadine: Great. So, friends? Okay.

Claudia: I don't want you to go to sleep, okay? You could have a concussion. We'll just stay up and watch movies, old movies like we used to. We'll do all the dialogue, okay?

Johnny: Stop nursing me and tell me why the hell you would sleep with Ric Lansing.

Claudia: I did. I told you. You just didn't like my answer. Hey, I find the guy attractive, okay? I get him. He gets me. And there's the little fact that he saved your life, little brother, who I love more than anything else in the entire world, so --

Johnny: You saved me, Claudia. You and nobody else. You have no obligation to Ric Lansing, so I want you to promise me right now that you're not going see him again.

[Anthony laughs]

Anthony: Let me see this. Oh, you got in some kind of fight.

Ric: Yeah, no fight, actually. Your son attacked me.

Anthony: Eh, I'll give you a bump in salary. We'll call it hazard pay.

Ric: Gee, thanks.

Anthony: It's understandable that Johnny's volatile right now. His little Lulu cracked like a coconut smacking cement.

Ric: Yeah, this seems to be a little more than frat boy antics, Anthony, okay? John lost it. He tried to kill me. He went that far. Makes following in daddy's footsteps all the better, right? You must be proud.

Anthony: Careful.

Ric: You have a seriously dangerous blind spot when it comes to that son of yours.

Anthony: Claudia can handle John.

Ric: You'd better hope so. Because now that you've shot Kate and you've set this whole plan into motion, that's a complication that you're not going to need.

Anthony: Ric, it's my plan. I am aware of the players, and I know what has to be done. Johnny letting off a little steam is not going to affect my plans for co-opting the once great Sonny Corinthos.

Ric: Yeah, you know, if you are successful in bringing Sonny into this organization, you might want to put John on a leash. Because if he goes after Sonny the way he did me today, one of them is not going to live through it.

Olivia: The smartest girl in the world and you're still stupid over that guy. Oh, I tried to warn you he was dangerous, but you always thought -- well, you knew I was jealous that Sonny fell in love with you. Probably made my warnings pretty easy to ignore, right? But, uh, see, the thing -- the thing I loved about Sonny was the thing that scared you away. You know, that danger, that feeling like anything could happen. Scared you right off to Princeton, but you made your dreams come true. Yeah, you should have stayed there, Connie -- Katherine Hardwicke Howard. You should have stayed there in your snobby world with your made up name. You should have run and not walked when you saw Sonny Corinthos again because no matter how that man gets to you, he is dangerous. Heck, if you want to wreck your life over Sonny Corinthos, you go right ahead, but I will be damned if I let you drag my kid down with you.

[Knock on door]

Olivia: Yeah?

Diane: Hi, I'm Diane Miller. I'm a friend of your cousin’s.

Olivia: Olivia Falconeri. Nice to meet you.

Diane: We didn't get a chance to formally meet at the ceremony.

Olivia: Yeah, there wasn't a lot of time for introductions. You know, a real friend would have talked her out of this.

[Diane chuckles]

Diane: Yeah, well, believe me, I tried, right up until the moment that she was going to walk down the aisle.

Kate: Diane, is that you?

Diane: Hi. Oh, it's true what they say, you know, you cannot keep a good woman down.

Kate: Thank you for coming.

Diane: The doctors assure me that you are going to make a full recovery. And I am so glad because the world of fashion cannot keep spinning without you. This woman right here is a woman of vision. Her seminal layouts have set the bar for the entire industry. And my personal favorite -- when she broke a fabulous shoe designer, Christian Cartullo.

[Cell phone rings]

Olivia: I got to take this. Dante, are you all right? It's a reflex when you're son calls unexpectedly. You what?

[Olivia sighs]

Kate: Diane, I need you to be completely honest with me. Did Andrei Karpov shoot me because Sonny is still in the mob?

Man: Everything I got, I owe to you, Mr. Corinthos. You always took good care of me.

Sonny: I appreciate that you stayed on after the power transferred. Um, after my son was shot, I made an unwise choice and I gave Jason more responsibility than he could handle, and he's paralyzed by the leadership. He's unable to act. I'm sure you know the Russians made a public attempt on my life. They shot my wife-to-be at the altar. Jason doesn't want to retaliate. Makes him look weak, makes everybody vulnerable, so I had no choice but to take over.

Jason: It's not going to happen.

Claudia: My personal life is off limits, just like yours.

Johnny: You cannot have anything resembling feelings for Ric Lansing.

Claudia: You're going to tell me what I feel now?

Johnny: That guy is half crazy and he's a user. Ask anybody around town about half the crap he's been involved with.

Claudia: You know, given the collective mental state of our family, I don't think any of us is in a position to judge -- present company included. I maybe just saved you from killing Ric. Give me a break here, John. Come on. What would I have done? How would I explain that to a jury? A terrifying altercation that you saved me from yet again, what, for the second time this year? I really don't think that even I could sell that to a jury.

Johnny: Nice try at a diversion, Claudia, but if you care at all for Ric Lansing, you will end this right now.

Claudia: That doesn't make any sense.

Johnny: It does make sense because the second that he hurts you, betrays you, or makes you cry, I'll kill him.

Anthony: What specifically did John do to set you off?

Ric: Look, the details aren't important. The fact is that John is a loose cannon. He could blow this plan of yours all to hell.

Anthony: I already moved to the next phase. I went to Sonny tonight. I made a very compelling argument for coming to work for us. But as expected, he turned me down, but the seeds have been planted. All they need is time to grow. In the mean time, Jason will keep shutting Sonny out, and Sonny's pride and his anger will build until he has no choice but to turn to us. And then with Sonny as the figurehead, we will take Jason and his entire organization down.

Milo: We don't even work for Jason anymore. You can't just walk in here.

Milo: And drink his liquor.

Max: Shut up. I need to think this through, okay? I can't risk getting the boss involved yet.

Milo: Involved in what?

Max: When I was visiting Dad in Sicily, he was so impressed with everything I told him that he's coming for a visit.

Milo: Wow, good. It'll be good to see him.

Max: Idiot. I told him I'm running the Port Charles mob.

Milo: Whoa.

Diane: There is no question that Sonny loves you. There is nothing more important to him than your full and complete recovery, so this is no time to be asking questions like that. There's plenty of time --

Kate: Carly would do or say anything to sabotage my relationship with Sonny, but still, Diane, after all that I've seen, it hurt. I have to wonder, did I want to believe too much?

Diane: Look, see, you are just going to upset yourself all over again for no good reason.

Kate: No good reason? Diane, there is plenty good reason if Carly is telling the truth, right? She told my cousin that Karpov shot me because Sonny backed out some deal, that it was retaliation. And she implied that Sonny never left the mob. It's not true, Diane, right? Carly's lying.

Diane: Okay, I can tell you this much without betraying attorney/client privilege. Sonny may have changed who he does business with, but he has not entirely changed the business he does.

Olivia: I told you, I do not need you to check on me. No, I am your mother and I told you. Dante, I do not want you in Port Charles.

Sonny: I'm sorry you had to hear that. I -- I just got nowhere else to turn right now. You created this situation.

Jason: The men all know what's at stake, Sonny. They know if the organization turns against itself, everybody loses. This is what you wanted. It was your choice. You're not -- you're not getting back in.

Sonny: Now is the time to strike. I'm telling you that right now. Tommy, tell them you agree with what I'm saying, and then --

Tommy: I'm sorry, Mr. Corinthos, Mr. Morgan's in charge. That's the way you wanted it, and it's good business for everybody.

Jason: I've been in contact with all the other lieutenants. There's nothing you can do. This is not your organization anymore.

Sonny: So you're going -- you're going to do this to me in the time that I need you most? I really, really hope one day you don't regret it.

Jason: I already do.
