To stir up some discussion, I was wondering what particular manga titles you have been reading and collecting.

I've been a busy manga purchaser and downloader. Right now, I'm focused on DearS, some Gundam titles, Tsubasa, Bleach and Negima. I'm probably gonna grab the Maburaho manga too when I find it again. I've also nabbed a few Street Fighter and SVC Chaos comics... even though it's technically not manga. ^^;

And here's a question for you. Are there any particular manga titles that you want to see turned into an anime? I would like to see a proper OVA series for the Gundam Seed Astray manga series rather than those tiny OVA clips. I mean, if a small 12 episode OVA series can be made for DearS, Astray should have the same treatment.

I have a lot of scanlated manga I read. The ones I have are: 666 Satan, Black Cat, Bleach, Bobobo-bo-bo-bobo, Death Note, Fist of the North Star, GTO, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Kamen Rider SPIRITS, King of Thorns, KOF Kyo, Mr. Fullswing, One Piece, Tende Freeze and Zombie Powder. All of those mangas rule, and I would suggest checking them out.

I've been reading Death Note, Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo, Rurouni Kenshin, and all the manga in Shonen Jump, minus Hikaru no Go. I'd buy the novels more often, but I'm broke and cannot.

My god, the english version of Bobobo sucks cock. They changed names for no real reason (Don Pachi is now Poppa Rocks.... what?), took out most of the cussing, etc. Also, check out the English version of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It's a pretty faithful adaption of the amazing Japanese version.

It's common for English adapters to change certain names in manga/anime for some obvious reasons (like changing Devil Gundam to Dark Gundam) and whenever they make a weird change like VM mentioned, it just leaves you scratching your head.

That's a funny name...Bobobo-Bob Bo-Bobo.

You guys should also check out Yakitate! Japan. It's very interesting for a series about food. The story revolves around a boy named Azuma Kazuma whose goal is to make a national bread for Japan (like there is French bread or German bread). He tries different variants of "Ja-pan" (pan means bread in case you don't know) and people have outrageous reactions to the different types. It is really funny and I highly recommend it.

Considering how you were right on the mark with Bleach back in February, I'll try and find a scanlation of the manga later after exams.

Bleach is pretty good, but it gets a little old. I really liked it at first, but as the series went on it got boring. It seems like every fucking person has some sort of power. I like it, but it just gets repetitive. While on the subject of Bleach, I feel that both Bleach and Naruto are highly overrated. But hey, maybe that's just me.

You do have a point, VM. The latest Bleach chapters have Karin, Keigo (or is it Mizuiro?) and Tatsuki start being able to see Shinigami. Their power is probably awakened by Ichigo's unconscious leaking of his own power (like what happened to Orihime and Chad). But I'm still following it.

I never got into Naruto until I watched the first episode (dubbed). I still tune in from time to time but I haven't gotten into things there.

The Naruto dub blows. Naruto's voice is really annoying and they cut out a lot. The One Piece sub sucks even harded (Luffy sounds like a pre-pubescent boy!), so I try to avoid both. Sorry if I sound like some fucking fanboy, but it's true. But the Adult Swim dubs are pretty good.

As for Bleach, the entire "subconcious leaking of power" thing gets a little old. It seems like anyone that even gets close to Ichigo gets some sort of magic power thing. I kind of stopped reading after that red haired girl got the dumb "Magical Pixies" power or whatever.

In any case, I'll probably continue reading the manga to see where the author is going with his new Hollows.

On another interesting note, I seriously want to see what Ikkaku's Bankai is like.

I hate to sort of change the subject, but where did you get the SVC comics?
