Something wicked this way comes!

There's not too much of a plot right now unfortunately, but feel free to suggest something new.

Until recently a very quiet and peaceful town, Morlon was suddenly struck by a wave of kidnappings, targeting children, adults and old people alike. Nobody knows why or where they were taken, and everyone fears they might be the next target. Consequently, many have secluded themselves in their own homes and only emerge out a few times a week to resupply their stocks.
The town's industry, shattered a few years ago with the explosion at the power plant, went straight downhill and nobody seemed to be able to revive it- or maybe they weren't allowed to. The local police and fire brigade never seemed to pay much attention to the explosion, although it left half of the people in Morlon without a job.
People have left the town more and more since, and the proud city that Morlon once was seems to be slowly turning into a ghost town. With less than a tenth of its original population, friendships have been broken and confidence is rarely noticed between members of different families. As one of the few inhabitants still left, what course of action will you take?
