Jax: Carly, come on.
Sonny: Jason. Jason, where are you? You got to come here now!
Jason: The shot came over from the choir loft. Can you show him where it is?
Mike: All right, all right. We need an ambulance now. There's been a shooting at St. Timothy's Church. Now!
Olivia: Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Sonny: I'm going to kill you!
Olivia: Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
[Knock on door]
Lucky: Sorry, we're a little early, but --
Elizabeth: That's okay, come on in.
Sam: Thank you.
Lucky: The boys ready?
Elizabeth: Are you kidding? Cameron is so excited.
Sam: Oh, I hope you don't mind. I have to leave my car around back because, you know, Lucky and I are still pretending to be broken up until we, of course, catch the bad guys.
Elizabeth: Yeah, that's -- that's fine. How's that all going?
Sam: Um, we're making progress. Not as much as I'd like, but --
Elizabeth: You know, it's unbelievable that people would actually steal medicine and then deliver fakes to the hospitals. I don't get it. But I'm really glad you guys are doing something to stop it.
Sam: Thank you. And we are going to catch the bad guys, right? In the meantime, I want to thank you so much. It really means a lot that you're letting us take the boys away for the weekend.
Elizabeth: Well, they're a part of his life and you're a part of his life. And I'm just really glad that he's found someone to make him happy.
Lucky: Thank you.
Elizabeth: And I hope you both can be happy for me, too, because while you're away at the mountains, I'm going to take a little trip, too. With Jason.
Alexis: I don't think there have been any other shots fired.
Diane: Either Jason has the situation under control, or that shooter is long gone.
Alexis: You're talking about this like this is the most natural thing in the world.
Diane: Oh, come on, honey. Did you really believe that Sonny would simply be able to walk away?
Alexis: He made Kate believe that he would.
Diane: Yeah, well, Kate should have gotten far away from Sonny the first time she got shot. I told her his pretty dimples were not worth dying for.
Alexis: I can't believe that this is happening. Why would he have a public ceremony if he didn't think that he could keep it safe?
Maxie: After killing Logan, seeing that could've really sent Lulu over the edge.
Spinelli: It's a shame. An event like this could've lifted her fragile spirits.
Maxie: I'm starting to think Lulu might be better off if we stop trying to help her.
Lulu: Oh, I'm fine, really. It just -- it happened so fast and there was so much blood. Why is there always so much blood?
Carly: Lulu, what happened is terrible. It's okay to be upset.
Johnny: I got to get you back now.
Alexis: Everyone needs to stay here until the police arrive.
Johnny: Yeah, well, Lulu can’t. Thanks.
Tracy: Excuse me; do you know where my step-daughter Lulu Spencer is?
Orderly: She should be in her room.
Tracy: Well, she's not.
Orderly: I'll alert the staff.
Tracy: Oh, good idea.
Ric: You know, you don't seem too surprised by any of this.
Claudia: Why -- why should I be? No one ever really retires from this business. I'm just wondering if the target was supposed to be Kate or if it was Sonny.
Alexis: What's the eta on the ambulance? Thank you. Everyone, can I have your attention for one minute? I'm Alexis Davis. I'm the district attorney. An ambulance and the police are on their way. If you could just do us a favor, please, and stay calm and stay in the area until the police have taken your statements. Thank you.
Carly: Hey. Thank you for looking out for me in there and taking care of me and keeping me safe.
Jax: Yeah, it's okay, yeah. When I heard the shot, all I could think that -- that you could be hit, like Michael was.
Alexis: How's Kate?
Mike: She's conscious, barely. Where the hell is the ambulance? Listen, does anyone here have any kind of medical training at all? Please, anyone? Carly. Carly.
Carly: I had one year of nursing school and I flunked out.
Mike: You're all we've got.
Sonny: It's okay.
Jason: Good, keep pressing down on the wound, firm.
Olivia: I'm hurting her.
Jason: You're saving her life.
Sonny: It's going to be okay. Hey, hey, listen to me. The ambulance is coming.
Jason: Is there an exit wound? Can you see something?
Olivia: I can't see. There's too much --
Jason: Sonny, you got to keep her head tilted back so her airway's clear.
Sonny: Like this? I don't know what you're telling me.
Jason: That's okay, right there.
Sonny: Right there?
Kate: My necklace, where --
Olivia: Honey, honey, stay focused. Connie, Connie, stay focused, damn it. Look at me. Look at me. Look.
Kate: You're so bossy.
Olivia: I know I'm bossy. Honey, I always said you were a prima Donna. I always said you couldn't hack it, okay? So you got to pull through this now. You got to pull through this or else you're going to prove me right. And I know you hate it when I'm right. Oh, God. Connie!
Sonny: Wait, wait, wait. No, no. Listen to me. No, it's okay.
Kate: I'm sorry --
Sonny: Stay with me.
Kate: I should've -- I should've told you all those years, I loved you.
Sonny: I know, I know, but we were just kids, you know? You had places to go, things to do.
Kate: That's not what I meant. I should have told you --
Olivia: No, honey -- Connie, shh, don't talk, honey. You got to save your strength. You shouldn't talk.
Mike: Where in the hell is that ambulance? It should've been here a long time ago.
Jason: You got anything?
Cody: I found a single rifle shell in the choir loft. Whoever it was had time to take a second shot and didn't take it.
Jason: They must've hit their target the first time. They meant to shoot Kate.
Claudia: Does it -- does it really shock you that your brother couldn't walk away from the mob like it was a bad dream? I mean, no one -- no one expected him to, except poor, deluded Kate. How many times does that woman have to get shot before she gets it?
Ric: I'm moved by your empathy.
Claudia: Well, I never really had any use for that woman. And Sonny will be better off.
Ric: You might want to keep that opinion to yourself or else you're going to sound like somebody who needs further questioning.
Spinelli: I must go aid those in peril.
Maxie: No, no, I'm sure Jason and Cody have it under control.
Spinelli: Stone Cold and his soldier of doom do not shirk from their manly duties and neither can the Jackal.
Maxie: You pulled me from the line of fire, maybe saved my life, and you call that shirking?
Spinelli: It was just -- it was just the reflexes kicking in. But now that I know you're safe, I must go put my skills to the test.
Maxie: What if I don't feel safe, okay? What if I don't want you to leave me because I don't want to be alone? God, Spinelli, we almost died. You can't leave me.
Spinelli: A Jackal's got to do what a Jackal's got to do.
Maxie: Well, then I'm going to go with you.
Olivia: Connie, stay with me, okay, honey? Stay with me. There's going to be help here real soon.
Kate: I don't hate you. I'm jealous of you.
Olivia: No, honey, you're the star. You always were.
Kate: You followed your heart. I should've done that, not wasted so much time.
Sonny: Hey, you have plenty -- you have plenty of time. You have all the time in the world.
Spinelli: What've we got?
Jason: Just this. I -- I want you to run a trace on it.
Spinelli: I think I already know the origin.
Jason: Now, don't jump to conclusions. We need to be sure.
Spinelli: Yeah, but the master, too, fears this bullet is Russian.
Lucky: After all we've gone through to keep Cameron and Jake safe, you're just going to throw it all away to get -- by getting back with Jason?
Elizabeth: But the boys aren't going to be with me.
Lucky: This time.
Elizabeth: Jason will never be a part of their lives.
Lucky: It explains why you're so suddenly agreeable for Sam and I to take the boys, so we'd kind of go along with this.
Elizabeth: No, no, no, no. He asked me after I already agreed. And I don't need you to go along with this any more than you need my approval to see Sam.
Lucky: The boys aren't in danger because of Sam.
Elizabeth: I'd be careful what you say --
Sam: Lucky --
Lucky: Listen, Sam had a lapse of judgment. Jason is a mobster. He chooses to live his life this way every day.
Elizabeth: You don't think we've already thought about this every day, suffered over it?
Lucky: Michael Corinthos is suffering. Do you want that to happen to Cameron or Jake or you?
Elizabeth: I'm not going to fight with you about this, Lucky.
Lucky: So what if I don't take the boys tonight?
Elizabeth: Well, that's certainly your choice.
Lucky: What are you going to do, call Audrey or Bobbie and then take off with Jason?
Elizabeth: I'm going to figure it out. I'll make arrangements. But you can't stop me from seeing Jason.
Sam: Lucky, she's right. You -- you can't stop her. She's a -- she's a grown woman. I'm sure that she understands the risks, and I have absolutely no doubt that Jason's going to be able to protect her.
Lucky: Yeah, I have my doubts, lots of them.
Sam: Guess what. Not your call, okay? So she was willing to meet us halfway and live with your choices, so I have a feeling you should probably do the same.
Jason: Hey, go out and wait with the other guests.
Spinelli: Yeah, that's a good idea.
Jason: No, both of you.
Spinelli: No, the grasshopper must stay and help protect Mr. Sir and his fallen bride-to-be.
Jason: I need you to I.D. that shell casing.
Maxie: Yeah, and if the cops show up and you're with Jason, it might look suspicious and probably stop you from helping him.
Jason: She's right.
Spinelli: Okay, the grasshopper obeys and will faithfully fulfill his appointed task.
Cody: You should check out the sight-line from that choir loft.
Jason: I'll check it out later. I want you -- I want you to take off, okay? When the cops get here, they find no shell casing, they're going to talk to the minister. He's going to tell them that he showed you the way to the choir loft.
Mike: Sonny, the ambulance is here.
Sonny: Do you hear that? Everything's going to be fine.
Kate: Not everything works out the way we want it to.
Sonny: No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. You can't leave me because -- hey, listen. We've been through so much in our lives. You know me in my soul. You're the first girl I ever loved. Listen, I will always love you.
Sonny: No, no, wait, wait, wait. Hey, the ambulance -- hurry, hurry, hurry. Listen -- listen to me, okay?
Sonny: Listen to me! I've lost you once -- I almost lost you once already. I'm not going to lose you again. We're going to have everything we want in our lives, okay? Everything we dreamed of, you understand?
Paramedic: Please, Mr. Corinthos, you need to step back. One, two, three.
Sonny: Hey, I'm her fiancé, so I'm going to –
Paramedic: Step back, please.
Sonny: I am stepping back. I'm going to -- I'm going to go in the ambulance, okay? I know who did this. Find proof.
Jason: I'm already working on it.
Alexis: Hey, hey, how is she?
Jax: Um, she was conscious until the paramedics arrived.
Diane: She is going to make it. She has everything to live for.
Jax: Hey, are you okay?
Carly: I knew this wedding was going to be a disaster, man, but not like this.
Jax: What are you talking about?
Carly: Kate's cousin, Olivia --
Carly: Sonny's friend who I was comping everything for at the hotel, from the old neighborhood -- Kate's neighborhood. Did you know that Kate's real name is Connie --
Jax: Connie Falconeri. Yes, I know.
Carly: Of course you do. Leave it to Kate to trust you with her deepest, darkest secret, so -- mm-hmm.
Claudia: That is exactly why people in our business should never get involved with civilians.
Ric: Because they're always targets of violence.
Claudia: Because they don't understand that it's part of the deal. It's like the money. It's like the fear in people's faces when they hear your last name. It's just part of your reality. You're always in danger. There are people that are willing to kill you. So if something like this happens, you know, you get angry. You grieve. Maybe you get revenge, but you're not surprised.
Ric: Yeah, well, I think Kate might have been surprised, Claudia. I don't think in the first few seconds that she thought that the stain on her dress was from her own blood.
Claudia: That's because she's a civilian, Ric, like Lulu's a civilian, like Johnny’s mother was a civilian. They don't understand. They don't know what it can be like, but Sonny does. And it's kind of sad that a man like that can be that naive.
Spinelli: Once again, the Jackal has been relegated to the lowly task of tech support.
Maxie: Why do you have to beat yourself down for being brilliant, Spinelli? Tech support is crucial.
Spinelli: Yeah, but it's neither brave nor manly.
Maxie: You were brave today. You saved me.
Mac: Spinelli, I want a minute with my daughter. This is why I don't want you associating with him.
Maxie: Dad, Spinelli was wonderful today.
Mac: Spinelli works for Jason and that puts you in the line of fire.
Maxie: We were at a wedding. Spinelli or anyone else didn't know that people were going to start shooting.
Mac: Maxie, the violence never stops, so eventually you will pay a price. It will take its toll one way or another.
Johnny: You're back with people who can take care of you.
Lulu: You can take care of me.
Johnny: Yeah, it was a mistake to sneak you out.
Lulu: You took me there to share in something happy and beautiful. The flowers and the candles and ate walking down the aisle, looking at Sonny as if nothing else existed --
Johnny: Yeah, Sonny -- a guy like that, he has enemies and I should've known something could have happened. I'm sorry.
Lulu: I'm okay.
Johnny: That dress can't be that comfortable right now. You should get --
Lulu: I love this dress. I love that you surprised me on the way, pulling up in front of the store and having everybody wait on me hand and foot like I was a princess. That is the happiest that I have been in a long time.
Johnny: Yeah, well, it didn't end too happy.
Lulu: Stop blaming yourself. I wanted to go. I just -- I wish it had ended differently. I was hoping I was going to get to dance with you again.
Tracy: This is bad on so many levels.
Mac: Did you happen to glance around, see or hear anything before the shot was fired?
Mike: My son was about to get married. I was looking at him and his bride.
Mac: You were Kate's maid of honor?
Olivia: I was completely focused on them. I didn't see anything.
Mac: If you were Kate's maid of honor, you were standing behind Kate, looking at Sonny. Could you see his face?
Mac: Did he look like he was expecting violence?
Mike: Sonny had no idea this was coming.
Mac: How do you know that?
Mike: Sonny loves Kate. He just turned his whole life around for her. He'd -- he would never put her in danger. This was a completely unprovoked attack.
Mac: Did Sonny look tense, nervous?
Olivia: He looked happy.
Jason: I don't want to make a move until we know for sure who did this.
Harper: You know, this almost never happens. You question witnesses to a crime and they all agree on something.
Bernie: You got a lead?
Harper: Definitely. And the thing they all agree on is you.
Elizabeth: Okay, I've got toothbrushes, hats, gloves, diapers, binkies -- all the good stuff, hand-held video games.
Lucky: Oh, we're not going to need those. We're going to be out enjoying the nature, aren't we?
Elizabeth: Extra batteries.
Sam: It is a long car ride.
Elizabeth: Come here, baby. Come give me a hug.
Sam: Go say bye.
Elizabeth: You be a good boy for Daddy and Sam, okay? Are you going to miss me? Are you sure? Give me kisses. I love you.
Cameron: I love you, too, Mommy.
Sam: All right.
Elizabeth: Okay, baby. Oh, come here. Give me --
Elizabeth: Give me kisses. You be a good boy, too, okay? All right, go on, you guys. Have fun.
Sam: You have fun, too.
Elizabeth: Bye, angel. Drive safely, okay?
Lucky: All right.
Elizabeth: Bye, guys.
Paramedic: She started to crash en route. We defibrillated and gave her the first round of epi.
Leyla: She's still in v-fib.
Monica: Okay, four units o-negative, amiodarone 300, push. Let's go.
Sonny: Okay, I'm going to --
Monica: Sonny, you stay where you are. We'll let you know when you can see her.
Mac: According to the other guests, you and your cousin had a pretty heated argument before the service. They could hear you in the church.
Olivia: It was just a stupid family fight.
Mac: I still need the details.
Olivia: She didn't want to wear her grandmother's necklace, this -- this necklace, because it clashed with the dress. It just seems so stupid now. Can I please go to the hospital?
Mac: Officer, escort Ms. Falconeri to General Hospital.
Scott: Wait a minute, Mac. Why are you letting her go?
Mac: I got her statement and she's the cousin of the victim.
Scott: Well, who else has left the scene of the crime?
Mac: Sonny went in the ambulance with the victim. A guard named Cody Paul left around the same time. And Johnny Zacchara took Lulu out of here about the time we arrived. She was pretty traumatized.
Scott: So what is my son's killer and his accomplice trying to get away with now?
Lulu: Johnny took me out for a little while. No harm done.
Tracy: You can't even muster a decent lie?
Johnny: I took her to Sonny and Kate's wedding, and Kate got shot right on the altar.
Lulu: Don't act like it's Johnny’s fault. It's not like he knew it was going to happen.
Tracy: Well, why don't you change out of that dress, and I'll talk to Johnny in the hall for a minute.
Lulu: Whatever she says, you did nothing wrong. I wanted to go.
Tracy: What the hell were you thinking?
Johnny: It was a mistake.
Tracy: Lulu can't afford mistakes like that. She's not here because she's a little depressed she didn't make the cheerleading squad. She's mentally ill.
Johnny: I know.
Tracy: Obviously, you don't know. And before you push her over the edge with your arrogance and your ignorance, there's somebody I want you to meet.
Jason: You know I have a permit for the gun.
Scott: That you just happen to be carrying to Sonny's wedding. Yeah, that's right. Dummy up as usual. You pull out a gun in the middle of a church here and put everybody in harm's way.
Alexis: So it's your wedding day. The last thing you'd expect, I guess, would be to get shot, right?
Diane: All because of a man. You give and you give, and they take and take. Of course, they do have some entertainment value.
Alexis: Until you get shot at.
Diane: Yes, that -- that is the deal-breaker.
Alexis: You know, I think she's just another one of the delusional. She thinks the love of a good woman is going to be able to save Sonny and get him to change his life.
Diane: I don't know. I don't know. I think it has some sort of deep psychological roots. There's some traumatic experience in her youth.
Alexis: Really? What makes you say that?
Diane: Because, if you and I could not get her to -- to -- walk away from this -- making this disastrous choice, you and I, who are -- who are smart, successful, we have the same tastes, the same ideals –
Bernie: Excuse me. Pardon me. Jason is in urgent need of legal assistance. The special prosecutor is leaning on him pretty hard.
Diane: Assuming we live through this night, let's go get drunk.
Alexis: I'll buy.
Diane: Fine. My client has nothing further to say.
Scott: Why? Does he have something to hide?
Harper: Is that why you're lawyering up?
Diane: Okay, what is this, bad cop/stupid cop?
Scott: All right, there. We just want to ask your client here a couple of questions.
Diane: Well, perhaps you should make better use of your time and read the constitution, or -- or maybe you need it on audio cassette.
Scott: You know what? We can take both of you downtown right now. How do you like that?
Elizabeth: Hi. They changed the gate on me and I just want to make sure I'm in the right place, flight 247?
Woman: To Rome?
Woman: You're in the right place.
Elizabeth: Oh, good.
Elizabeth: I'm just so excited. I've dreamed about this for such a long time, and now we're finally going.
Elizabeth: Boyfriend. But we haven't been able to get away like this ever, so -- do you think you could see if maybe he's checked in?
Woman: Yeah, what's the name?
Elizabeth: Jason Morgan.
Woman: Not yet, but we still have plenty of time before we start boarding.
Elizabeth: Okay. Well, I'm not worried. I know he'll be here.
Leyla: Mr. Corinthos, you can go in now.
Sonny: Why aren't you taking her to surgery?
Monica: Because her vitals are still dangerously low, Sonny. We can't operate until we get her stabilized.
Sonny: What are we looking at?
Monica: Kate is looking at a very complicated surgery performed by a neurosurgeon because the bullet is lodged against her spine. And I knew even before I saw the x-rays that it was a hollow-point bullet, the kind that inflict the maximum damage when they enter the victim. Of course, you know that. Well, of all the hundred things that could go wrong in this surgery, if one of them does, she could be left paralyzed for life.
Sonny: Do whatever it takes to save her.
Monica: How many times have you said that, Sonny? How many times have you told doctors to repair damage to someone who's just unlucky enough to be standing next to you?
Elizabeth: Finally. I was --
Woman: Would you care for some coffee or refreshments?
Elizabeth: No, I'm fine. Thank you.
Carly: After the shot was fired, Jax threw me down and was protecting me, so I don't really know what happened after that.
Jax: Is that all?
Harper: Yeah. If you think of anything else, you just give me a call.
Jax: Will do.
Claudia: I was just here to share in the joy.
Mac: Because you're such a fan of weddings.
Harper: Or shootings?
Claudia: Some marriages weren't meant to work, I guess, huh?
Mac: You know, it's strange that you and your brother, members of a rival mob family, would go to Sonny's wedding.
Ric: Look, Mac, Lulu Spencer is a good friend of Sonny's, not to mention Kate's assistant. John Zacchara was her date. Claudia came with me. I happen to be Sonny's brother.
Mac: Did Sonny mention maybe he was a target?
Ric: Mac, you know better than that. Sonny's not going to confide in me anything. Look, I'm sorry. I wish we could be more help, but if there's no further questions --
Mac: That's all for now.
Ric: Would you let me take you home?
Claudia: No, I have something I have to do.
Tracy: Meet Laura Spencer, Lulu's mother. Don't worry about making conversation. She doesn't speak. She doesn't move. She's like the living dead.
Johnny: How can you talk that way right in front of her?
Tracy: She has no idea that we're here. She does not receive or transmit. It started as a little mental breakdown brought on by the trauma of a murder. Does that sound familiar to you? And it progressed to psychomotor disassociation. Is that what you want for Lulu?
Johnny: You're trying to scare me into staying away from Lulu.
Tracy: That is exactly what is going to happen to her. It has already started.
Johnny: It doesn't have to be that way.
Tracy: Why, Johnny? Because she's too vital, too strong, too full of love? Johnny, it's like the -- the flaw in a gem stone. You don't even know it's there until it cracks in two. Let me tell you something. I love my stepdaughter. But even if I didn't, I would not wish that on anyone. How can you risk it?
Sonny: I'm so sorry. This should have never happened. And the fact that it did is on me, my -- my selfish need to have you love me. You got to live so you can have the life you deserve.
Olivia: How is she?
Sonny: The doctors, they just want to keep her stable, you know. So that way, they can bring her to surgery. The bullet's lodged against her -- her spine.
Olivia: I'd like to sit with her.
Sonny: The doctor said one at a time.
Olivia: I'd like to sit with Connie. And at this point, I am more family than you.
Lulu: Well, Johnny never came back to say good night, so whatever guilt trip you used on him must have worked.
Tracy: I'm delighted you're getting all snippy at me. It must mean you're getting better.
Lulu: I am. And when I get out of here, I'm going to live my life the way I want.
Tracy: First, you have to get well.
Lulu: You don't have to worry. I will follow the doctor's orders to get out of here.
Orderly: Dinner is served.
Lulu: Thank you.
Tracy: Well, I'll let you eat in peace. Look, Lulu, I really do want what's best for you.
Lulu: I know.
Tracy: Get some rest.
Lulu: Good night.
Marty: I heard about the shooting. I'm glad you're both safe.
Carly: I'm okay, thanks to Jax. Look, I -- I've got to change before I go home. I don't want Morgan to see me like this, okay?
Carly: What, uh -- Morgan, sweetie, what are you doing here?
Mercedes: Morgan was watching TV when they broke in with the news. When he heard it was Sonny's bride, he -- he thought it was you. He was afraid you had been shot, just like Michael.
Carly: Oh, I'm okay. I'm okay and Jax is okay. We're here, all right? We're not going to leave you. We're not going to leave you.
Woman's voice: Flight 247 to Rome is now ready to board. All first-class passengers should begin boarding now.
Claudia: I didn't take you for a stupid man.
Karpov: This is why you invited me here, to insult me?
Claudia: Sonny is not going to stop until you and all your people are dead, so you should head back to Russia tonight.
Karpov: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Claudia: There's a sick sort of genius to it, though, huh? He wouldn't take your deals, so you want to send a message so you had his bride shot --
Karpov: It was not me.
Claudia: On his wedding day?
Karpov: It was not me. I had nothing to do with this.
Olivia: I know why you were so mad at me, Connie. Because you thought I came here to tell Sonny, but I didn’t. I swear. I would never do that, okay? Sonny's never going to know. So all that you have to do to get everything that you ever wanted, all you have to do is just live through this, okay?
Jason: We found a shell casing before the cops showed up. I'm having it traced right now.
Sonny: You love being right. You said I'd never be able to walk away, that I really didn't want to. But the truth is, I really started a new life away from the violence, from the people that could harm me or anybody that I love.
Jason: I'm sorry, Sonny.
Sonny: Forget sorry. I want that bastard, Karpov, dead. I want you to send a message loud and clear. He doesn't go anywhere near me or mine.
Anthony: Looks like you caught me.
