Nikolas: How does it feel?
Nadine: A little strange.
Nikolas: Relax, relax your arm, okay? Your elbow.
Nadine: Okay, mm-hmm.
Nikolas: All right, try not to look at your feet.
Nikolas: And just follow me. I'll take you where you need to go, all right?
Nikolas: You got to feel the music pulsating through your veins.
Nadine: All right, I got it, I got it.
Nikolas: Now we're going to go around, all right?
Nikolas: Ready? One, two, three four -- oh, all right.
Nadine: You're even better than the Jackal.
Nikolas: You mean Spinelli?
Nadine: Yeah. I danced with him once. He was surprisingly rhythmic, actually.
Nikolas: Well, then, I'm quite flattered.
Nadine: You're doing a very good job of not making me feel like a total klutz.
Nadine: Oh, yeah, that was your toe, wasn't it?
Nikolas: Yep, that was my toe. That's all right, I got another one. Just relax, okay? We'll just stick with this, all right? We'll just stick with this.
Nikolas: All right, put your elbow up. Ready?
Kate: Oh, my God. This is bad.
Kate: You have to get salt. You have to -- salt. Hurry.
Sonny: Salt? For what? Get the blood out?
Kate: You're going to make me explain this to you now?
Sonny: Well, you should explain it --
Kate: You have to throw the salt, Sonny, all right? And then you have to spit. Just go. It's in the second cupboard on the right.
Sonny: Two specks of blood right here. That's all I got here.
Sonny: All right.
Kate: The salt is for throwing and you don't really have to spit, all right? You just have to pretend to spit so that you ward off the curse.
Sonny: What curse?
Kate: Blood on the wedding dress! It is the worst omen of all.
Lulu: No, you're dead! Stop torturing me! Go away! [Screams] No!
Maxie: Spinelli, don't you do this.
Spinelli: I am a master of stealth. It's okay.
Maxie: But you don't have to prove --
Maxie: [Screams] Spinelli! Spinelli!
Maxie: Spinelli? Oh, God, Spinelli. Come on, wake up. Spinelli? Oh, God. Are you okay, Spinelli? Come on, wake up, please. Spinelli.
Nikolas' voice: Nadine?
Nikolas: Nadine. What's wrong? Did I make you dizzy?
Kate: Sonny, what is taking you so long? Give it to me.
Kate: Uh -- okay, do it. Do it. Thank you. Okay.
Sonny: You -- come on, I'm not going to spit.
Kate: Yeah, you are going to spit. You're going to spit right now. Right now. Shoot.
Sonny: You see? What -- okay, you know what? Hopping around like that, you're going to fall and -- and break your face.
Kate: I have to hop in a full circle while chanting "faith and love" six times. Love and faith, love and faith.
Sonny: Oh, so I guess the salt wasn't enough for you?
Kate: Nonna Falconeri said I have to hop-chant whenever I felt the premonition of a disaster.
Sonny: All right, stop. Now stop because now you're making me nervous.
Kate: There is blood on one of my wedding dresses, a wedding dress that you were never supposed to see. I am facing multiple curses here, all right? One cannot be too safe.
Sonny: You want to break a curse? I got a way to break a curse.
Lulu: Leave me alone!
Johnny: Lulu, look at me, please. Okay, will you take my hand, huh? Come here. I know you saw Logan again, but he's gone. Okay, it's just the two of us. We're safe. You're safe now.
Lucky: You need to stay the hell away from her. You understand me, boy?
Lulu: This is not happening. This is not happening. I want to go back. I want to go back. I want to go back. I want to go back.
Sam: Hi, Lucky, it's me. I know I said I turned down that chance to work tonight, but I actually thought I would keep an eye out on things anyway because something big is about to happen. I can feel it. I am right now on Pier 52. Karpov is supposed to be unloading a shipment or something -- I'll call you back.
Karpov: [Speaking Russian]
Jerry: [Speaking Russian]
Karpov: [Speaking Russian]
Jerry: [Speaking Russian]
Maxie: Don't worry, Spinelli. I'm getting you help, okay? What's wrong with you people? I called for an ambulance five minutes ago. No, we're right by the hospital. It shouldn't be taking you this long. My friend could be dying.
Maxie: Hold on. Are you okay?
Spinelli: I feel like I was hit by a truck.
Maxie: It was a car, but don't move, okay? Do you hear those ambulances? Those ambulances better be for us. Behind the warehouse, Water Street and Third. Okay, they're -- they're here, okay? Just stay still and don't -- don't move. It's okay. Oh, God. Thank God. Paramedic: Is this the hit-and-run?
Maxie: Yeah, he went over the hood of the car, but he was talking to me two seconds ago. Spinelli!
Paramedic: Is it Spinelli? Is it Spinelli?
Maxie: Spinelli, come on. Yeah.
Paramedic: Does he have any prior medical history, allergies or anything?
Maxie: No, no, not that I know of. He's not that strong, but he's brilliant and really intelligent. I'm just afraid if he hit his head –
Paramedic: You need to get back, Miss, okay?
Maxie: Please, you have to save my friend, okay? Please!
Kate: This is exactly the kind of behavior that got us into this predicament.
Sonny: What predicament? Stop being silly. Come here just for -- just come here for a second.
Kate: It's really a shame, you know?
Kate: I liked this dress and now Federico is just going to have to make me a new one.
Sonny: So you're going to trash this beautiful dress that looks so beautiful on you because there's a speck of blood?
Sonny: We did the salt thing. We did the spit thing. If you want to bunny hop, you can lean on me. Let's banish this curse right now.
Kate: And now you're making fun of me.
Sonny: I'm not -- wouldn't you, honestly?
Kate: It doesn't really matter, right? Because I can't wear this dress anyway. I can't wear it to the reception. I'll be looking over my shoulder the whole time, seeing if the roof is caving in. Why don't we just bring some black cats, some ladders? You know, cats, they get a bad rap in that. But it doesn't matter. We could just make the wedding date on Friday the 13th. How's that?
Sonny: I want this dress. I love this dress. I love you in it. And when we have our first dance as husband and wife, I want you wearing this dress.
Kate: Okay, I -- oh, my goodness.
Kate: I'd hoped you'd approve, but I didn't think you'd be so attached.
Sonny: Well, I can't explain it. The dress speaks to me. Can I show you?
Kate: I don't know.
Sonny: Come here. Let me see this. It's a beautiful dress. I love it. Can you move that, please? All right?
Kate: Okay, just -- I'm going to consider it.
Kate: But if there is the remote chance of me ever putting this dress on for any reason at all, you have to stop kissing me while I'm in it.
Sonny: Yeah, I can live with that. Come over here for a second. How you doing? Oh, that's nice.
Matt: Nurse Mir, I couldn't help but notice your reaction to something I said earlier.
Leyla: Oh, really? What was that?
Matt: It's just when I mentioned that Patrick would probably be cheating on Robin with the first nurse that he came across, you got this look on your face.
Leyla: You're either incredibly insensitive or you have no clue. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the latter. The last nurse that Patrick had an affair with was me.
Leyla: 10th floor, Nurse Mir. They're bringing up a patient from E.R. hit-and-run, drifting in and out of consciousness, possible internal injury.
Leyla: Is he responsive? To painful stimuli. Patient's name? As in Damien Spinelli?
Matt: What are his vitals?
Maxie: Oh, hell no. There is no way that I'm entrusting my friend's life to some careless, egotistical jerk. Spinelli.
Nadine: You don't have to take care of me.
Nikolas: Here, drink, drink.
Nadine: But --
Nikolas: Drink it.
Nadine: All right.
Nikolas: I'm really sorry about that.
Nikolas: Yeah, I should have remembered, all that spinning can make you dizzy if you're not used to waltzing.
Nadine: It wasn't dizzy, exactly. It was more exhilarated. Once I relaxed, like you said, it was almost like flying.
Nikolas: You're a good partner, very -- very light in the arms.
Nadine: Hmm. Well, in that case, maybe we could give it another try?
Nikolas: Really? You sure?
Nadine: Very sure, unless you can't bear the thought of dragging me around the dance floor once again.
Nikolas: I'd be delighted.
Nikolas: Come on.
Nadine: Technically, I'm still on call, and that's Spinelli in the O.R. with a hit-and-run, so I got to go.
Nikolas: Yeah, okay. Can I give you -- give you a ride there? I'd be happy to give you --
Nadine: Thank you so much.
Nikolas: You're welcome.
Nadine: It was amazing, just amazing. I got to go.
Nikolas: Are you sure you don't want –
Alexis: Perhaps you didn't hear me when I said this before that crime doesn't just stop in Port Charles because Logan Hayes is murdered and Zacchara is arrested. You know, there's -- there's ordinary victims here that don't have the same luxury as other people who, like Baldwin, call in their special favors for you --
[Knock on door]
Alexis: To send the trials through willy nilly. Just a second. I'll call you later. Yes, yes.
Alexis: Yes! Come in. Hi.
Jerry: Hello, darling. Have I ever mentioned how much joy it brings me when you make time in your busy schedule for me?
Alexis: Okay, listen, don't get ahead of yourself because whatever you want to do, we're going to have to do it in literally two seconds because I don't have time --
Jerry: Oh, come on. Balderdash. You have to eat, don't you?
Alexis: "Balderdash"? No, I don't have to eat. I need this, though, because I have to check the dates to set up a deposition. I have to send in an evidence log. I have to call Molly --
Jerry: Yes, yes, yes, spare me the litany of tasks. You know, you told me already when you peppered me with your busy schedule. You know, your voice betrays you as well.
Alexis: I don't even know what that means.
Jerry: It means that not only would you love to spend some time with me, but you're famished. You've been eyeing this since I walked in, and you're dying to know what's inside. So I'm going to give you a little peek. You want to take a peek? Yes?
Alexis: Okay. Oh.
Jerry: You see? I brought you your favorites.
Alexis: You did, didn't you?
Jerry: Yes, my darling. You see, my only mission in life is to make sure your body gets everything it needs.
Lucky: Lulu? Can you hear me? It's me, Lucky. Hey, I need you to focus. Just -- you know what, why don't I get you out of here. We can -- let's go somewhere quieter. We can get a drink. We can talk and we can try to figure this out.
Lulu: Wait a minute, wait a minute.
Lucky: You all right?
Lulu: What about Johnny? I don't want to leave him. I don't want to leave.
Lucky: I know, but it's time. We have to go.
Lulu: No, no, no, but we don't have a lot of time left. I need to see him.
Lucky: No, no.
Lulu: No, no, you're not listening to me. No, wait! Johnny, no! Why are you doing this?
Claudia: Hey, don't watch. Come on, there's nothing you can do for her. It's just going to make it harder on you.
Scott: Well, that was quite a performance, but it's not going to keep Lulu off the witness stand. Get off of me, you --
Claudia: John, don't! Come on, don't, don't, don’t.
Nadine: I just heard about Spinelli. How's he doing?
Leyla: He's pretty banged up, but stable. Dr. Hunter is ordering a battery of tests.
Nadine: Oh, Matt Hunter is his attending?
Nadine: Okay, maybe I should intervene.
Nadine: I don't know, go warn Patrick Drake?
Leyla: Dr. Hunter might be an arrogant jerk, but professionally speaking, he's very competent. I don't think Spinelli has much of a choice right now. Patrick left an hour ago and Hunter's the best physician in the building tonight.
Nadine: Yeah, nothing says care and compassion like a doctor who steals medication and switches it with placebos.
Leyla: How much evidence do you actually have against Hunter? Because if you're right, he shouldn't be anywhere near Spinelli.
Matt: Okay, so I need a cat scan. Make that a C.D.C., a D.I.C., a B.M.P., liver panels, amylase, lipase. In the meantime, I want to get him on a hydromorphone drip for the pain, 2 milligrams, B.P.Q. 15, and keep an eye on the abdominal bleeding.
Maxie: Wait, wait -- you order a couple of tests, throw in a fancy drug and then leave Spinelli to suffer? What kind of pathetic excuse for a doctor are you?
Matt: Okay, really, you have to make up your mind. You don't want me treating Spinelli. Now I'm doing too much. And really, it doesn't matter because you're not related to him, blood or by marriage.
Maxie: Maybe not, but Spinelli is my best friend in the entire world and I will not let anything happen to him.
Alexis: I couldn't possibly.
Jerry: Oh, come on. A sip or a bottle won't hurt.
Alexis: Just one glass because I owe the citizens of Port Charles due diligence and I still have all night to work.
Jerry: You see, that's why God created Assistant D.A.s, so Madame Boss has her minions delegate the clutter on her desk, thereby freeing her to indulge in what truly is her absolute passion.
Alexis: You're a very bad influence, you know that?
Jerry: And I haven't even started, darling.
Sam: Uh, sorry. I -- I guess I caught you at a bad time. Then again, maybe there's no time like the present.
Sonny: You know what? If we're cursed, bring it on because that was amazing.
Sonny: Yeah, well?
Kate: Well, I agree. But can you do me a favor?
Kate: Can you please not invite curses?
Sonny: Are you -- you're serious about this curse thing?
Kate: It's hard not to be with my heritage. Sonny, do you remember how many people were superstitious when we grew up?
Sonny: Like Moose Minucci's Uncle Dino when he used to sweep out his toy store?
Kate: Yes, exactly, always with a dustpan. He'd never push the dirt out the door because he didn't want to push –
Sonny and Kate: Out the luck.
Sonny: You know, remember -- I don't know if you know the Cerullos. They would never say the name of an illness out loud. They would always whisper.
Kate: Well, if you say it out loud, it makes it so. But, you know, Nonna Falconeri, she was the worst. The worst. She had tons of superstitions. She had this mirror in her front room, apparently. It came with us when the family came from Sicily. You know, it was her lucky looking glass. So anyway, one day, my cousin Olivia and I, we were playing Snow White. And before I could stop her, Olivia took the mirror off of the wall, you know, to see who was the fairest of them all, and it fell and broke.
Sonny: What's wrong?
Scott: See, now, that's what I was saying. Your brother's a threat to everybody in this department, especially to me. So I'm sending him out to Pentonville where he can cool down until his trial.
Claudia: You try it and you will find out firsthand what the Zaccharas mean by retaliation.
Scott: What is he going to do, put a horse head in my bed? If I was you, I would focus on saying goodbye to your brother.
Claudia: Every time I think it can't possibly get any worse, you find a way to make it worse.
Johnny: I know. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have grabbed him like that.
Claudia: John, you think? What -- what happened? I mean, why was Lulu freaking out? What was she screaming about?
Johnny: She's having a hard time getting over Logan’s death.
Claudia: Well --
Johnny: She sees things sometimes, all right? Visions.
Claudia: Yeah, Nikolas told me about that. Yeah, but hearing about it and seeing it are two completely different things. Obviously, she's not faking. I'm a believer.
Johnny: Thank you for actually acknowledging that.
Claudia: Right, but the question is why. Why, Johnny? Why is she so haunted, huh? What really happened the night that Logan died?
Lainey: Lulu, we're not going to pressure you. If you want to talk about what happened, great. If you don't feel like it, that's fine, too.
Lucky: Lulu, if Dr. Winters is going to help, she should know. Do you want me to tell her?
Lucky: Jason Morgan thought it was a good idea -- thought it was a good idea to tell a member of your staff that he was her brother and then take her down to the PCPD.
Lainey: To see Johnny.
Lucky: Yeah. Well, she was in the interrogation room with him and then she just started screaming. I'm not sure what set her off. I wasn't in the room, but I did hear her say that, "you're dead, stop torturing me." It was like she was seeing Logan again. I just think it might be a good idea if you can just talk to her about what happened the night Logan died.
Lainey: I understand you want to help your sister, but Lulu needs to find her own way in her own time. There's no need to hurry. Lulu can talk about the night of Logan’s death when she's ready.
Lulu: There is nothing to talk about. Logan showed up at Crimson. He wanted me back. I turned him away. He left and he was killed, and it's not Johnny's fault, no Matter what you believe.
Lucky: Lulu, I don't want to upset you. I'm just -- I'm just trying to help.
Lulu: Well, if you really mean that, you wouldn't have taken me away from Johnny. I told you that I wanted to stay.
Lucky: Lulu, I was just afraid.
Lulu: No, just stop touching me! Leave me alone.
Lainey: Why don't I walk you out? Lulu, get some rest. I’ll check on you later.
Lucky: She's getting worse, isn't she?
Lainey: I'm afraid so.
Johnny: You know what happened.
Johnny: I killed Logan. And right afterwards, Lulu walked in and saw him laying dead on the floor, knife sticking out of his belly. It's no wonder she hasn't been able to shake that image.
Claudia: Well, hey, you know, a dead guy with a knife sticking out of his belly -- that's a hard image to shake, but it's not enough to make you go crazy.
Johnny: Not you, Claudia. Maybe not me. We grew up with violence our whole lives. It surrounded us. Lulu's different. She --
Claudia: You just -- you always have an excuse for her, always, John.
Trevor: What the hell is happening in here? All of a sudden, Baldwin is emergency petitioning to have you transferred to Pentonville?
Claudia: Hey, you know what? You better get it fixed. You better take care of it, Trev.
Trevor: Well, I don't think I can.
Claudia: Well, then we need a better lawyer. How do I call Ric?
Alexis: That was cryptic. Is there something that you want to tell me?
Jerry: Yes, Sam, please enlighten us.
Sam: Oh, I'm -- I'm sorry. I just can't wrap my head around you voluntarily spending time with this man. Look, I was just in the neighborhood, and I wanted to talk. I guess I'll catch up with you later.
Alexis: Oh, Sam, Sam, don't -- go. Did I miss something?
Jerry: Such as?
Alexis: Is there something going on between you and Sam?
Jerry: No, not really. Your daughter doesn't trust me, which I don't blame her for. I mean, I haven't given her reason to. I just have to resign myself to the fact that, you know, some relationships will always be denied to me. I can live with that as long as other desirable doors are left open.
Alexis: As lovely as this is, you have to go, and I have work to do.
Jerry: Oh, come on. I mean, consider me a restorative nap, right? Come on.
Alexis: Seriously, you have to go.
Jerry: All right, darling, if you insist. Do you want me to leave the food?
Alexis: Mm-hmm, I would appreciate that, thank you.
Jerry: Okay, well, I can't guarantee you I won't be back. Bye.
Sonny: You all right?
Kate: Oh. Sorry, I just -- sometimes it hits me how much I miss my grandmother.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, I know the feeling. What about the -- Olivia and the broken mirror?
Kate: Nothing, it just -- it just explains how superstitious I am. That's all. You'll have to understand, Olivia and I were just little girls. Adults were all-knowing. When Nonna walked in and saw that broken mirror, she shrieked. She made us count every single shard of glass. There were 28 of them. We had to tie 28 bows of white ribbon around every mirror in the house. I just -- I haven't thought about that in a long time.
Sonny: Have you been in touch with Olivia?
Kate: No, I don't think I've talked to her since I was junior editor of "Couture." I think that was the last time I went home. Well, there was that time you took me back.
Sonny: But you guys were great friends as kids, and --
Kate: No, not really. Actually, we were -- we were pretty competitive.
Kate: Olivia was a rebel, and I was the good girl. She thought that I didn't know how to live, said that I never would, said that I was humorless, said that I would never, ever catch a man.
Kate: I could -- I could go on. It really doesn't matter. If she could see me right now, I am about to marry the wildest, handsomest guy in the neighborhood.
Spinelli: You may notify Stone Cold of my battle with destiny, but please don't worry my sweet granny.
Maxie: Does something hurt?
Spinelli: The Jackal notices pain only to laugh in its face.
Maxie: Okay, I'm going to get you a doctor, a real one, okay?
Spinelli: No, no, no, no, please don't leave. The life-saving ones will return soon enough to poke and prod me, but please stay with me.
Maxie: Okay, don't -- don't worry, Spinelli. Wild horses couldn't drag me away. It really scared me earlier when you were lying in that alley, pale and still. Not to be morbid, but people I love have this nasty habit of dying, and I just don't think I could take it if it happened to you.
Spinelli: Well, there's no need for a furrowed brow. The Jackal won't leave this earthly plain as long as his fair Maximista still resides here, too.
Maxie: You're so sweet.
Elizabeth: So as far as I can tell, Dr. Hunter's doing an excellent job with Spinelli. Why all the questions?
Matt: Come with me. I got Mr. Spinelli's test results.
Maxie: What are you doing back here?
Matt: Mr. Spinelli, your spleen has ruptured. It'll have to come out. I need your consent to operate.
Nadine: Don't do it, Spinelli.
Trevor: Richard can't help your defense because he's not here, and if he were, he would muck up the process anyway. So, like it or not, you are stuck with me.
Claudia: I don't like it. You are not the one who figured out how to get my father released. Ric is, right? Ric is the former district attorney who happens to wield considerable power over the current district attorney by virtue of the fact that they have a child together, so Ric in charge of my brother's defense -- hmm, that works for me.
Johnny: My sister's got a point. You want to really help, Trev? Give old Ricky a call.
Trevor: [Laughing] Are you two living in a bubble? Richard doesn't give a damn about you or your defense, and you know why? He knew that you were in trouble, and what did he do? He gathered up little Molly, and he split the light fantastic out of town on a father-daughter vacation, and he hasn't been heard from since, huh? And you can't even reach him in his cell phone, so I am going to defend you by myself.
Lulu: Mom, I'm really scared. It's just happening so much quicker now, and seeing Logan every day, sometimes more than once a day, I just -- I can't help myself. I start screaming, and then there are times that I feel like I'm not going to stop. I feel like whatever is grounding me in the real world is stretched tight like a rubber band all the way to its limit. It would just be so easy, so quick, to snap it all the way, and then where would I be? Would I be where you are right now? Am I going to be in a hell of my own making?
Lulu: God. I wish you were here. I wish I just had somebody who could understand.
Kate: You're not going to stay?
Sonny: I'd love to, but, you know -- no offense -- I'm starving. You never have good food in the house.
Kate: Well, maybe I'm changing.
Kate: Maybe my new life as a newly engaged woman is releasing my inner domestic goddess.
Sonny: Well, yeah, as far as the goddess, I believe that, but all the other stuff, I don't know, you know?
Kate: I'm going to make you eat those smug words, along with the delicious snack I'm about to prepare with my own two hands.
Sonny: Oh, please, you're kidding me.
Kate: Oh, no, you sit tight. You prepare to be impressed.
Sonny: Oh, okay. I am impressed.
Kate: Don't --
Sonny: You are in charge.
Sonny: Yeah, could I have Bensonhurst, Gloria Cerullo?
Sonny: Hi, Mrs. Cerullo. It's Sonny. Michael Corinthos, yeah. How you doing? Listen, how you been? And how's Lois? Some things never change. That's kind of the reason I'm calling. Listen, I need to ask you a big favor.
Nadine: Let me page Dr. Drake. Either one, or Dr. Behar or anyone else on staff tonight, because spleen removal is a very common procedure. You don't need a specialist. In fact, any one of us nurses could probably do it, so just pick an option, any option, just not Dr. Hunter.
Matt: Nurse Crowell, really, that is more than enough. Come over here, please, for a second. Your paranoia has stepped over the line. Don't you dare ever question my professionalism in front of a patient. Now, despite Nurse Crowell’s opinion, I'm a highly qualified surgeon, certainly the best that's wandering the halls here tonight. Dr. Drake is off duty, and Behar is on a cruise, so I am the best shot that you've got.
Maxie: Well, what would happen if we waited until Patrick was back?
Matt: No, Mr. Spinelli needs this operation now, unless you feel lucky enough to risk serious complications.
Maxie: Elizabeth, I obviously don't trust this guy, and I don't know these other nurses very well. I know you and I have had issues, but you're an honorable person, and you wouldn't lie about a patient. Is he right? Would it hurt Spinelli if we wait?
Elizabeth: He's bleeding internally and in a lot of pain. You'll be putting him at risk if you wait. And if it helps, I've seen him in the O.R, and he's a pretty good surgeon. You know, we should do the procedure now.
Matt: Okay, so, this is ridiculous. I'm going to scrub.
Maxie: Oh, well, Spinelli didn't give you his consent yet. Spinelli, what do you want to do?
Spinelli: Well, the Jackal's cognitive skills are a bit blurred due to, well, being hit by a car, but he trusts fair Maximista to make the right choice. My life is happily resting in your lovely hands.
Alexis: Well, what do we have here?
Claudia: I can explain.
Alexis: No need. It's clearly breaking and entering and evidence tampering, and I'm going to love every minute of having you arrested for it.
Lulu: I saw Johnny today. And, for a split second, while I was holding his hand and I was listening to him tell me that everything was going to be okay, I believed him. For one beautiful moment, I could see it -- our future, being happy. And then Logan came. He wants me to pay, and he's not going to stop until I lose my mind. He's going to get what he always wants. He's going to win.
Laura: Lulu, it's going to be all right.
Laura: Mama's here.
