Recently I have noticed a lack of decent Vampire movies... That is until I actually started to search. I came across movies like Bloodlust and other films made outside of America. Many of which I found enjoyable. Which brings me to the point, this goes for all genres of horror.

It is a shame that so many amazing movies arent pushed in the states. They arent advertised and they arent sold in stores. America needs a good international distribution company to make this possible. Horror is one of the most watched genre of films, and one of the oldest. Yet many of the best movies of the genre are not seen by us because we dont really get the chance. We are stuck watching these half baked horror movies, drawn out to the point that the viewer is exhausted, and chopped and cut by thousands of special fx.

Hopefully we can get back to make good horror movies, horror movies like Dracula, horror movies that actaully left the audience scared and made the audience want to cover up and watch a good comedy.

Now this is not to say there are not excellent horror movies coming out of America, but for the most part, you must wait for the same directors, such as Wes Craven (decent all though somewhat of a let down if not a Nightmare on Elm Street Movie). Or Steven Spielberg... (Gotta love The Shining.)

well its pretty much the same here in england, rental shops and retail shops rely to much on the big budget action movies or lame ass slasher horror movies like freddy vs jason, its crap, we don't want that, we want good old style horror movies which rely little on CGI and focus more on shocking and scaring the audience, everything horror movie you see now adays has some sort of CGI or something, now in the older horror movies of the 70s and 80s they would use pig guts and blood if someone got slashed or something, was so much better and enjoyable when you see them type of movies, but now its all fake ass blood and cgi monsters that can run up walls, its bullshit, and you got hungry executives of MGM, and miramax trying to cash in on old horror leagacys by making sequels of sorts and mucking them up, its a sad thing to see and i honestly have to say i haven't seen a decent vampire movie in a good couple of years, the last decent one i watched that i enjoyed was john carpenters vampires, was very good, also robert rodreguiezs from dusk till dawn was a very high entertainer for me but sadly what we get now is the crappy films like underworld and van helsing for christ sake those are not proper vampire movies, why won't the movie companys hand the projects to the legends like romero, carpenter, argento and many others that know how to make a horror movie, not the mommys boys that are trying to do horror today, its a damn shame and if it carrys on horror may just be like what comedy is today, also a genre that has pretty much gone down hill and lies on toilet humour and horny teenagers

Yea, Freddy vs. Jason was along the lines of Jason X for me. You think they'd learn their lesson... Nobody wants those movies. Except for lame posers who watch the movies for their title. I'd say they should make horror movies for true horror fans, but it would go on deaf ears. Its all about money. Who needs true fans when you have millions of people willing to pay 8 dollars at a movie theatre and 20 at their local Wal-Mart. Its so sad. :(

Yea... Foree was in Spain and England recently I believe. To me its the Actors and directors that make the industry... As it should be. I could care less about if someone knows their names or not though. As long as they show a true love for the art. Thats all you need is the love and respect for the art as far as Im concerned. Anything beyond that is great though and it just deepens my respect for the person.
