This is a topic to ask about our rules, or a place to post rules you think we should add.

I think EC should block links to sites using bad words to keep it 'clean'. For example, Kody's forum has the "F Word" used alot of times and the link should be blocked. Just my opinion though

I disagree, invisionfree standards of "family friendly" don't so much pertain to cursing. It appears to be more related to the views of the board admin, otherwise there wouldn't be much of a need for the word filter. I believe more stress should be placed on members to have the mature to handle the responsibility that comes with the right to cuss. personal responsibility should be taken into account, instead of just accommodating. plus if it's in a link it should be accepted, the language isn't posted directly on this website. besides foul language isn't the worst thing in the world, it's pretty mild. if it's in a link maybe it should contain a warning, but that seems to be about as far as it goes. it's seems like more and more of the boards i'm joining are imposing unnecessary language rules. |
