General Rules

All users must follow the rules stated below. Failure to do so will result in a few warnings, then a ban. After the ban people are free to make a new account, and have one more chance, but if they break more rules, they'll be IP banned and won't be allowed back on the forums.

Stay On Topic
All posts must be on topic. While we want people to enjoy posting on the forums, off topic posts ruin it for everyone. If there's a topic about photoshop in graphics, do not change it into a discussion about your favorite farm animal, etc. All members must follow this rule, except in the Spam Board.

No Flaming
Flaming is the term given to 'cyber-dissing' someone. This is not allowed on the main forums, however is acceptable in Rants And Raves. Please take everything in R+R lightly and don't get too offended, but people can literally say whatever they want in there. Constant flaming in normal forums will result in a ban.

No Spamming
Members are not allowed to spam the forums. This basically means making lots of pointless, repetitive posts for no reason but to be an annoyance. The Spam Board is the only acceptable place for this kind of thing to happen.

No Private Message Harassment
A problem on the old forums was people using the private message feature to flame or annoy people. This is not allowed and will be punished. Even if you're a good user on the boards, if you break the same rules when PMing someone, you'll face the same punishment.

No Posting Of Inappropriate Content
Inappropriate content is links or images which should not be viewed by people under the age of 18. Obviously some stuff is allowed to be posted, such as links to disturbing sites, however no pornographic images, or disturbing images are allowed to be posted on the forum. Links to sites is allowed, however a clear warning must be given in the topic title / description.

Posting Media In The Media Forum
All posters are responsible for the content of their posts. Vortex Designs and it's administrators are not responsible for any material posted unless stated otherwise. If anyone has a problem with the content that has been posted, they should contact an admin, however it is up to the poster to ensure they are not breaking the law.

Signature & Avatar Rules

A lot of people use signatures and avatars as a way of showing their personality on the forums, and we allow the use of them, however there are a few rules to consider before getting a signature.

Max Signature Sizes
All signatures must be no more than 500 pixels wide and 500 pixels high. Any sigs breaching those rules will be removed. Max file size for sigs is 150kb.

Max Avatar Sizes
All avatars must be no bigger than 100x100 pixels and be no more than 100kb in size.
