The Exorcist, The Original Series

Well, its not quite the time of year when we start thinking about goblins, ghouls and lucifer... That doesnt lessen the presence and effect of this great series though.

Ive heard many people say that the movie isnt scary, rather its grotesque or funny. To me though its an amazing series. Like these people the movies don't scare me but they leave me wondering... What if? They arrouse questions you normally wouldnt think of. Thats why I have 1 and 3 on dvd and just read 'The Beginning'.

What do you think of these movies, and are there any movies that rival the originality and perverse nature of these films?

well if your like me and know your exorcist history then you will know that the exorcist is actually based on supposedly true story. It orginates from a boy that in mid 1950s supposedly was possessed by the devil, now if true its a frightining prospect to be honest

Yea I have heard about it, there are actually many stories supposedly behind 'The Exorcist'. Most in eastern states of America such as Maryland and New Jersey. Many have been discredited though and unforutanately many more are on their way to be proven wrong. I wrote a thing in the general section. It was sparked when I was noticing the number of movies in my collection that had the "Based on true events" title. As much as I believe in the paranormal and other odd phenomena, I have yet to read a good case of an exorcism, which I find most unfortunate.
