[[OOC; Random title ^-^]] Elys was glad she finally had time to get outside. But now she had to focus on getting out of the inn and getting a paying job. She considered being a farmer, but she shook her head to it. "I can't afford that quite yet." She said to herself, laying down in the tall grass. She looked up at the fluffy clouds that slowly moved across the sky. They looked almost fake, the way they were moving, and nothing was being deformed. Normally the clouds would look like cotten being torn apart as it slowly shuffled its way through the blue sky. Elys shuddered at the thought of the mayor working as shopkeeper, but Elys somehow knew that she wouldn't be quite that desperate. Elys thought of her family. They all perished in the fire... Elys thought, a tinge of sadness poking her. Shaking the thought off, Elys went back to thinking about her occupation. |

Jogging, Davian's face was dripping with sweat. He contemplated continuing on without a break, but decided not to. He needed the excercise, but he didn't need to exhaust himself too fully. Slowing down and eventually coming to an abrupt stop, Davian realized he was in a meadow. He had been so tuned on his thoughts of the day that he hadn't noticed where he was jogging to. And, as luck would have it, somebody was near by.
Walking over to her and pointedly making noise, as not to frighten her, Dae say's to her, "Hello! You look familiar, have I met you before?" Davian racked his memory, and thought of the pictures and posters he had seen various places throughout the village. He couldn't place his finger exactly on why he had seen her around before. Granted, it wasn't a large village, but he had made it a point to remember her face. |

Elys looked up, a bit startled, but nothing noticable. "Oh, hi...hmmm..." she said, thinking about what he'd said. "No, I don't think I've ever seen you before...are you new to the village?" She asked, almost positive she'd never seen him before. The sun had warmed her, so she felt the need to lay back down. It was so relaxing, after all. She wondered if he was new, or just was passing by the village. After all, she'd just finished building the village. |

Davian nodded, and all of a sudden noticed the clouds. Even they were surreal in this place, beautiful and perfect in the sky. "Yes, I'm new. Well, a few day's. I haven't made a mark, yet," he said, smiling widely.
He looked into her eyes, and then said, "I was just jogging, and decided to take a break. Cloud-gazing?" he asked. |

Elys nodded.
"Yeah. It's so relaxing here." She replied. Birds twittered in the distance, and the clouds slowly lugged themselves to the other side of the sky. She plucked a long strand of grass and ran her fingers over it. She then dropped it, letting it flutter to the ground. Sitting up, Elys stretched. [OOC;// Writer's block >_<] |

Davian looked up in the sky, at the sun, and judged that it was nearing midday. The hand that he put on his stomach vibrated when his stomach rumbled with hunger, but luckily it only made a low humming noise. He readjusted his leather sidebag, the one that he always carried with him no matter what, on his shoulder. It's weight was beginning to get uncomfortable, as he had jogged with it and then been standing around with it all day. He didn't dare put it down as to not give the person in front of him the impression he had all of the time in the world.
"Yes, it's very relaxing. You still look familiar to me, though, I still can't tell why." |

Elys looked over to him, and replayed his words over in her head--though she was focusing on the sound of his voice rather than what he'd said.
"Hmm..." Elys murmured, looking down at the ground, twisting her mouth into a confused but thoughtful position. "I don't recognize you. Perhaps you've simply heard me before. Ah! Maybe my name would jog your memory. I'm Elys, the mayor here at Elmwood. But don't think much of it." |

Davian nodded, his smile showing complete recognition. "Yes, that's it. Somebody showed me who you were when I first came here, a day or so ago." He nodded again, and kind of looked around anxiously. He hated when things were kind of stale and conversation wasn't going, and he never was good at getting it going.
"So, is it hard being Mayor? I'd imagine it'd be both easy and hard, at times," he said, taking a moment to think of certain obligations one would have as Mayor and the pitfalls of being one. Pros and con's nearly always balanced eachother. Nearly. |

"Actually, you're right. It's easy when all I have to do is make sure the village is ok, but hard if, say the village were to be on fire. I would have to make all the descisions." She replied, imagining the village on fire and shuddering. But she knew that with not many villagers in town, her descisions wouldn't need to come...as much.
