[How can I love you] Taye was silent for a very long while after Melandru's 'speech.' So... That was it then. He... Was as afraid as she was. That's what she realized she was truely feeling inside. Fear. Lonliness. Fear that she was worthless. Fear that she was nothing in the pack. Somewhere deep down inside, she really wanted to be part of something. Though her speech and her actions denied it, she really was just a wolf. She had emotions she couldn't deny. "If I really wanted to leave, Melandru, I would have done so long ago. You're right... You are right..." She let her words trail off into silence, as she pondered everything that was buzzing around her head. True, there was almost always alot buzzing around in her head. But now more than usual, she had alot going on in that brilliant head of hers. A sigh issued from her throat, though she cut it off as she heard a familliar voice. Instantly, she straightened herself, and glared over at the figure of Whisper. "So you decided not to leave?" She barked, her voice back to it's normal roughness, her facial expression one of dislike. Why? Did she really not like Whysper? Actually, she found the other wolf to be quite nice to be around. In truth, that's why she acted like she did around the other she-wolf. Taye wasn't very good at letting her mask drop. Trust was not a thing that came naturally to the she-wolf, and it was apparent in everything she did. Taye snorted. "Good. Melly's right. we're gonna need all hands on deck for this next little spat with my best pal and brother." In her own special way, Taye was trying to appologise for the things she had said all that time ago. Of course, she'd never admit it. [When I can't even love myself?]

Melandru formed a slow, rare smile as Whysper came into view, and exchanged words with Taye. He could tell, somehow, that they were making an effort (somehow) to get along. The alpha returned Whysper's nudge with a lick of affection, hues glancing to Taye to see how she took this.

He resisted the urge to nuzzle her back- there was plenty of time to do that later. He had things to do, and this seemed a very prudent time to leave.

"Melly's glad you're fine now- I really have more than enough mad wolves in my pack. Somehow they all seem to keep slipping through the cracks." He flashed another smile in Taye's direction, proving that he was in a good mood, but had eyes only for Whysper. "I'll leave you two to catch up then, I must be going. Taye, Whysper, make sure to go to the pack meeting."

With that, Melandru flicked his ears in farewell, an odd habit of his, and turned to go. His retreating back could be seem long into the distance before it disappeared in the yellow hues of the Fehieh grasses.

Whysper looked to Taye as Melandru took flight. She shrugged as she was slightly unaware of where the meeting was going to be held, but she was smart, so she would figure all of this out. Watching her Alpha and mate slowly leave the scene in whole, she studied his features from behind. She wanted his pups to make the pack bigger and stronger. But there were already many members, but how loyal where they really? She had to exile Gorgon for crying outloud. But that was just one member out of many others.

Looking back to Taye, she offered a nicer smile.

Can't wait to get this meeting over, and out of the way.

Whysper hated meetings, and she was never good at speaking in front of others, unless she was really driven forth into it. She had to drive herself into it in order for it all to work out. She was good at pushing herself, setting personal goals, and rewards for herself, for doing so. She lightly rolled her shoulders into a shy shrug, toward Taye and turned away. She followed Melandru's direction leaving Taye to decide what she was going to do for herself.
