New 1.7.0.2 DFX exe in preliminary testing

Unfortunally I don't have the game. Looks like they skip the DFX 2 beta by testing new things with this patch.

The last version of DFX was 1.6.9.3
Final JO Version was 1.6.9.2
Fingers crossed on JO 1.7.0.1!!!! rolleyes.gif

Notes: If you have any issues moving, delete PLAYER.SAV file

Squad tags are partially working in the current EXE.  This exe has the tags show up in a few more areas and colors them.  At the end of game, you can sort by any column just by clicking at the top of the column.

The network requirements of this EXE are higher than the shipping EXE.  We are asking people to test this EXE because some connections might choke.  If this is the case, we'll add a switch or test the connection.  The intended end result is that DFX gets updated to better utilize modern hardware and better support the new NovaWorld Community squads, and everyone is happy.



If you want a dramatic test of what the sync code and higher bandwidth is addressing, try doing a running jump to a railing.  On the old EXE you'll land on the railing, then get yanked down to the ground.  There are other advantages as well, but it all needs testing with an open mind.
