Forum: The Glitch Mob

After seeing Chris' parkour video and hearing its very familiar soundtrack, I thought I'd bring its creator The Glitch Mob to your attention

They're a group of three deejays that make electronic music with a lot of hip-hop and R&B influences, which results in a refreshing and energetic sound. You can download a few of their mix tapes from their website for free, which give a very good impression of their personal works as well as the music they create as a collective.

The deejays' (Boreta, Ooah and edIT) solo stuff is also worth checking out. I'm a big fan of especially edIT's music as it introduced me to the popping and new style dance scene. Perhaps a bit of a cliché statement, but discovering this trio has really changed my life. I never really was into hip-hop, electronic music nor dancing, but now I'm loving it and I'm even taking new style dance lessons, haha

Is anyone else already familiar with them, or does anyone know similar artists? I'm always on the lookout for new good music

These guys have blended in some other styles as well, but they have been one of the main reasons I started dancing

The dance looks funny but the music not really my style.

Some nice music, but mostly for when you go out.
There was a dj not long ago that played this style when i was at a party. I went totally crazy on it, because of the beer but definitly also because of the music.

There's something about this music that makes me wanna move, I cannot just sit still and listen to it. That's how I got into dancing...

It's cool that you've found a hobby where you can express yourself properly. Theres nothing worse than not having an outlet for emotion and creativity

How do your guitar playing skills progress, Ewo?

I remember that a year or so ago, somebody created a topic inquiring on the possible reasons of your disappearance I checked your Twitter and one of the entries said that you hurt your hand while playing guitar, or something like that... And so I reported to our RS friends

Haha, I remember that! One of my guitar strings broke and hit my hand. It wasn't anything serious though

Last February I moved to a neighborhood with houses built specially for musicians, but ever since I lived there I barely played guitar. It was my first 'own' home (shared with a friend of mine) in a big city and that has changed my quite a lot! I got into other things, different kinds of music and lost interest in playing guitar

Never heard of them but their music is pretty good!

Is the place where you moved to in hoogvliet?

Yes it is, it's called Veld van Klanken, meaning Field of Sounds in English. But I guess you're familiar with that area?
