The Plot!

Yes, that's right! The Forest of Shadows Wolf RPG finally has a completed plot that I, Avernus have typed up and posted! Can you believe it?! (I Can't! Lmao. Actually that's kind of....pathetic.)

Anyways, I'm very pleased with the turnaround this site is making. I know that it's inactivity before was indeed my fault. I guess the site kind of died when I went inactive but I promise that that will happen no more. I need dedication from all of you (I already know Drago and Morana are dedicated. They've stuck with it since the expo board >.<) and that means activity. We will be preforming an Activity Check and it will run on for a couple of weeks so that all members may have the chance to rejoin.

So, no more inactivity, right guys? I know there won't be any of that from me! ^___-

Careful mitts laid acutely shaped prints into the dying ocean of snow covered land. Slowly making his way towards no point in particular, the massive beast let his body move on its own accord. A large neck sailed low in relaxation while a bushy banner hung limply with no importance behind him. The bitter-sweet stench of mangled flesh and blood was heavy on the winds that morning and had sailed into the early hours of the afternoon too. Scarlet tainted ivorvies unshiethed themselves from their hiding and glinted in the soft sunlight. Salmon pink tongue, cursed a dark red licked up over a bold muzzle, clearing away some of the bitterly tasting substance from his fur.

The lands were white, not very much to see all in all, yet it was still a marvel. As winter's shadow was slowly fading, the sun's everlasting influence created a winter wonderland. Icicles hanging from the near trees glistened, and the snow's surface was shimmering and bright. Unmarred by any existance of human life or polution the fields were a lasting example of the pure beauty that still remained in the world. Gentle shafts of light carressed through the wolf's lone figure, combing its fingers over the many tangles, and as though the wind was fingers themselves the male could feel them fingering the dusted blue mark on his neck. One he had grown to be accustomed too since he was small.

A huff escaped his form as the wolven continued his way, until of course his steps halted in almost a sudden reaction. Ears flickered up on his crania as a soft crack echoed from beneath him. Amber yellow eyes searched the ground as his nares flaired open to sniff, somehow he had wandered onto not land, but ice! Connor froze almost instantly as he sniffed his dilema, muscles rippled under a thick pelt as he slowly turned his head upwards to search over the land in front of him. Ice seemed to stretch thinly for a few more feet before it dropped and split into a large body of water. Tail flicking he saw the gentle current moving under the thin ice as more splitting cracks were heard under his paws.

Perhaps today would be finally the moment he had waited for? Where death would at last be granted to his weary form. Taking another couple steps out onto the thinning lake eagarly hopeful that it would be at its end. Yet that was not how it would be, as a voice, familiar to him, rose in his mind. A gracious howling of demand and order laced its might. Unwillfully Connor's paws leapt in the opposite direction and just as the last crack had split the ice in halves the male landed on solid ground. The howling ceased and all was again quiet.

Sides heaving and pants heavier the wolf snarled his distaste in Luna's tortures. Why could she just not permit him rapture from this world, was it really that much to ask? His body collasped easily into the edge to rest, tail curling up along his body and wrapping around his legs. It wasn't really a bad place to be actually, peaceful and there was plenty of little rodents running around. Water, and shade too. Connor didn't seem to notice all of these good qualities, still moping about not drowning, his world slowly faded as the male laid his head on his paws, drifting into a light doze. A sparkle in the aging skies gave way to the early rise of the night goddess, her eyes forever lingering on those that she claimed for her own.

Hours passed as a soft whisper stirred the wolf awake, nighttime had come and the world was bathed in darkness, except for the luminous glow from the pale globe that hung heavily above the horizon of the lake's surface. Blinking a few times, Connor yawned the sleep away, his limps all at once moved and stretched before once more curling into a comfortable ball, not yet ready to move too much. Tail flicking he lifted his head for a third time that day, a soft groan spelt the pain he felt in his hind leg. Gaze directing to it Connor saw that the blood on the small wound had dried and clung now to his fur. Having gotten into a spat with a fox, the little tricky canine had been killed and devoured but not without inflicting damnage on the elder larger wolf.

Hissing as he moved his leg he slowly cleaned the wound with a gentle touch. Not particularily liking the taste of his own blood he lived with it. Slowly the hairs lost their crimson tint and the gash was simple a ugly scar in which had been outlined with a pinked color. It would heal, no doubt and return to good as new in a few days. Finished and content that everything was cleaned up he looked around. It wasn't such a bad place and now he realised it. He would need someplace to rest until his leg healed, "As good a habitat as any other I suppose." He whispered quietly. Lifting his bodice from the ground Connor moved with a noticable limp towards the other side of the lake, marking the perimeter with his own scent. He wasn't fond of company and make for certain the scented ring around Aqua lake told every creature to be wary of entering. A fair warning to any beast that had hopes of living.

Satisfied Connor moved to a large tree, conveniently enough there at the base of the large willow was a hole carved out from under the tree. It was large enough for a wolf of his size and almost as though put there for his own use the male dug it out a bit more. The process was slow and hard as he scooped out the dirt muttering to himself. "Doth thou find exstacy from tormenting my travels o'lady of the night?" He whispered darkly, dishing the dirt out as he expanded the entrance a bit more. "Doth thou sit upon thine high throne and stretch thine sweet laughter to the stars at my expense? Why do thee not answer my questions?" His voice was lost on the night air, although some might have easily dubbed the male crazy, they did not see what he had been put through. His tongue was ancient and made of silk as finally the young bruten crawled into the burrow, turning in the tight yet fitting space to gaze up at the moon lit night. Sleep again nursed his exaustion as morning rose around the sleeping brute. With a new day came new surprises, but what?

OoC: That has got to be my worst post in the history of, well ever! -shakes head- I used up all my bloody creativity in his history. -crawls under a rock- eeep! gah...

Bad post. I didn't know what to say, and it's kind of contradicting, but there it is anyways. Just go along with it.

In Character
It was night time. Midnight's favorite time. Instead of finding shadows, as one had to do during the day, all she had to do was stay out of the light. That blasted moonlight, and that of the stars. Her favorite nights were when the moon failed to show its' pale face, and it was so cloudy that the stars were hidden. Yet, tonight the moon was out, the stars were bright, and she was stalking in the shade of the forests and bushes, making sure to stay near the cover offered by trees, so that the snow did not so greatly contrast with her black form. Snow was awful. It was white, and she was black, and she hated it, but at least at night it wasn't as bright as it was in the daytime.

Why was she out here? Why wouldt the betess of the Shadowed Forest pack be out here, in the borders, alone? Because she was the type of wolf who enjoyed exploring, traveling, and was not the kind to take kindly to borders. She refused to be kept on one piece of land her entire life. She was a member of a pack, but if she was not free to travel the surorunding lands, then she wouldn't be a member for long. The pack needed her more than she needed it was how she thought of it, anyways. They didn't want her running off to some other pack, and would let her do pretty much anything, as long as she stayed loyal to them. And even that wasn't a certain thing with Midnight. She could be a spy.

She wasn't, though. MIdnight was as loyal to Avernus as she could be. That wasn't saying a whole lot, but it said enough. She wouldn't go off and kill the female unless she had good reason to, and she wouldn't leave the packlands for a long period of time without telling her. The two females were not yet friends, and so Midnight refused to promise Avernus that she would risk her life for any member of the pack when she wasn't sure they would do the same for her. A pack was not a 'give everything you got to them and recieve nothing in return' system. If Midnight was going to risk her life, she wanted to at least be on friendly terms with the wolf she was dying for. In truth, she was another fighter, a murderer, a thorn in the other pack's foot. And she liked it that way, because she knew at any time, she could become not a thorn, but a rose to that pack, and stick herself in the one she was the very betess of at the moment. If worse came to worse, that was how things would be.

Midnight was in search of that demon wolf Avernus had spoke of. She had left the two stupid wolves behind to chat, and had figured they may have gone back to the packlands to converse before going after the so called light demon. Well, the packlands were boring. She wanted to find that wolf, wanted to explore the borders more thoroughly, yearned to know these lands so well that her knowledge alone would be seen as a threat. Avernus and Drago could consult each other on how best to approach this demon, but Midnight was not the type to sit and chat. She wanted action, and she would find it. The two would probably come later, anyways.

As she came closer to a lake, Midnight caught the sound of mumbled words on the wind. "Doth thou sit upon thine high throne and stretch thine sweet laughter to the stars at my expense? Why do thee not answer my questions?" Well, it didn't sound like a demon wolf to her, but it resembled a darn crazy one. Who used words like 'doth' and 'thou' anyways? Well, she wanted to see. Stepping right through the marked lands without a second thought, Midnight followed the scent of the wolf to the den. Wolves should not mark lands that didn't belong to them. He could not claim this place, even if he liked it here. She curled around the tree which the male was sleeping in, and her golden eyes glowed as she peered inside the hollow, seeing his large form sleeping. Well, time to wake the nice, large crazy wolf so she could get a good look at him.

Baby....honey....wake up, darling.

Midnight cooed the words into the cave, and bent down, taking hold of a rather large leaf and stroking his head with it. It was great to wake a wolf with a loud snarl, but it was even more entertaining to caress them gently, and have them awake to a snarling, devil-looking female. So, once she cooed a greeting, she let her hackles raise and her ears slid forward, as she bared her teeth, looking the exact opposite of her voice. SHe had sounded sweet and innocent, but she looked exactly how she actually was in reality, mean and vicious.

A dream state had drifted over the slumbering wolf, his breaths were light and unfortunately stable as each were drawn in and released in a timely fashion. Eye lids were pulled closed over his luminous amber hues, shutting out the world as his mind had been cast far from reality, though it wasn't exactly a fantasy that most would have enjoyed, in fact perhaps Constantine would have been the only one to enjoy just a vision. Large furry mitts were swiping absently through the air, scraping at the dirt that laid under them.

Visions took him back to the same reoccuring nightmare that had plagued him for several new moons. Since the day he had been pushed closer to his fate as a servant, had he witnessed the same sequalling vision. His dream started out on a dark path, lit in neat rows of a multi colored flame almost as it was spin upwards along the narrow road. It wasn't like the forests he had known for so long, however the roads were paved with tiny cobblestones and as ever the male was forever moving along the cleaned road. There was no trees to line the sides and no stench of wolven packlands.

Soon the firey trail would rise one at a time and multiply into dozens of small glowing lights, tacking themselves to random places in the seemingly black surrounding. As he continued running, his gait tuned into a steady lope the darkness started to reform. Shapes were being dug out of the blackness and were rising high above him. They were all in the same shape and all bearing the same golden lights that had shown him the path on which he ventured. Breaths anxious and spaced in close content he felt himself being pulled into this unknown world. Per normal, the voices soon set in. They spoke in a strange tongue, one he hadn't known before and later the phantom voices were followed and met with two legged beings. Some were carrying odd parcels while others drew up large arched canopies that stretched over each of their heads personally.

Yet Constantine had continued to trot along the road, the street lamps were clear now, as were the population of the human race. His eyes glowed for a moment before he found the thing that was pulling him deeper into this other world. "Why have thou summon me here once more?" Connor had said, his voice somewhat distant and echoed as he stared at the only living being that could notice his exsistance stared back at him with lightly colored azure orbs. His body had sunk under her careful watch and only when she had been satisfied with his lowered state had the fae begun to speak. "Do not play thine trivial games with me, dear Constantine." She whispered to him, her voice although could be quite dangerous, was unsurprisingly, gentle and loving.

His world again vanished as he ventured the furthest he had been into the dream. Little by little Luna would show her servant a vision of another life, one she could see by night that was very unlike their own quiet existance. His dreams of this place of the two leggeds were forever and always cast into immense shadow, darkness and with only bits of light stuck in random places to show what he was looking upon. Following his mistress obediently the male trailed his nose against the smoother road surface. sniffing periodically. His paws were sore from being unused to the smooth surface.

A small field was placed in the center of this seemingly large city and as they continued towards it, Connor had felt that strange nagging again. There was a strange sensation here and one he couldn't quite place. Narrowing his slits he tried to figure out exactly was he was looking upon as the hustle and bustle of the city had faded away from existance. A voice had broke into his world of illusion and Luna had turned around smoothly, clearly annoyed but a smile forever persisted. "Has thou a problem mi'lady? What is this that I stare upon?" He had asked but silenced himself as she shook her head only briefly to signify his immediate quiet. "Go for someone doth now summon you. But be reassurred that it will not finish this night, for more study doth I need to turtor you with Constantine." She had said and Connor, without much of a choice had been yanked from his dreams. The soft tone grew louder as his ears had twitched randomly, the world around him fell into place as his slumber was officially coming to an abrupt end.

Body stirring slowly his muzzle stretched in a tiredly yawn, blinking a couple times his eyes slowly focussed to the dark world around him. Head still situated on his forelap he found the world had blackened since the last he had seen it. Where was the moon? However the steady breaths of an intruder was warm against his winter coat, hairs being pushed around as whatever it was, was breathing on him. Finally his sights adjusted and Connor hardly flitched as he stared a large wolf in the face. Its fangs were bared and deadly close to his own face while a unheard snarl was in her expression. "If thou have a task of murder, do so quickly before thou mind hath changed." He said quietly, his voice akin to distant thunder as it rolled from his vocals. Neither afraid nor worried of what intentions the seemingly fae had, Connor merely laid there.

Could this be the final day of his pathetic existance? Had Luna given into his pleads and prayers at long last? The joyous thought could only remain as such at that given moment as he gave no details of his inner expressions. His face was unreadable in the dull lighting. his composure was relaxed and unphazed by her unexpected visit.

Took you long enough. Lol. wink.gif

In Character
The wolf took a very long time to raise his head. A very long time. Midnight could have quite easily ripped open his throat. Luckily, this night, she was not lusting blood, but she did seek entertainment. Life inside the packlands was very boring. The male did finally wake up from his deep sleep, though, and Midngiht expected him to jump out of his skin, so she could have a very nice laugh. But, he didn't. He hardly even flinched! Dissapointment clouded her eyes, as she stepped away from the hollow. He was no fun! "If thou have a task of murder, do so quickly before thou mind hath changed." So calmly his words were spoken, and what strange choice of words he did use. "Thou" and "hath"? Wow. Old fashioned wolf.

Well, if you want me to murder you, I'm afraid I can not. You see, I live to see wolves suffer, and rarely give them what they want, which, for you, is death, right?

Midnight chuckled at herself. There was something funny about this male. Not just the way he spoke....but everything about him! He was so calm. Midnight knew she would have jumped had a wolf snuck up on her in the fashion she did to him. Then again, she would never sleep in a place where such things could happen so easily, or fall asleep so heavily. But, first things first. Where did he come from, that he talked like that, eh?

So, you still living in the past, or did your parents teach you talk all proper?

Kiloni's choice of words may not have been as sophisticated as Constantine's, but they were spoken coldly, and seriously. She was not really the type to joke. She enjoyed mocking, but in a serious way, so that it could hardly be deciphered as nothing more than a way to irritate her companion. And, what was his name? Did he expect her to kill him, without even knowing his name? He was being rude, too, just sitting in that den.

Are you going to come out, or does the night hurt your eyes? And what is your name? Maybe I should call you..."Sleeper"

Yawning, Midnight deciced to take a stroll around the tree. Maybe that would give him time to get out of the tree...

[Calling back my future,]

*cough* Hi there........*meek look*

[And ruining my past.]

Out of the shadows, Avernus slid, red eyes gleaming the color of blood. Her head was raised above their's but not so much that she could be considered a 'prick'. Her tail became still behind her, becoming limp next to her legs. Her ears were sentries atop her head, straight and unmoving. She stood at her full heighth, not caring that her being over five feet tall intimidated many wolves. Hell... she could care less that others were intimidated or scared of her being much bigger then almost all wolves.

She watched the two of them with a silent, though still deadly, demeanor. Midnight had hurried here after leaving her and Drago behind. Drago was on his way still, Midnight already here, and avernus had just arrived. The wolf before her though, not Midnight but the other, the lighter colored male.... she knew him. A wolf from tales of old. Jest as she herself was. But he was the story, the tale of her downfall. The angel that would destroy the demon. He was the world's unwarranted savior. He was her enemy.

She blinked once, long and slow, before her jaws cracked apart and she began to speak. Thank you, Midnight, for greeting our new and dearly beloved guest. She said the words 'dearly beloved' with such hatred and sarcasm, that her powers briefly revealed themselves, fire flaring out around her, making her look like the demon she really was.

If you'd be so kind as to step away from him, Midnight. I say this only for your own good, and out of the concern of my own for your well-being. Please, be a dear, and come to my side. Then you might see him for what he really is. A low whine became a soft and deadly growl. And then, she directly addressed him, a demonic glint in her eyes.

You are a wolf of the Lunary age are you not? One of Luna's followers? And please.... don't try to deny it. I already know the answer. She stepped forward, her teeth hidden behind her maw, her ears held rigid atop her skull. Tell me what you are doing here, Constantine Monagona. Did Luna tell you to rid the world of it's demon? Did she tell you to destroy me? To kill me? Will I be your offering to Luna? So you can finally die and cross into heaven's paradise?

Yes, Avernus was making violent assumptions, but she had full confidence in her words and however he reacted, she would not back down.

The wolven dame seemed disappointed with Connor's choice of words and apparently that he hadn't jumped like a scared pup after her little trickery. No matter, he had served his life humoring others, some would be pleased with him, others wouldn't. It wasn't like he cared much about it, with any luck their anger would take him to his grave. No such luck existed though it seemed, as the wolf still drew breath. He witnessed the fae step away from his dwelling, and later circling the tree, speaking. Well, if you want me to murder you, I'm afraid I can not. You see, I live to see wolves suffer, and rarely give them what they want, which, for you, is death, right?

He didn't answer, instead, the brute merely delivered himself from the burrow that was crested into the base of the tree. His body twisted once he had levered himself to ground level, shaking out all particles of dirt from him. He wasn't worried about the company he had been graced with, and wasn't concerned like some would be. It seemed she wouldn't kill him now, go figure, and with that thought clearly embedded into his mind, Connor had no more use for her. "And you still continue to taunt me." He whispered more to himself then anything.

He could feel his mistress' presence, knowing she was keeping this wolf from harming him. Didn't she ever take a coffee break? The female seemed to want to linger, further teasings from his lady. So, you still living in the past, or did your parents teach you talk all proper? Connor sighed, his orbed shifted slowly towards her circling frame as he had sat down on the spot. "If thou hath no intent of murder, thou presence here is no longer welcomed." He told her smoothly. He didn't need anyone around and would perfer solitude over anything. But luck would have it, Luna wouldn't let him go without company tonight.

The moon loomed haughtily overhead, its light digging into his two toned pelt. The fae seemed to ask him of the name his parents had bestowed upon him, but Connor wasn't given the time to answer. Good grief. Luna's voice whispered to him, and obediantly, the male stood. It wasn't even like he controlled his body anymore, simply she'd command him and the wolf would abide. He could feel her eyes on this newcomer. Something stirred inside him, a hatred that he hadn't known before and without permission, spinal collum grew straighter as his head lifted higher. "This my pet is Avernus. She is a server of the darkness Constantine." Luna's sweet tone whispered to him.

Connor looked at the female as she made her way towards him, her crimson visionaries staring hatefully towards him. Avernus had spoken to the female first, dubbing her Midnight. Connor simply kept his eyes on the five foot fatale, when she had said that Midnight would see him for 'what he was' he knew she had knowledge of him. He didn't even know what he was anymore, he had nothing against this fae but it seemed, Luna did. Sigh racking his figure, he waited listlessly for her to address him finally.

"You are a wolf of the Lunary age are you not? One of Luna's followers? And please.... don't try to deny it. I already know the answer." Tail flicking slowly, he could see the powers this one held wrapping around her. She was on demon blood, apparently against his own tutilage. He thought her question over slowly, watching her. "I hath no reason to deny thine accusations against the loyalties I pocess. A follower thou dub me, but I am far from such a leisurely status." Connor spoke slowly and quietly, yet his voice didn't falter in the slightest. She had advanced on his and he remained unphazed by it. If this one would kill him then so be it, he would be only too happy to let her.

"Tell me what you are doing here, Constantine Monagona. Did Luna tell you to rid the world of it's demon? Did she tell you to destroy me? To kill me? Will I be your offering to Luna? So you can finally die and cross into heaven's paradise? He could feel his mistress' wrath, her soft anger rushing around him. She was standing beside him, urging him forward with answers of defence to her name. But Connor did his best to ignore such incantations. "My lady speaks to me of many things, dark one. Alas, I doth fail to see where thy business lays with the conversations my mistress and I engage in." Luna had been content with his choice of words, and had commended him softly for it. Yet Connor wasn't finished.

"I doth however deny the accusation of intending to take thine life. I need not thou's precious life to bring about mine own redemption." Connor let his haunches support him again as he had sat down and waited. He clearly wasn't at all nerved by Avernus' appearance, why should he be?

Out of Character

In Character
Midnight stopped in front of Connor, once the male stepped out of the tree, and went into a defensive position, just in case. One could never be too sure when it came to strangers. She saw his lips move, and heard a hiss, but could not interpret his words, and her brow raised. What is he saying? His next words were spoken loudly enough to be easily understood, though. "If thou hath no intent of murder, thou presence here is no longer welcomed." Midnight's brows furrows, and she bared her fangs at him. She would do whatever she wanted, and if that meant staying here and annoying him, then that was what she would be doing!

Before she could tell him just that, however, the male abruptly stood and his gaze turned away from her. Midnight snarled in annoyance, and before she turned, too, to see what he was looking at, she had been about to jump in front of him so he was forced to look at her. Avernus. Here to spoil the fun. Midnight openly sighed, and gave an ever so slight nod to her alphess, when she was adressed.. Thank you, Midnight, for greeting our new and dearly beloved guest. Greeting?! Oh no, she had been talking and had been planning to talk to it all night! But, no, Avernus had to come and ruin things. If you'd be so kind as to step away from him, Midnight. I say this only for your own good, and out of the concern of my own for your well-being. Please, be a dear, and come to my side. Then you might see him for what he really is. Midnight returned the growl that had formed in Avernus's throat with one of her won, outright proclaiming her defiance. No, she would not move from this spot, to see what this wolf really was. Avernus had no control over Midnight, and the female was not going to, for one second, let the alphess think she did.

From her spot, a few steps to the side of Avernus, and a bit more forward, Midnight could see the demonic glint, and the word crazy flew across her mind. Her golden eyes watched her alphess as she addressed the rather boring male. You are a wolf of the Lunary age are you not? One of Luna's followers? And please.... don't try to deny it. I already know the answer. Lunary age? What the hell?! Connor answered the question, in a confusing way, as well. "I hath no reason to deny thine accusations against the loyalties I pocess. A follower thou dub me, but I am far from such a leisurely status." A follower...of the moon? For that was what lunar was....Crazy wolves, both of them.

Tell me what you are doing here, Constantine Monagona. Did Luna tell you to rid the world of it's demon? Did she tell you to destroy me? To kill me? Will I be your offering to Luna? So you can finally die and cross into heaven's paradise? Well, Midnight may not have understood what exactly Avernus was talking about, but she know what killing was, and a soft growl left her. Nobody was laying a paw on Avernus. Not while she was here. Connor showed no sign of wishing to attack, though. "My lady speaks to me of many things, dark one. Alas, I doth fail to see where thy business lays with the conversations my mistress and I engage in." He then took a seat and continued, not even putting up a guarded posture. "I doth however deny the accusation of intending to take thine life. I need not thou's precious life to bring about mine own redemption." Redemption? This wolf actually believed in heaven and hell?! Well....Avernus was crazy, and so was this wolf. Why were they enemies?

You both really shouldn't be fighting. I see no reason for it. You both seem to be lunatics.

Midnight laughed softly at her own joke, and then went silent, watching. It was quite entertaining, to watch two insane wolves bicker and try to talk to each other. At least now she knew the wolf's name. Constantine. Funny name, that was. Long, too. Ah well. Names were names. It didn't look like Constantine would be around much longer, if he didn't manage to calm Avernus down. And Midnight was all for seeing a wolf die.
