Updates and Announcements
May 25 : I know it's been a minute for updates. I apologize. But really, cut me some slack, it been hectic lately and more than anything, the internet is a problem. Honestly, I didn't think internet this slow existed anymore. It literally takes anywhere from 5-20 seconds for EVERY SINGLE PAGE to load. When you think about how often you click around the web, that slows things down a lot. So in the next couple of days I'll be doing some major work with the site, but still, like I said, cut me some slack.

Also notice the season has been changed and it is now fall.

May 9 : The Roll Call is over and all the characters that did not reply have been deleted. Unfortunately, in my fury of deletion, I think I may have deleted some new members that hadn't gotten a chance to reply yet. If that is the case for you, I sincerely apologize, please feel free to resign up. It was not my intention to delete any of the new members.
But, for those of you that were not new and did not reply you have been deleted. You are welcome to rejoin but we do expect activity here. Thank you.
One last thing, a semi-major announcement can be found here.

May 1 : Go here. It's a roll call for the site, if you don't reply in one week, your account is gonna go kaput.

Happy Birthday to Me!! Sorry guys. Ha. But it's my BIRTHDAY! Whoooooooot. So I replied to one of my threads, but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. Sorry. But, rest assured, I don't work until 5 tomorrow, so they'll be up. I promise.

This was suppose to be dangerous, a real experiance. One wrong step and that could be it, life over. Sadly, it really didn't feel like it. Dust took each step without so much as a thought, enjoying the view more than the waiting adrenaline when he would slip and have to face the current of the river. What a sight it was too, especially with the sun rising in the east. It had taken the over-sized wolf a day or two to reach the 'famous' Sky's Lane, but no one was complaining. Coming here was a good workout, it was also an interesting place to be. Some wolves were too scared to even come up this way, luckily, Dust wasn't like most wolves. He could happily live up here for a few days before heading back to civilization without even the slightest of concerns.

'Not a bad place to fish either...' Land prey was comming easily to Dust now-a-days, but fishing was still a thrill in some ways. Fishing in rapids could be considered one of those thrills.

"Not that I agree..." the large, mountain of a wolf grinned lightly to himself as the soft words hit his ears. Dust didn't even need to turn around to know that his spirit guide, Caidy, was behind him. It was somewhat weird to hear her voice though, she hadn't spoken to him in such a long time. This made Dust a bit lonely, but he wasn't mad enough to ignore his friend as she had to him.

Turning around, Dust was now almost chest to face with a small ocelot. Her expression showing a bit of annoyance. She didn't like Dust doing this kind of stuff, but the brute wouldn't be stopped. "Nice of you to join me," the brute said this with a grin. Caidy just stared on. She didn't say anything afterward, just flicked her ear. Shrugging, Dust turned back around to move on over the sleak rocks near the edge of the river. "Coming?" Dust looked back once more to see what Caidy would say, but she wasn't there.

'Oh well, just means I get to keep all of the bragging rights...'

It’s too dangerous. You’ll get hurt. Don’t go there. He had tried everything to get her to stay back where it was safe beside the lake where the chances of her getting injured were relatively slim. She, on the other hand, wasn’t going to have any of it. The rapids section of the river was supposed to be a sight to see, and Ami was all for sight seeing. She’d already been there a while, but it felt like Webb was stopping her from doing much exploring, telling her this was too dangerous or that could get her hurt. She had thought for a second to leave him behind while she ventured off on her own, but that would probably be the same as diving into this supposedly rough river. He had to go, and she only hoped he wouldn’t try talking her out of it.

So far, though they had barely gone that far from the lake, Webb had been silent, perched somewhere near her shoulders. He was sitting so still at the moment she couldn’t tell where exactly he was anymore, or even if he was still there, but she hoped he was. Why would he just suddenly decide to leave after so long sticking with her and her odd ways? For the first time, she felt more like striking up the conversation instead of waiting for him to do it, since this quietness was unusual behavior for him. She turned her head, her multi-colored eyes trying to fix on the black spider sitting somewhere upon her back. Letting out a soft whine, she rolled her shoulders as she walked, hoping to perhaps unsettle him enough to figure out where he was standing.

Stop it, Ami. I’m not talking to you until you turn around. So he was really that upset about her deciding to go along this way? She had already told herself she wasn’t going to go for a swim, or even touch the water at all, but for some reason Webb apparently thought she would dive right in. With another pleading whine, Ami lowered her head and drooped her body, looking very much saddened by the spider’s statement, and she was though her gesture was over exaggerated. Nope, not until you turn around, was all the bug replied. Her gray tail gave an agitated whip before falling still against her legs, her ears drooping now along with the rest of her. He didn’t like to see her upset, right? How long before he would break?

She felt him moving then, and she stopped walking in the awkward crouch she had dropped herself into, still keeping her body sort of bent as she waited for the spider to speak again. Her fur tickled along her shoulder blades and up the back of her neck, along the top of her head, and down her nose where she had to cross her eyes slightly to see him. You promise you won’t get in the water? The gray wolf nodded her head slowly, not wishing to upset the little bug from his position. And you won't get too close? Another nod. He seemed to sit and look at her for a moment, and Ami was certain he would stick with his anger instead of giving in, but he sighed and climbed back on top of her head. Alright, but we can’t make a whole day of it.

Despite the fact she had a passenger, Amitola gave a hop in place, picking up her stride to make up for the time she had taken in talking with her friend. A bright smile stretched across her face, her colorful eyes seeming to reflect her joy at having company while on her trip to see the Sky’s Lane in all its glory. The thought of actually seeing that section of the river, so well known in these parts, drove her on, and she hoped the sight wouldn’t disappoint her. Occasionally Webb would slip her a little reminder - Watch your step. It’s wet there. The stone on your right. - to ensure she would reach her destination safely, so she didn’t notice that there was anyone else around, or that she had practically reached her destination, since she was keeping her gaze on the wet stones to prevent the slip up Webb seemed to be expecting.

*slaps self* I should've had this done like... three, four days ago. I is sorry for having to keep you waiting sad.gif

It didn’t take much for Dust to get a bit cocky over the slippery rocks. Every step could be his last, but that didn’t matter. This was easy, that was what he thought at least. Nothing will happen, at least, not something that will have him killed. Though this was hard to believe that ‘nothing’ could go wrong, it wasn’t like very many cared whether or not the large brute got hurt or not. Still, Caidy, though hidden from view, was there jabbing at his mind when anything reckless occurred. Dust kept laughing to himself whenever Caidy freaked out. It lightened the mood, keeping Dust vibrate.

”You’re going to kill us…”
’I’m not going to die’
”Yes, you WILL.” Once again, Dust snorted out a laughter.

The sun was now higher up in the sky, not by much, but enough to where it wasn’t really dawn anymore. The cool, slick rocks below the brute’s paws started to warm up, along with Dust’s back, which was turned toward the sun. Small clouds dotted the bluing sky, and the wolf had a moment over what the clouds were. The thoughts that went through his head were pupish, but not all of it was ludicrous.

It was then that the large brute noticed the female wolf a few feet in front of him. She had her head down, watching the ground, and it seemed as if she hadn’t seen him yet. It was hard to tell whether her not seeing the giant yet was a good or bad thing and Dust had the instinct to start turning around right now. ’No point in over staying my welcome.’ Sadly, before the great grey wolf could turn towards his makeshift den his paw caught on a rock and it went flying toward the rover, making a bit of sound. Quickly recovering, and repositioning his footing, Dust turned green eyes toward the other wolf. His face masked like stone letting every emotion escape from the brute’s expression.

OOC: It's alright. ^^ Sorry I'll be gone on vacation for a while. x.X I'll reply again when I get back.

She was growing so accustomed to the spider saying her name to warn her about a particularly slippering rock that when he began to say it more persistantly, she frowned before she thought about why he continued to repeat himself. Ami. Ami. Ami. Look. Finally, as Webb insistently instructed, the gray wolf lifted her head and gaze from the rocky path alongside the river to see what all the fuss was about, and was admittedly surprised. The river was supposed to be a dangerous place, quicker to take than give, and she hadn't truly thought anyone else would dare to see it. It was apparent she had been wrong in her assumption.

The wolf standing before her looked to be twice her size, but even she knew that thought was stretching it. He was large indeed, but maybe only very close to being double her size. He was pleasing to the eye with his unique colored coat of fur, Ami's multi-colored eyes shifting over him quickly before looking at his own. Green, made even more striking by the black masklike band of black fur that surrounded them. His features, which looked like they could be rather friendly, were at the moment set like stone, watching her as if intently awaiting some sort of reaction from her. Was it because he had slipped and nearly fallen, or because she had finally come upon him?

Unsure, but hardly caring, Amitola quickly smiled a friendly, warm grin that accompanied a gentle wag of her tail. Large or not, the wolf before her didn't look about to attack her, nor very much annoyed with her just being in the same general area as himself, so both were good signs as far as she was concerned. That was awfully close, Webb commented more to just Ami, shifting atop her head to sit before her ear. It gave a soft twitch as she spider's movement tickled her fur, though not nearly strong enough to upset him from his place. Her rainbow colored eyes were fixed brightly on the wolf, as was her smile, as she waited to see how he would take to her friendly approach.
