To the Vampires:
Valley County is usually rainy and foggy, making it the perfect spot for Vampires. Think 'Twilight' for those of you who've read it.
When Vampires do get exposed to the sunlight, they do not burn up and die. That is waaaaay old sci-fi. They're just a little more sensitive to it (kinda like having a hangover with no sunglasses)
Most of the vampires use animals for blood, but that is up to your chosing. But before killing off any characters you must gain their consent. Before turning someone into a vampire you must gain both mine and the other character's consent.
To kill a vampire, we're thinking of going with the classic steak through the heart thing because I am not creative enough right now to think of another way
When Vampires are overly hungary, they do not start turning all shriveled and stuff; Eww. They do become angrier though, and their eyes turn a dark black. They also find it harder to restrain themselves when around anything with blood.
When you bite a mortal, if you do not kill them, then they become a vampire (Do not do this unless you have consulted me and that character first!). It is a long painful process. Not everyone's gunna be signing up to become a vampire, so make it realistic (that goes for mortals too)
You live forever. It's up to you if you remember anything before you became a vampire.
Vampires do not sleep. They are not technically alive, so they don't have anything to replenish with rest. So, sorry for the fans of the coffins thing, but it's not needed. They don't really need anything humans do; including breathing.
Powers include extreme strength and speed. Immortals are naturally, unusually beautiful, graceful people. It's something given them to help lure their "victims" into a false sense of safety. They are very persuasive, ALMOST hypnotic and they have acute, sharpened senses.
They can see very, very well in the dark. Their eyes adjust easily. They also have a knack for blending in with shadows. They are very good hiders and even better actors. It's not hard for one of them to lie.
Since Vampires already have a rather large arsenal of powers, I don't think I'm going to go with the extra powers thing. But, I'm going to add to what you probabely normaly think about. They are very smart and their memories flawless. Their hearing and sense of smell are almost as good if not better than a dog's.
As far as fangs go: To be inconspicuous enough to blend in with the mortals, they wouldn't have fangs of the traditional sort. Sharper eye teeth maybe, but not fangs as you'd often think.
They are very light footed, able to walk in complete silence no matter where they are at. Just one more mechanism to help them "survive".
Despite their beauty and grace, others tend to avoid them at all costs.
I forgot to mention this when I was first making this, but after a couple of the same questions I thought I'd add it in now. Sorry, but vampires cannot have kids.
To the Witches:
No wands are typically used. Think more along the lines of Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage witch. A word, spell or a finger movement here or there and you've got what you call magic. Potions are also another form of magic.
Witches do not live forever, but they might as well. They live for 1 1/2 - 2 milleniums before being considered old. They do not appear to age much.
You cannot LEARN to be a witch. You are one by birth and develop your powers over the course of your lifetime. So that means a bit of extra schooling for witches.
Very powerful witches do have extra powers beyond being able to make potions and say spells. For example, Marcus, since he is one of the leaders, will have two: Power over the weather and electricity. Others will have only one.
Witches' ability is decided by birth. Some have more than others. It's all in the bloodline.
They, like vampires, are naturally beautiful. They too have a natural grace about them, but it's not quite the grace the vampires are armed with. Despite their beauty and grace, others avoid them at all costs.
And now the humans:
You do not know about the reality of witches and vampires! To know would be horrid for you, trust me. A few of you might find out on occasion but as I just said, t'won't be good.
To the few that are going to be dragged into the war, once you do know, you are A) in danger, and 2) to be sworn to secrecy
You can go into the Vampires'/Witches' mansions, but be aware.
To All:
Remember, everything has a consequence! If you sneak into the Vampire's layer when they are hungry and agitated, you may become lunch. If you are turned into a vampire, you remain that way. If you die, then you stay that way.

That doesn't just go for the mythical stuff though. This is still a highschool roleplay. You're actions with drugs, sex, and alcohol will also have consequences. Sorry babes, no one is perfect, not even in RP.
