To the untrained eye, Valley High would look like any normal, clique crazed school. But within those cliques lies more than your usual secrets. There is a whole group of Vampires and Witches wandering hidden in Valley County, attending Valley Highschool!

They are also knee-deep in an on going war. The Vampires hate the witches and the witches hate the vampires; an old, old prejudice. They stay out of eachothers way and territory, or else they know it means full out war. In their little game, mortals are often involved. Now, everything is turned upside down when Aeidan Marks and Rory Anderson; leaders of the Vampires and Witches respectivaly, end up falling in love, and embark on a whirlwind romance. This stirs everything up. Everything goes now. Suddenly, what clique you are in is the last thing that matters; if only the mortals realized it.
Welcome to Face the Dawn. Canon characters are still needed. Feel free to take a look and fill out an application. We'd love to have you here. Be sure to read the rules and the FAQs.

NEWS! It's summer kids! And you know what that means...Parties! The Valley County Highschool is throwing one of the biggest. It'll be held at the Valley County lake...and to make up for missing Prom this year, they're holding a formal after the party at the Straton Hotel! All are invited.

Ask anyone. I'm sure they would agree....the night was absolutely perfect for trouble. Valley County was terminally damp anyways....but this particular night, there was an eerie fog about it. The omnipresent clouds over head seems thicker, casting even more of a shadow over the town and the scent of post-rain filled the air. Some would find it beautiful. Some would find it annoying. Most would find it terrifying. Who knew what was lurking in the fog? Who knew what could come of the darkness. If they only knew.

To most, these fears were nothing more than irrational, childhood rooted fears of the dark or of the fog. It was rather lucky that they didn't know the truth behind the tall figure lurking around the Valley County graveyard, his sillhouette shrouded in mist, making him more glorious yet more frightening than usual. Hunter Van Dorple had spent the last few centuries attempting to manipulate the world around him, especially the Vampire coven he belonged to. He was just fine with his second in command status, his best friend their leader. But a lot of times, he took things into his own hands...especially when it came to Witches.

The Vampires were not the only Immortals hiding out in Valley County. It was odd how they'd both had the same idea. Hiding in plain sight. No one would ever guess who they really were and yet they still got to live normally....whatever normal for an Immortal, unnatural creature was. Ask any Vampire and they'd all agree on the spot that the Witches were much more unnatural and loathesome than they. Yes, Valley County had an infestation of Witches. Lucky Vampires.

A half-scoff, half-sigh escaped Hunter's lips as he shook his head, sliding off the top of the gravestone he was perched on, his light gaze scanning the grounds. It appeared empty other than his presence, something he enjoyed very much. He loved being alone. The silence was much more soothing than the voices of his usual companions. Especially then. He'd run into one of the witches that very day: Aurora Anderson. Out of all the witches he'd come across, she bugged him the most. No contest. Seeing her, let alone actually talking to her made his skin crawl....and they'd been assigned a class project together.

It made no sense in his mind why Vampires even had to go to school. They'd been around so long they'd lived the history the humans were taught. But Aiedan insisted it was for their teenager appearance, so they had to go. Ditching for one day wouldn't hurt anything though. Not when Hunter needed time to plan. To do the project, he and Aurora would probabely have to be alone. It'd be so, so easy to finally take her out. The leader of the witches. Gone like that. It was just too good.

A low, throaty chuckle, hardly audible, accopanied his thoughts as he shook his head again. There was no way it was going to be so easy. She was their leader for a reason. If only he'd had the chance to talk to Bella or Aiedan before he'd ditched. If they knew then they'd be able to help for sure. In fact, they'd be downright ecstatic.

"Dearest Hunter...You know it's not good to be skipping out on school." Came a female voice as Bella walked through the graveyard. Her eyes lingered on the gravestones that she passed, her fingers running along the top of them. She was always enchanted by the graveyard for some reason. Maybe it was because she knew that she would never be in one...well dead at least. She wasn't sure. But, anytime she needed sometime to think or be alone, this was where she ended up.

Actually, that was what she had been doing. She'd been hidden behind one of the bigger graves, her eyes closed and her mind gone. It was easy for her to hide, with her small figure she was almost sure that no one could find her. Unless by chance they had some sort of tracking or whatever, which actually meant maybe some of her coven could have found her. She knew that it wasn't that safe to be doing something like that with the witches around. But, alright, she actually didn't have too much problem with the witches, but they did irritate her so.

The only reason she was out of her hiding place was because she had heard Hunter's laugh. "We missed you." She finally said with a small smile on her lips as she finally stopped in front of Hunter, cocking her head to the side slightly as she watched him. These were those times that she wished she has some kind of mind reading. But, she didn't. "Why'd you leave so quickly? Didn't talk to any of us." Well, alright, she'd actually been hiding out behind the grave since after school, but that wasn't the whole point here...

"And what were you laughing about?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. What could Bella say? Along with the peace keeper, she was also the curious one. She wasn't the girl to just let something slip in front of her and not figure it out. It was just...well...her. Though she was sure that the coven was used to her trying to help out when she could. So, it didn't bother her as much as it had when the coven had first gotten together.

"Dearest Hunter...You know it's not good to be skipping out on school."

"Oh, and I was under the impression it was rather healthy," Hunter smirked, straightening up a little as a familiar female voice sounded from behind him. Bella. Ofcourse. He turned around, a small grin sliding over his pale features.

"We missed you. Why'd you leave so quickly? Didn't talk to any of us."

"Sorry," he mumbled, closing the space between them a little. He took a second, a spark of excitment flashing in his dark eyes; it'd been longer than usual since he'd hunted. "I had to get out of there. I also needed to talk to you and Aeidan, but planning was a bit more important. Bells, you're gonna love it." He leaned in, making sure no one could over hear; not that there was anyone to over hear. "I think I know a way to take out Rory Anderson," he whispered, excitment coloring his hushed tone.

He watched her carefully, waiting for some sort of expression other than curiosity to flicker across her face. Bella had a habit of hiding her feelings so you had to really know how to read her fast expressions.

"And what were you laughing about?"

He laughed again, his chuckle darker and lower than before. "The idiocy of my plan." He raised an eyebrow, backing up again. "The witches aren't so stupid they'll leave Rory alone with me I'm sure." He shook his head, cursing himself for actually liking the idea of Jaiden Evans accompanying Rory.

It wasn't HIS fault that the witch was unnaturally beautiful; even for an immortal.

"Oh, and I was under the impression it was rather healthy."

Bella laughed, shaking her head as she finally stopped, her hand still resting on one of the headstones. "Well, for us it might be healthier." She said, looking away for a second with a small sigh. She glanced back at him as he turned and she smiled once again.

"I had to get out of there. I also needed to talk to you and Aeidan, but planning was a bit more important. Bells, you're gonna love it. I think I know a way to take out Rory Anderson."

She listened as he said that he had to plan before he could talk to her and Aiedan. She did get a confused look on her face, but it was replaced with a delightful look, but she quickly covered it up. "And you want to run that by Aiedan?" She asked, eyes flashing for a second before she took a breath and closed her eyes. "He's in love, Hunter. Aiedan is not going to like a plan about us breaking them up?" Could Bella actually break them up?

Wait. Bella practically hated Rory. They just did not click well. Maybe it was because vampires and witchers were not supposed to click. Yet, there went one of her best friends since childhood falling in love with one of them. Although she didn't like Aiedan like that, it pissed her off that he had to go and do that. "I..." She paused, trying to think of what she wanted to say to that. "What's your plan exactly?" She asked, smiling finally. She couldn't help it. She really didn't like Rory.

"The idiocy of my plan. The witches aren't so stupid they'll leave Rory alone with me I'm sure."

Once again, a look of confusion swept across her face, the smile falling. "Why would you and Rory be alone anyways?" She asked suddenly. She wasn't sure she could handle another vampire falling for a witch. Especially when Hunter was, like Aiedan, one of her best friends. Since they'd been in the coven, her and Hunter had been close.

"Well, for us it might be healthier. And you want to run that by Aiedan? He's in love, Hunter. Aiedan is not going to like a plan about us breaking them up?"

"Ofcourse," Hunter nodded, his tone smug. He raised an eyebrow, moving only slightly to sit on a nearby tombstone as Bella continued with a response. In love? "What? Who'd Aiedan fall for this time? Some other clan coming through? Or someone else we know?" He rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "I swear, Aiedan is my best friend, but he's gonna end up in some serious trouble one day falling for girls as much as he does."

"I...What's your plan exactly? Why would you and Rory be alone anyways?"

"OH!" Hunter shook his head again, laughing at himself as he jumped gracefully from the tombstone. To the humans of the Valley, the small group looked like dancers stuck in a small town. Grace was probabely the least of the "perks" given to the undead. Hunter hardly noticed it anymore. "I guess I forgot to tell you and Aiedan. My english teacher assigned a project yesterday. He also assigned partners. Guess who I got?" A wicked grin grew slowly, twisting his handsome features so that even his unnaturally dark eyes glinted.

"That's right. Little Miss Witch. I don't think that her coven's going to let her too near me alone though. So I'm going to have to think of something else....though I'm sure that Jaiden witch wouldn't mind....she doesn't seem to like her leader too much." Another gleam flashed in Hunter's eye as the unearthly beautiful witch's face entered his mind. His face fell though as another thought hit him. "No, that won't work either. She's "dating" the witch's twin brother." He scowled, crossing his arms as he leaned back against the cold stone behind him.

Ofcourse, he didn't want, nor did he expect, the game to be so easy. It'd be no fun, practically a waste of time to take out the witch if it wasn't for the challenge.

(ooc) Since we have no Aiedan, we figured he wasn't in love with Mady yet. They need to "meet" first.

OOC: Heyyyy. That means I got an unfair post!!!

BIC:
"What? Who'd Aiedan fall for this time? Some other clan coming through? Or someone else we know? I swear, Aiedan is my best friend, but he's gonna end up in some serious trouble one day falling for girls as much as he does."

Bella shrugged her shoulders. "I thought he was in love. Hm. Shows what a friend I am I guess." She said, smiling lightly as she turned and started tracing the tombstone that was to the side of her. She bent down and started to trace the name. She was sure that Hunter was used to her behavior in a graveyard. It seemed strange, but she guessed it was just her. "Who knows what Aiedan will do these days. He'd fall in love with a hamster for all we know." She joked.

"I guess I forgot to tell you and Aiedan. My english teacher assigned a project yesterday. He also assigned partners. Guess who I got? That's right. Little Miss Witch. I don't think that her coven's going to let her too near me alone though. So I'm going to have to think of something else....though I'm sure that Jaiden witch wouldn't mind....she doesn't seem to like her leader too much. No, that won't work either. She's "dating" the witch's twin brother."

"Little Miss Witch, huh? That really should be interesting." She commented, standing up after she was done tracing the name on it and then turning and sitting up on it. She watched him as he plotted out loud. "I highly doubt they'll leave you two alone like that...They might act stupid, but I have a feeling that they aren't..." She said sadly, sighing as if it depressed her.

She raised an eyebrow when he brought up Jaiden and tried hard to not let the frown take over. His eyes always sparkled when he started to talk about her and that definatly was one of the only things that could get Bella worked up. She really hated being the one to fall for the guy who liked someone else. And a witch on top of that! "You would know." She muttered, glancing down at the tombstone again and running her hand along the cold marble.

OOC: Kidding!
