Hey, sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you guys, it’s been a bit busy lately.

Haha, I’m sure Aryith can get away with all of those labels. I think they’d probably get on quite well once they got past any awkwardness over Dameon and worked out their relationship, both of which sound like things that are going to take time and interaction more than anything else. Maybe Ary can witness one of Ian’s rare outbursts of temper in the process? Or he could ask her to come stargazing with him one night, or get involved in one of her schemes at some point. I’m afraid I’ve got more thread ideas than long term plot ideas at the moment

I think if she’s got mothering tendencies then he might end up thinking of her as a sort of older sister, so after the wedding’s called off he might come to her for comfort in the form of a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on. Would her friendship with Emilia be before or after the wedding? If it’s before I think he’d be very happy that the two women were getting along, but might be a bit unsure of Ary again afterwards as he wouldn’t be sure how much she knew about Emilia’s real feelings. As he didn’t realise himself it wouldn’t be for long, but it could set their relationship back a few steps. If it’s afterwards I think he’d be close enough to Ary by that stage to try and get on with Emilia, but he’d probably try and avoid staying in their company for very long if he could.
If there’s even an open topic with Kaleb or Penelope I shall be sure to throw Ian their way

and if I come up with any others ideas I’ll be sure to let you know!

Maybe before Ian gets settled into a comfortable relationship with Dameon and Aryith, he could be more comfortable in her presence while visiting Appleton? He tries to get along with everyone so he’d be friendly towards her, but I think he’d probably have a greater potential for getting under her feet than anything else if he was trying to avoid spending too much time alone with his brother and sister-in-law. After he gets more comfortable with them I think he’d be willing to help her and stop to chat if she was around, but probably wouldn’t have that much to do with her unless they’d established a clear bond in the mean time.
Katherine I think he’d feel quite sorry for as she’s been cast aside by his family, and on some level he’d admire her for being willing to do things she didn’t want to for her family and the king when he’s struggling with it. He’d be pretty distressed over a feud between their two families, so maybe he could approach her to see if there’d be any way they could offer her some sort of recompense before things progress any further? If she agreed he’d go to her family with his offer and have to talk his father into it somehow, but if he was going to try that he’d want to make sure that she was getting what she wanted out of it first as she was the injured party. I’m not sure he’d be much help against a life of service to god if that’s what her family want her to do, but if she wanted his support for something at any point then she’d probably have it.
Um... yeah... not feeling so creative right now

any ideas?
