Denver is only 1 hr away from me and this is the storm thats headed my way .. however cause we arent the "high country" we wont get near that much.

A major early season cold front has prompted warnings of heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions in parts of Wyoming and Colorado.

Winter storm warnings are in effect throughout much of Colorado today. The National Weather Service says the Denver area could get between 10 and 18 inches of snow before the storm moves out tomorrow. Parts of the foothills and the Front Range mountains could get up to 4 feet of snow and 1 to 2 feet are expected in the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado.

United Airlines and Frontier Airlines are relaxing some fees for changing travel plans in light of the storm forecast.

Winter storm warnings are also posted for southeast Wyoming. Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne is shut down because of the weather and multiple accidents.

OH wow! My dad just came back home from Colorado! He was on his way making a delivery when he had a problem with his truck! He had been driving a big truck with his pickup truck being towed behind it (he does this all the time), well he was going down a VERY steep mountain going West Bound and the hitch broke OFF messing up his pickup truck some from the jolt to the ground... he was lucky enough that he was able to go to the side of the road where there was a large enough pull out opening and just as he pulled off the hitch had fallen off completely with his truck on the trailer pulling it. Thankfully it didn't go into traffic and cause a huge wreck, imagine that! He was able to get the truck towed. But the tow truck driver was an idiot... he was towing dads pickup and dad was driving the truck he had to deliver... the tow truck driver told him to follow him, dad figures ok, that's easy enough, well he LOST the tow truck driver... the guy took off in traffic, it was DARK and dad couldn't keep up with him in that traffic... kept calling Chevron back and forth to try to find the tow truck driver. Finally he was able to get to the place where the guy was... what an idiot he was... Dad was telling us all about it last night, LOL. Sondra's bff Amber and her hubby Dave came and picked my dad up the next morning and took him back to their place in Craig, CO so that he would have a place to sleep for the next few days and also be able to get the truck worked on Amber's hubby Dave works on vehicles a lot and so does my dad. So thankfully dad was able to get back home safely

Yeah, I remember our family traveling to Denver 1 year for a little family getaway. Our family was going through a rough time, so mom and dad decided we should all get away from the home life, they took us to Denver, there was a pastor there that we talked with for awhile, who helped us through some issues. Then later as a family we went Cross Country Skiing, I'd never been and had a blast!

I think the highway dad was on the other day over that way was on I-70 West bound. Not completely sure if that was the one or not though.

OH yeah when dad called to get the truck towed, the guy didn't even ask for any info just said yeah I'll come get you. Well, he didn't even KNOW where dad was, so actually almost passed him and almost caused an accident.... he was traveling at such a high speed... that when he slowed down the car behind him almost ended up in his rear. STUPID!
