FFS Season 5 Char Suggestions

Here we are! FF Survivor Season 5 won't be starting for quite a while, but we're going to start taking suggestions of characters.

Just so everyone knows, the game will be run like the older seasons, where votes are counted, and characters are booted. Last season's system was unpopular due to heavy reading and complicated events. That will be abandoned, as it seems most everyone enjoyed themselves in the old seasons.

As a note, the following characters can't be selected, as they have appeared in previous survivor seasons. Here are the ones that can't be picked.

Chun Li would be a nelly no-no, even if a cameo appearance did exist.

Of the others, the following will be eligible choices:

Penelo (FFXII)
Zidane (FF9)


Mogri (Mog) has been used before, in FFS3 I believe. It is true that that's only the one from FF6, but the ones in other games are usually not well-defined characters, but rather a general race of animals.

As for the summons/mascots, we'll have to decide whether we can include them. I'd be against it in general, ONLY because they have no personality that can be defined. They have no lines (in general), and so we can't really have much of a description of how they would play. I think the same would apply to normal monsters. But, if people think they could be used, I'd be willing.

I'm not sure about the summons thing. Adam's right that they don't have much personality, we'd probably just end up all making our own ideas of what one would be like. I don't know if that would be that big of a problem though.

Well I would say that we should get this new FF Survivor under way, but we may still need to wait for others to start showing up here on a fairly regular basis..
