Claudia: Well, it's not every day a Corinthos summons a Zacchara. Must be important.

Sonny: Jason knows I'm in business with Karpov.

Claudia: You had to know that was going to happen.

Sonny: Okay. Not too many people know about my involvement. You're one of them. Did you spill your guts to Jason?

Jason: It's not going to be easy to stop Karpov without dragging Sonny into this.

Spinelli: While we're on the subject of that most dubious personage -- I'm referring to comrade Karpov, of course, not Mr. Sir --

[Knock on door]

Ric: Got a minute?

Jason: For what?

Spinelli: Why would Stone Cold spend any of his precious over-extended time in conversation with the twisted Darth Lansing?

Ric: Because I'm the guy who can help Johnny and Lulu.

Anthony: Wow. You're a lovely sight for this pair of tired old eyes.

Carly: If only you were as decrepit as you'd like the rest of us to believe.

Anthony: You flatter me.

Carly: I hear you're leaving us soon.

Anthony: The house is almost ready to move into.

Carly: Well, I hope the Metro Court lived up to your expectations.

Anthony: No complaints.

Carly: Glad to hear it.

Anthony: I like this. We're having a pleasant little Chatty Cathy kind of moment. Maybe you're willing to take it a step further and tell me -- how's my son?

Maxie: Could you page Dr. Matt Hunter, please?

Elizabeth: He's assisting in a surgery. Would you like to leave him a message?

Maxie: They actually let that guy in an operating room?

Elizabeth: He's a surgical resident. That's generally how it works.

Maxie: No, Matt Hunter is an arrogant jerk. He's not nearly as brilliant or talented as he thinks he is.

Elizabeth: Well, Dr. Behar, who's letting him assist, obviously disagrees.

Maxie: Even if Matt Hunter is a halfway decent doctor, he's still the world's worst roommate. He's rude, inconsiderate, helps himself to whatever he feels like. He used my shampoo, which you can only get from a special salon in Manhattan. And he keeps eating my cheese enchiladas, so I have to go to the nature food market to get more.

Elizabeth: You know, maybe you should take this up with him when he's off duty.

Maxie: No, no, no. You just give him these and you tell him I expect full reimbursement. He's lucky I'm not charging extra for emotional distress.

Elizabeth: Okay, this is not my duty. You're going to have to handle this yourself.

Maxie: Wow. Hold onto things much? I mean, it's been ages since I was with Lucky. Don't you think it's time to let that go?

Elizabeth: I'm simply telling you that this is not in my job description.

Maxie: No, no. Never mind, okay? I'm sorry I wasted your valuable time. Actually, as long as I'm here talking to you, if you hear from Lulu, tell her I hope she's doing okay.

Lulu: See? Here I am, just as I promised.

Johnny: That's a relief.

Lulu: You didn't think I would bolt again, did you?

Johnny: Well, you didn't tell me you were going to bolt the first time.

Lulu: I hadn't promised I wouldn’t. Besides, it was an impulse, not premeditation. I wouldn't do it again, not without telling you first.

Johnny: Going to see your mother was quite a risk, Lulu.

Lulu: I know, but that should tell you how much I needed to. And it really helped. I -- I could finally hear myself talk, and I --

[Knock on door]

Male voice: Police. Open up.

[Knock on door]

Sam: All right. Looks good. Just start to unload. Thank you. Are you kidding me? You're following me now?

Lucky: There's been a lot of unauthorized activity in this area. So I need to see your captain's license and supporting documentation.

Sam: Fine. Lucky, come on. You know I am working undercover. I thought we agreed to meet only at the clinic.

Lucky: That's why I covered with papers.

Sam: What was so important it could not wait?

Lucky: Because I'm worried about you.

Sam: So -- Lucky, come on.

Lucky: You named Jerry Jacks as a potential suspect in this whole counterfeit drug ring.

Sam: So?

Lucky: "So"? So if that's true, this whole thing just jumped way --

Sam: You need to stop it. You are harassing me.

Spinelli: Okay, if you're here to manipulate Stone Cold with your lies and evasions --

Ric: Take -- take -- take it easy, kid. Does he have to be here?

Jason: Yeah. You're the one who doesn't belong here, Ric.

Ric: Oh, well, I could leave. But then you'd never hear my brilliant strategy.

Jason: I don't really care.

Ric: Okay. I came here under the impression that you cared about Lulu. My mistake.

Spinelli: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Perhaps it would be prudent to hear the lawyerly one out. I mean, he did mention a strategy.

Jason: All right, Ric. What do you got?

Ric: Well, lawyerly ones like to call it putting the victim on trial. I don't think it's going to be very hard to prove that Logan was the aggressor here. You know, the out of control war vet probably suffering from post-traumatic stress finally snaps, goes after Johnny for the girl in the middle. Unfortunately, Johnny had to kill him in self defense.

Spinelli: That's actually a pretty good idea.

Ric: Thank you.

Spinelli: Your skills as an attorney cannot be disputed, but your motives are suspect. Why would you wish to exonerate the prince of darkness when he is in fact your competition for the ear and control of evil Anthony?

Ric: Who cares what my motives are if I get the job done? Look, your sidekick here is a little kooky, but he's definitely one of the most brilliant hackers around. If anybody could find Johnny and Lulu, it's Spinelli. All I need for you to do is track them down, convince them to turn themselves in, and I'll take it from there.

Jason: I need to talk to Ric alone.

Spinelli: As you wish.

Jason: So, what -- what makes you think that I give a damn about Johnny and Lulu?

Ric: You're friends with Luke. Okay, put that aside. More pertinent reason is that you would be directly affected if Johnny and Lulu were to end up dead. You know if Johnny dies, Anthony's going to lose whatever tenuous grasp he has on sanity, Jason. All bets would be off. And Anthony Zacchara running amok would definitely upset the delicate balance that you are so desperately trying to maintain. You can't afford the unrest. You know, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I never would have thought Sonny would have betrayed you.

Claudia: I'm not a rat.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Claudia: After you told me about your involvement with Karpov, I decided to stay out of it, and I have.

Sonny: Then who told Jason? It wasn't Max or Diane. Sure as hell wasn't Karpov.

Claudia: This might be hard for you to understand, but I have more pressing things in my life right now than whatever business you're up to with Karpov. My brother's a fugitive, remember? Running from a murder rap with that spoiled little brat.

Sonny: Don't blame what happened on Lulu.

Claudia: You don't -- wait a -- I'm sorry. Can we just get something straight, please?

Sonny: It's Johnny most of the time.

Claudia: What are you going to threaten me about? What are you not going to threaten me about?

Kate: Now, what would Sonny have to threaten you about?

Carly: I haven't seen or heard from Lulu since your son dragged her off at gunpoint.

Anthony: And you haven't given it another thought.

Carly: I wouldn't say that, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Anthony: Well, you could be a little more worried, like you would be if Lulu were a real hostage. You and I both know she engineered that escape. Lulu is how Johnny got the gun. And in all honesty, I'm not real happy about that. My son would be a hell of a lot safer in lockup waiting for the attorneys to get him out as opposed to being a moving target for a bunch of trigger-happy cops.

Carly: There's nothing I can do about that, either.

Anthony: Well, I have a suggestion. Why don't you take a more proactive approach in bringing those two back home? It would be in your own best interest to do this, assuming you care about little cousin Lulu's quality of life, and that's assuming she's still breathing when all this is over.

Carly: Where are you going with this?

Anthony: I did some investigating. I tend to do that when a person gets too close to my son. I found a skeleton hanging in Lulu's closet -- her mother, the rocking head of cabbage.

Carly: You know what they say, takes one to know one.

Anthony: Well, that's exactly why I know what I'm talking about. I've had an intimate relationship with mental illness, and I know it can be hereditary. I suspect my daughter got some of mine. If Lulu hit the gene jackpot and she starts to crack, she's going to be an even bigger liability. She might even get my son killed. And trust me, Mrs. Jacks, that's something no one wants. It's to our mutual benefit to convince Lulu and Johnny to turn themselves in before that poor girl breaks like -- like cheap glass.

[Knocking on door]

Male voice: Open up or I'll kick it in.

Johnny: Thought so -- there's a squad car in the alley.

Lulu: What do we do?

Johnny: Go over the roof.

Lulu: No, no -- we have to give ourselves up.

Johnny: No.

Lulu: You have done all you can to protect me. We have to turn ourselves in.

Officer: Freeze it right there!

Sam: There are laws against stalking, you know. You are not immune to them just because you're a cop. I will have charges pressed against you, the same I would anyone else. Besides, you cannot harass your way back to me.

Lucky: I'm just checking your paperwork.

Sam: Fine. Check it and then get out.

Lucky: Be careful.

Sam: Don't come near me again.

Jason: There's no betrayal. Sonny took a job. That's it.

Ric: Come on, Jason. All right. You call it what you will, but as far as I can see, it's flat out betrayal. And it's in your face. Look, you know it, I know it, Sonny knows it, and Karpov knows it. Sonny basically turned around and he made a deal with somebody who's coming after your territory. That's what's happening, right? I mean, no matter what lies Sonny's fed to you.

Jason: I know what you're doing, Ric. I know what you're doing. You want me to retaliate. You want me to make a move against Sonny that isolates him, gets him mad enough to join you and the Zaccharas. It's not going to happen.

Ric: Think about what I said.

Claudia: If you have to ask why Sonny would threaten me, you don't know your fiancé very well.

Sonny: Before you get revved up, I will not allow you to disrespect my fiancée in my house.

Claudia: None intended.

Sonny: Okay.

Claudia: No, no, no. I was most respectfully pointing out that you've been in the mob a lot longer than you've been out of it, which means, you know, old habits die hard and old animosities still apply. So, I.E., a threat could erupt at any time. You better get prepared, sweetheart. Wishing something away doesn't make it disappear.

Kate: Oh, I don't know. You're leaving now, aren't you?

Claudia: Good one. Are we done?

Sonny: Yep.

Claudia: It's always a pleasure to see you.

Sonny: Great.

Kate: You know that woman's not on the wedding list.

Sonny: No, I know. She's just trying to make you uneasy.

Kate: Well, she's succeeded.

Sonny: What?

Kate: Sonny, I know that you love me. I know you would never sleep with Claudia again, but it makes me curious that she's here the day after that Jason was. Is there something going on? Are they trying to drag you back into the business?

Sonny: No. And if they were, it wouldn't matter. 'Cause what I want is the life that I'm planning with you.

Kate: God, I hope you mean that.

Tracy: Allow me to give you your marching orders, and I want you to follow them to the letter. Find Luke. Do not approach him. Call me. Tell me where he is, and I will deal with my husband. Do you understand? Good.

Alice: You think that's going to work? You know, the thing that's going to drive Mr. Luke into hiding is knowing you're looking for him.

Tracy: Hence the element of surprise.

Monica: Going to be a little tricky, isn't it, if he already knows he's being followed.

Edward: Does it ever occur to that man that he could check in here once in every blue moon? Somebody could have died.

Tracy: Namely, his daughter. If I could just get a hold of him and tell him how much danger Lulu's in --

Scott: Well, Tracy, why don't you tell me instead?

Monica: My God, for the second time, how did you get in here?

Scott: I will stop showing up when I get a straight answer out of you people.

Edward: At best, you're trespassing. And at worst, you're breaking and entering. We'll just let the cops straighten this out. Alice, call 911.

Scott: Be my guest, Alice. Tell them to send a couple of squad cars because unless you tell me where Lulu is, I will arrest all of you for aiding and abetting.

Johnny: Do you guys mind telling us what this is about?

Officer: Salvatore Del Torro. Know him?

Johnny: Yes. He lives in the building. I've seen him around.

Officer: Have you seen him lately?

Johnny: Not for awhile.

Lulu: No, no. What did he do?

Officer: He's a person of interest in connection with a gang shooting.

Johnny: I wish I could be of more help.

Officer: Hey. Whoa. Who are you?

Johnny: Easy. That's Penelope, our friend. We're from Chicago. We're not from this area. We don't know anything about gangs.

Officer: I'm going to need to see some I.D.'s here.

Voice on radio: Report to Fifth and Broadway immediately. Multi-car collision. Possible fatalities.

Officer: If Del Torro shows up, give me a call.

Johnny: Sure.

Lulu: That was close.

Johnny: Too close.

Lourdes: You totally just saved my life.

Kate: I'd like a word.

Claudia: [Sighs] I have had just about all I can stomach of you for one day. Since Sonny's not around to protect your delicate assets, I don't think so.

Kate: Claudia, I think I can handle you.

Claudia: Well, have at it, then.

Kate: Okay. So I realize that you are a predator, both sexually and the way that you troll for the mob. But trying to pull Sonny back into the business after what it's cost him, I mean, that's really low -- even for you. Don't you feel the least bit guilty about what happened to Michael?

Maxie: No, it's not too bad. Kate just wants to make a few changes. So do you think -- I'll email them over to you and just shoot the revised article back to me when you're finished, okay? All right. Thanks, bye. Spinelli, perfect timing. Kate's not here, so do with me what you wish.

Spinelli: Um -- seriously?

Maxie: Yeah. I can help you investigate Karpov at least till Kate gets back.

Spinelli: Oh, right.

Maxie: I was going to call you anyway because I remembered this article that I read in "Couture" magazine. I pulled it up. It's about how gangsters are, like, the new elite in Russia. And guess who's permanently featured?

Spinelli: Andrei Karpov?

Maxie: Yeah. There's a picture of him in there with a French model that I recognize, so I figured we -- well, maybe you -- could jackal all of her recent purchases.

Spinelli: Purchases?

Maxie: Shoes, jewelry, handbags, all the insanely expensive stuff. Maybe it will lead us to Karpov's bank accounts.

Spinelli: Oh. Yeah. Slightly convoluted, albeit fascinating information trail. But, you know, the Jackal's always grateful for Maximista's efforts, but he does fear that this particular case might prove too dangerous for her involvement.

Maxie: Well, if it's dangerous, that only proves that you need me more.

Carly: I just had a very interesting conversation with Anthony Zacchara.

Jason: Did he threaten you?

Carly: No. Why would he? Anthony's got no beef with me. I let him stay in my hotel, only so I could spy on him for you, but that didn't pan out so well.

Jason: Oh, you know what? Don't -- please don't spy on anybody. It's not going to help me.

Carly: Well, this time it did. I was nice to Anthony and he reciprocated. He reached out to me.

Jason: What?

Carly: He's worried about Johnny. He found out about Laura, and he's afraid history is going to repeat itself. That Lulu's going to crack under pressure and get Johnny killed. Are we any closer to finding them?

Jason: Spinelli -- Spinelli's been working on this thing since day one. We got nothing right now, Carly.

Carly: Well, at least they're good at staying out of sight.

Jason: Well, Johnny and Lulu are relatively safe. Cops don't have any leads, either.

Carly: What aren't you telling me?

Jason: Just -- it's business.

Carly: It's Karpov, isn't it?

Jason: No, it's Johnny. It's Johnny. If Johnny gets hurt, Anthony is going to lose it. Things are going to get ugly and that's going to give Karpov the opening he needs to make a move against me.

Carly: With Sonny's help.

Sonny: Anything I should know about?

Karpov: I'm landing two shipments.

Sonny: Right.

Karpov: The first is a cover. It can be landed in daylight. The one coming in tonight is crucial.

Sonny: Well, this is -- this is a secure location. There shouldn't be any problems.

Karpov: I'm very grateful to you for making the arrangements. My people are excellent but lacking experience when it comes to the particular challenges of Port Charles. Am I correct in assuming there will be no interference from Jason Morgan?

Sonny: None at all.

Monica: Look, Scott, as we explained the last time you barged in here, we have no idea where Lulu and Johnny are hiding.

Scott: Well, I think that she does. That's why she's so anxious to get a hold of her drunken husband.

Tracy: I miss the man I married. Are you going to arrest me for that?

Scott: Well, the man that you married, Tracy, is a freeloader, and so is his daughter. Why? Why the loyalty? He is taking advantage of you. All you people.

Edward: Now, I'm no fan of Luke’s –

Alice: But I am.

Edward: Well -- but -- but Lulu is a very lovely young girl. Course, she does have a propensity for making bad choices when it comes to the opposite sex, but --

Scott: Oh, come on, Edward. Open up your eyes. She is conning you. All right? She -- she might even be capitalizing on your grief for Emily.

Monica: Oh, no. No, Scott. Wait. You do not bring my daughter into this.

Scott: Lulu lied to Logan. She played Johnny and Logan against each other. And then Johnny killed my son.

Monica: Scott, listen to me. Nobody knows better than me what it is like to lose a child. I know what grief is about. I know that grief can turn into bitterness if there are regrets, if there are missed opportunities, what ifs. But I'm telling you that lashing out like this is not going to make it any easier. Believe me.

Anthony: Hello. How you doing?

Scott: Well, well, well. Look what just got wheeled in. So you're all in cahoots. What, are you trying to get Lulu and Johnny out of the country?

Anthony: For me, you couldn't be more wrong. Regretfully, I have no idea where my son is.

Scott: Yeah, well, then what other possible reason would you be doing here?

Anthony: I came to ask Tracy out on a date.

Scott: Well, now, I kind of find that hard to believe.

Tracy: But I don't care what you believe. And not that I owe you an explanation. I don't feel any obligation to be any more faithful to my husband than -- he is to me.

Scott: Well, no, Tracy -- as much as I know you hate your husband's womanizing, wouldn't it really be trading one old fool for just another old fool?

Anthony: There's no need to be insulting.

Scott: Yeah, there is, because this is all just a smoke screen. Nothing has changed. Your son is a fugitive and Lulu is an accomplice.

Tracy: Look, we get that that's what you think. Is there a larger issue?

Scott: Yeah, there is. Lulu and Johnny will get caught because we always catch them. And if they resist arrest, somebody might get shot. So if you have any contact with them, I suggest you tell them to turn themselves in.

Tracy: Would you wheel him out please?

Anthony: Are you sure you don't want to set up that date?

Tracy: I would rather die a long, slow, painful death.

Anthony: That could be arranged.

Tracy: Are you threatening me?

Anthony: I was just making a little joke. Are you always so touchy?

Tracy: For the second time, why is this man in my house?

Anthony: I wanted to make sure we all understand each other. Lulu is the reason my son is a fugitive. If any harm comes to him because of her, I'm going to tear this town apart brick by brick.

Johnny: The cops are gone; you can go back to your apartment.

Lourdes: You totally saved me and probably Sal, too. You turned out to be an amazing friend.

Johnny: Well, you've been a good friend to us, too.

Lourdes: And you don't have to worry. I won't tell anyone you're the infamous Johnny Zacchara.

Lulu: So, hero, tell me again how Lourdes' crush on you is not going to be a problem?

Johnny: It's okay, I can handle it.

Lulu: Really, because, um, my prediction is that once she finds out you're only into me, she's going to be trouble. You are only into me, right?

Johnny: It sounds like you need reassuring.

Lulu: Yeah, it couldn't hurt.

Johnny: Yeah.

Lulu: Yeah.

Johnny: Okay.

Claudia: You know, I could ask you the very same thing about Michael’s shooting. But then I already know the answer. Why should you feel bad? The bullet in that little boy's brain got you everything you wanted.

Kate: Excuse me?

Claudia: Oh, it did. It was the final break between Sonny and Carly. And Sonny's so messed up in the head now -- well, he's completely dependent on you. It's a great way to guilt him out of the mob.

Kate: Wow, you really are evil. To imply that I would actually skew the horrible tragedy that happened to his son for my own advantage?

Claudia: But that's what you've done. I mean, it's what you do every day, Kate. It's what you do every single day. And by the way, you're living in a fool's paradise. There's no way this fantasy can hold Sonny. He's still the same man he's always been. He's hooked on power, he's dangerous. He's borderline psycho, Kate, and he's drawn to his industry because he's really good at running it. It's where he feels confident, it's where he feels comfortable. And I'll tell you something, he is never going to be happy hiding from life behind you or some ridiculous career as a coffee merchant. I don't have to chase after Sonny or try to lure him back to the mob. Because he'll come back, all on his very own. Because it's who he is.

Kate: Mm, yeah, see, you're really good at this smoke and mirrors thing. But my particular strength is focus. So I haven't been distracted by you or what I came here for. And it's simple, okay, so you can probably understand it. Sonny loves me and we're getting married. Because ultimately that is the life he chose for himself, all right? Good.

Claudia: Mm.

Kate: Good, so there's no room for you and your trashy world. I want you to stay the hell away from Sonny. Enjoy your ice tea.

Claudia: Hey, can I get a vodka rocks, please?

Ric: Hello.

Claudia: You owe me big time.

Maxie: I don't really get why you don't want my help. Unless it's because we slept together. Are you having a delayed reaction? I mean, now we can't be friends because we had sex?

Spinelli: No, no -- look, the Jackal would never -- would never abandon Maximista. It's just that he's simply concerned. There is reason for --

Maxie: Spit it out, Spinelli.

Spinelli: Stone Cold will be most displeased that I've taken you into my confidence about the emergence of the Russian mob boss.

Maxie: I think that implies Jason doesn't think I'm trustworthy, and I'm offended.

Spinelli: No, I'm sorry, that was not the Jackal's intention.

Maxie: You just have to tell Jason that I'm in the loop. I mean, I'm helping you research this guy, and if he doesn't like it, too flippin' bad.

Spinelli: Not a phrase to be used when addressing Stone Cold, please?

Kate: Spinelli, out -- Maxie and I have work to do and I need her undivided attention.

Spinelli: Yes, the Jackal obeys.

Kate: My wedding has to go off without the smallest hitch or heads will roll.

Jason: Carly, I don't want you waving any red flags at Sonny. There's enough anger between you guys, and you know what? You promised me that you would not confront Sonny about Karpov, and I'm going to hold you to that.

Carly: I won't, I don't want to put any more pressure on you, okay? But I won't pretend that I'm not furious with Sonny. Because I can't believe he's doing this to you.

Jason: Everything's going to work out.

Carly: Who's taking care of you?

Jason: Come on, I don't need anyone to take care of me.

Carly: Yes, you do.

Jason: Look, everything's fine. Anthony's focused on finding Johnny, Karpov's still finding his way. There's nothing to worry about right now.

Carly: You're a terrible liar, which is one more reason I have to lie for you.

Jason: Carly.

Carly: Marty, hey, it's me. Could you do me a favor and check and see if there's an Andrei Karpov staying with us? Great, yeah. Send him a bottle of our best vodka with my compliments and ask him to meet me for a drink. Thank you.

Delivery man: I need you to sign off.

Sam: Sure. Can you give me a minute?

Delivery man: Sure.

Sam: Thanks.

Man: Leave it.

Johnny: You know, this making love is like an invitation for the cops to come back.

Lulu: Then let's give them an eyeful.

Johnny: All right.

Jason: Hey.

Spinelli: Whaaa!

Jason: You got anything?

Spinelli: Aaahh, I'm exploring a new, um, avenue of information gathering by way of, uh, Karpov's personal life. I may be able to utilize the purchase records of a girlfriend to, um -- as a starting point for information.

Jason: Okay, I don't know what the hell you just said, but if it works, just do it, okay?

Spinelli: Okay, I'll start the search. Hey, while we're waiting, um, it might be a good time for the grasshopper and his master to have a --

Jason: What is, what is -- stop right now. What is wrong with you, why are you twitching?

Spinelli: You know, we are indeed a good team. And I mean, yes, her thought patterns aren't necessarily linear and her ideas are often unconventional but her insights are useful, even inspiring at times --

Jason: Hey, hey -- what are you talking about?

Spinelli: Despite Stone Cold's instructions pertaining to anything privileged vis-à-vis anything related to mob activities or Karpov in particular --

Jason: This is about Maxie. What did you tell her?

Spinelli: Not much.

Jason: Spill it.

Spinelli: I may have alluded to the threat that Karpov poses.

Kate: So theoretically I have signed off on both dresses.

Maxie: Theoretically.

Kate: Yes, I realized last night that there is a problem with the fabric Federico wants to use. And when I told him about it, I got back artist attitude. Now you need to call him and tell him that he can either make the changes or he can sell the dress to someone else and I'll get another designer. You're hesitating, Maxie. Did you not understand the instructions?

Maxie: Do you maybe want to count to ten or something?

Kate: Excuse me?

Maxie: No offense, but you're just about to blow up on Federico for no reason. And you are the one who taught me to disregard the first conversation you have with talent about their work. Because their first reaction will be defensive. I mean, he probably perceived what you were saying as criticism. And he needs just a little bit of time to let it settle in before he can truly understand your point.

Kate: Well, I like that you listen when I try to teach you.

Maxie: Are you kidding, I'm sponge, your water. Anyway, Federico’s an ongoing important relationship for you. I just don't think now's the time to throw him an ultimatum.

Kate: Thank you, Maxie, you are right. In fact, I'm going to do you one better, I'm not going to deal with any of this right now. Because clearly I'm obsessing over dresses and wedding plans because they're dependable even when my groom is not.

Sonny: Why would you think I'm not dependable?

Claudia: You know, see, uh -- Jason confronted Sonny about Karpov. Didn't say who told him.

Ric: I can't imagine why Jason would want to protect me.

Claudia: He wasn't protecting you, he was protecting Sonny. He doesn't want things to get too confrontational. The point being, Sonny wants to know who pulled Jason's coat. I protected you, and I want you to consider it a sign of my goodwill.

Ric: Oh, I do. See, I always knew we'd be a good team. So in light of that, maybe we can start being more effective, huh?

Karpov: Mrs. Corinthos, I can't tell you how delighted I was to receive your invitation.

Sam: All right, well, thank you. And I will -- guess I'll see you next time, huh?

Delivery man: It's a pleasure.

Jerry: Such a busy little thing. What are you up to this time, Sweet Sam?

Maxie: I will have Clarice call Federico and feel out his mood.

Kate: Thank you, Maxie, I mean it.

Maxie: Glad I could help.

Sonny: Hey. Why -- what -- are you still upset because you found Claudia at my house? Because that's not, you shouldn't be upset about --

Kate: Sonny this is about me, okay? This is about me, terrified to be happy. This is about me afraid to accept that after all of these years I finally found my first love. After all of the loss and after all of the tragedy and all of the bad choices, that you and I still have the capacity to make a good one.

Sonny: Yeah. I believe that you're out of the mob, okay?

Sonny: Right.

Kate: I believe that we can have a good life together. And I want it, Sonny, I really -- [Groans] I want it -- look, if I just -- if I get crazy sometimes, those are the reasons why, okay?

Sonny: That's fine, that is fine, I understand that. But I just want us to be cool, that's all.

Kate: They're cool.

Sonny: All right.

Kate: We're cool, okay? We're cool.

Sonny: All right.

Kate: And in fact we're so cool, I'm going to prove it to you. I am going to leave Maxie here to take care of whatever comes up. And we're going to take that speedboat, the ride that you've been agitating for at the Riverfront Restaurant. Okay, let's go, let's go right now.

Sonny: What do you mean? I can't go right now. Not right now, I can’t.

Kate: Why can't we go right now?

Jason: I can't trust you if you're going to blab everything I have you do to Maxie. Did you forget her dad's a police commissioner?

Spinelli: Maximista would never betray my confidence.

Jason: She wouldn't have to do it on purpose, something could slip out. The cops would be crawling all over us. Even more important, if the wrong people realize that Maxie knows too much -- she's at risk, Spinelli.

Spinelli: I know, the Jackal knows that all Stone Cold says is true. And I've already resolved to distance myself from fair Maximista, but Stone Cold, it is so hard. Her flame, it draws this moth --

[Computer beeps]

Spinelli: Ooh, results.

Jason: What is it?

Spinelli: Information of a most dire nature. Uh, two of Karpov's female acquaintances have met violent ends. Most notably one who was -- well, having sex with him on a tenth floor balcony that plunged to her death. Karpov called it a tragic accident.

Carly: You're a little behind on your town gossip. I haven't been Mrs. Corinthos in over a year. I'm happily married to someone else.

Karpov: Oh, so happily. Otherwise, why are we here enjoying cocktails and each other's company, hmm?

Carly: I co-own this hotel.

Karpov: I doubt you give every guest such personal attention.

Carly: That's true, I do find you intriguing.

Karpov: The feeling is mutual. I'd like to know you better. But this is your place of business. Take a drive with me, mm-hmm? So we can be alone.
