Righty. To start with I’m Ellie, Ian’s latest player, and I’m basically looking for everything plot and relationship wise but if anyone’s got characters who had a relationship or a plot with Ian before then let me know and we can work out what we’re doing with that.
A bit of background... Ian is the younger son of the current Duke of Tyrish, but due to Dameon being disinherited is the heir apparent and isn’t terribly happy about it. He’s a nice young man but not the smartest one you’ll ever meet, and as such anyone who’s manipulative can probably lead him around by the nose without any problems. Prior to being made heir apparent he wanted to become a Justice of the Peace, as such he is sincere about wanting to help people in the community work peacefully together to improve things in general and is in favour of settling arguments without resorting to violence. He’s currently engaged to Lady Emilia Stafford and unaware of her sister Leila’s feelings for him or Emilia’s reasons for becoming dejected recently. There’s a lot more information in the profile, and if you’ve got any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
The only plot idea I can think of right now is someone rescuing Ian from a frog, because he’s really scared of them. Don’t particularly mind who, how or where, but it should be fun, so... volunteers?
I’m pretty much open to plot ideas and I’m looking forwards to hearing from people, so either reply here or pm me, I don’t mind which
EMILIA + IAN: D'aww. What a cute, little happy couple. These two are engaged, and madly in love. ...NOT. At least Emilia isn't. She's attached herself to Ian because she believes him to be the key to stability in her future. No more flitting about with other men; with no father it is high time she settled down. Emilia is fond of Ian, yes, and practically adores him. He's just not the dark, dashing foreigner she has always dreamed of. With Nico there to sidetrack the young woman, she's been a little less lustrous than usual. No liasons have started with Nico and Emilia, but she can only hope to attract his eye. To compensate and avoid feeling guilty, Emilia has started spending more time with Ian than usual. So, in other words, WE SHOULD THREAD. ;D
ALYS + IAN: She's his queen, yo. I think she would rather like him as a person too. Ideas? I'm open.

AHHHH! *tackles* Okay, I've got Aldrin Seraphin, the king and Ian's first cousin through marriage! Aldrin could help Ian with the estate and give him an actual position in court while he's waiting to inherit.
Dameon, Ian's brother, is rising in court at the moment as he's kind of taking over Julius Havarilli's place as King' Companion (aka: official best friend and favored courtier). So that might affect the relationship of king and cousin. So Aldrin might also be keen on shedding grace to the other Severallis as well (i.e. Ian, lol)
Also, I have Helen Moranin (who is due to be married to Baron James Alexander) and she might know Ian since the two are similar in age and probably came to court around the same time. She's seventeen, I believe, and quite a...um...well, no, I guess she's not exactly charming. Either way, she's a socialite and possibly the only redeeming girl of the Moranin family though that's not saying much.
Considering I have only a single character in play at the moment... Of course, I know you want to.
LEILA + IAN ;
The future sister-in-law of the new heir to the Tyrish Duchy ( Good god, I almost typed in Ducky ), Leila Stafford has all happiness and blessings for her sister and brother-in-law-to-be. BUT! Hang on, there's a loose piece of thread. As her friendship bond with Ian grows at every passing day, Leila finds herself attracted further to the sweet, kind-hearted young man. Emilia's flirting about with the Greesian Prince troubles her, and yet she is unable to blame Emilia, instead attempting to divert Ian's attention so that he doesn't realize that Emilia's being different than she had been at the very start. Unfortunately for the young lady, this particular young man is apparently her sister's betrothed, someone whom she is never supposed to fall in love with, and yet has.
AHA. THERE YOU GO. LET'S SPICE UP THE DRAMA.

I have Lucian, the royal doctor's assistant. He's pretty much a workaholic.
Aidan is home in Sundari for a small time but he's due to return to the Teeth shortly. He's Ian's cousin but rather sarcastic...
I can somehow see Felicity rescuing him from a frog, even though she generally despises noblemen. But perhaps she mistakes him for someone of a lower rank?

Emilia We should indeed thread He’ll be delighted that she wants to spend more time together, but he’s going to insist on being properly chaperoned at all times I’m afraid. Any idea where to start a thread? I was thinking that it might be easier to start one in the Seraphin palace somewhere, seeing as they’re both at court and it would be easy to say there’s a chaperone milling about in the background.
Alys Maybe he could try and get her involved in some of the charitable projects he’s supporting? Or if Alys is already involved in charitable work as part of her role as queen then he could try to help her with it. Ian likes everyone, so I don’t think there’s going to be any problem with them not liking each other, although he’d probably be a bit shy of her at first. I think she introduced him to the girl he was briefly betrothed to before Emilia, so do you want to try and do something with that or shall we just ignore it?
Aldrin *falls over* haha, liking the sound of Aldrin helping Ian and finding him a position, Ian would probably appreciate being given a definite job to do for the time being. Could be interesting if Dameon’s rising again as well, with the Severalli family tensions coming into play. Ian would probably be a bit in awe of Aldrin at first, but I’ve no doubt that he’ll soon be trying to encourage any movements, acts and charities he thinks could help improve the situation of the Sundrili people. Want to start a thread somewhere?
Helen I’m not sure they’d be friends as such, but if they both arrived at court around the same time then it’s entirely possible that they’d have met at some point. Once Ian got past the stage of seeing only the best in her he’d probably be a bit upset about her behaviour towards others, but unless they were continually forced into close quarters I doubt he’d say anything about it to her.
Leila Ducks are nice too All sounds very good, so... thread? Ian’s probably going to be pretty oblivious to any growing attraction on Leila’s part, or if he does notice it he’ll try and ignore it and just hope it works itself out somehow. As they spend more time together he might start to return those feelings, but he’d be pretty deep in denial about it for some time. Yay for the drama!
Lucian Charity cases. Ian’s going to be dragging the human equivalent of baby birds and injured animals to Lucian as soon as he knows that he’s a doctor, never mind that he’s the royal doctor’s assistant. He might try and get him to do a bit more outside of his work though, he wouldn’t see being a workaholic as something healthy. Maybe they can meet when Ian takes a minor injury to him or something?
Aidan Sarcasm might do Ian some good. Alternatively it might pass him by entirely, probably depending on what sort of mood he’s in. As they’re cousins I’m assuming that they’d already know each other? To be honest, at the moment I’m envisioning a relationship like that of Mr Darcy and Mr Bingly, but that could just be because I’ve been watching clips on youtube this afternoon
Felicity Felicity to the rescue! Ian generally dresses quite well, but he tends to get in a mess when he goes stargazing, so maybe he could be covered in dirt an leaves when she sees him? It would also be pretty early in the morning so if dim light’s taken into account then it might be possible for Felicity not to notice how expensive the cloths are under the dirt until she gets a good look at Ian?
Well, the creator of the plot, our admin Rosie-Posie, basically mentioned that she'd always imagine Emilia running out of the wedding in full bride-attire. xD Yes, it's a lot of guilt on Leila's part too, and this event is particularly going to be of huge, huge, huge influence in her life, and it basically will be of great impact on her character and so.

... well, I suppose considering Rose marrying a family enemy and Dameon marrying the kings fool, expecting Ian’s wedding to go off without a hitch was always going to be optimistic. They’ll be so paranoid about any of their children’s wedding days.
Yep, huge impacts. I think after that it’s going to take Ian some time to trust anyone again, especially the Stafford girls, but I’m sure they’ll work it all out somehow.

Lucian He probably would humor Ian's charity cases since Lucian actually is fond of animals (his dog Nina, for example.) At first he might see Ian as a major annoyance, but probably they'd become friends. You want to start this thread?

Elizabeth Mason is the maid to Queen Alys and the eldest of a family of six. She has a dream to become a lady and has a secret ambison to rival any lady at court. But she does everything, first and foremost, for her family.

Aidan lol, probably not necessary, I was just watching the bbc version and one of their exchanges made me think of Aiden and Ian. If you’ve got about six hours free, it’s a very good watch. Shall we say that they get on fairly well, but don’t always understand each other’s viewpoints and/or actions?
Lucian Lucian should have Ian dragging in his first charity case in the next day or so, probably an injured kid if that’s alright? Or it might be a cat... haven’t actually written anything yet, but whatever it is, it’ll be injured
Elizabeth Hi, nice to meet you Ian would indeed be happy to speak to Lizzie. I’m not sure that he’d pick up on her ambition so much, but he’d probably take a romanticised view of her doing anything she can for her family and try to help her with that. Maybe she could use him as an unwitting pawn in any schemes she has?

Anway I have some people to throw at you though really it might be only prudent to list one as I play BARONESS ARYITH SEVERALLI, Ian's *cough*lovable, wonderful, beautiful, spunky...etc *cough* sister in law. (okay so all that great stuff was just because I am a proud mama and I love my baby XD
Anyway as far as Aryith is concerned, and I think I read it in your bio as well, Ian doesn't seem to be having the sort of reaction to Ary and Da that Rose and her hsuband are (which Ary appreciates). So, plotting ideas could possibly be, Ian coming to visit Orchard Hill, It's not spectacular at the moment but it's better than it was. Ary's going to be in court for most of the winter and spring so they could possibly converse there. Ary and Emilia are going to have a friendship goin on later so maybe Ian and Ary can talk about that too if you like! Ary, likes Ian, not romantically obviously but she's always sort of viewed him with an odd sort of motherly fondnessand honestly I have no idea why. I think she would understand her part in having Ian becoming the heir to the dukedom.
Family is a not necessarily a new concept for Ary but she hasn't exactly had an "offical" one in a long time, so I could see her being a bit wary of Ian as her "brother" but at the same time, utterly facinated by the arrangement if that makes sense.
Other characters that I have are Kaleb Harper, and Lady Penelope Pewter, but again, I don't think they'd have cause for much interaction but you're welcome to toss Ian into an open topic if I ever put one up for them lol.
Um so yeah I'm pretty open to ideas, I love plotting so you can either reply here with thoughts of Pm me i'm good either way
I have two characters- maid to his sister-in-law and ex-fiancee of his brother
Aislinn came to Appleton as Lady Aryith's maid. Both were servants at the Palace and upon her marriage to Dameon Ary asked Aislinn to come with her. She now resides at Appleton with the 'happy couple'. If he were to visit Appleton he might run into my gal. Not sure what if anything would happen with these two.
My other character: Lady Katherine Redalan Lady Katherine was unwillingly betrothed to the Dameon when he was discovered by the King- in the King's anger apparently Kat was the first person he thought of to marry Dameon. Although she did not love Dameon, she was of course going to do her duty until the fool went and married the King's fool- ie broke the engagement. Although she is happy in a way to be out of the marriage, she is now caught in the middle of a family feud and destined for live of service to God...
Let me know if anything comes to mind for either charrie
