This forum is fairly freeform. So, if you are applying to be a leader, I need you to include your plans for your nation or organization. The only restrictions are that the King of Y'mir needs to be dead set on capturing those with guardians spirits and the renegades need to oppose the King of Y'mir. Otherwise, I'm relying on those who fill in the leader positions to help give the plot a bit of a boost. (Its rather vague...) Another position open is the King's bounty hunter of sorts who struggles to maintain his free will because he has a connection with a spirit that was forced upon him, and he cannot break it without killing himself. So, that is another option. Also, as an extra note on guardian spirits, they take on the appearance that they had when they died. They cannot alter it... though they do have a bit of an ethereal, misty tone to them. With the exception of those who have already bonded with a spirit, they can choose whether or not to be seen. Here are the positions still available: - The King of Y'mir
- The King of Le'lune
- The leader of The Theives Guild (Taken)
- The leader of the renegades (Taken)
- The bounty hunter
Thank you for your attention, that is all. -Site Admin

I would like to apply for the leader of the Thieves’ Guild. These are my plans for the guild. Feel free to change anything that doesn’t fit with the board.
The Thieves’ Guild has been running for almost three generations now. Before that, those talented in such arts as thievery and espionage usually acted alone or in small family groups mainly around Y’mir. This changed when an intelligent and ambitious young man, grown tired from the constant trends of the rich getting richer and the poor being pushed to the wayside, decided it was high time that the middle man get a say in the running of the nation. He put his great prowess in criminal mastermind to use and secretly established the Thieves’ Guild. It started out small and was only successful in petty burglary, but over time more and more skilled members were initiated into the guild and more money was acquired. Soon the small group of highwaymen became a world renowned organization.
The number of guild members has topped the thousands and yet somehow the guild still remains strong and secretive despite the number of people constantly trying to strike it down. Each new member is initiated in secret. You can’t just walk up to the guild hideout and ask to become a member. Don’t worry, if you want to be a member and you are proven worthy, the guild will find you. Each member is given a unique codename to protect their families and function as an easily substituted identity. The codenames are random and can be changed at any time if an outsider finds out about it. Those who have never had to change their codename are usually the better at what they do.
As far as the guild ethic goes, it used to be sort of a Robin Hood-esque initiative, but as time went on it became more like a mercenary camp. Let’s just face it, stealing from the rich is good and all but why do all that work when the rich will give you more money to do basically the same thing to someone else? Just like those who wish to join, those wish to hire the Thieves’ Guild need only to wait. They’ll find you. There are three sects to the guild and each can be bought out for a price.
Thievery Sect: This is the largest of the three sects and the most diverse. This sect holds everything from cutpurses to jewel thieves and everything in between. Most of the income for the guild is made by the thievery sect. Though the amount of money that can made from a single job is a whole lot less than can be made from either of the other two sects, the jobs are often faster and safer. As far as being hired out, thieves are ironically the least bought in the current age of murder and drama. They may be hired out in order to pull off any number of heists.
Espionage Sect: These are the spies, con artists and extortionists. They gather information about just about anyone and anything of importance. They are masters of disguise and deception. It is because of them that the organization is able to find new jobs and members without putting the guild at risk. Though there are various types of con artist that come out of the sect to earn money for the guild, this sect is mostly used as an intelligence network sometimes hired out to the kingdoms for their talents.
Assassin Sect: This is the group of contract killers and kidnappers. They are by far the most skilled in their field and are usually just as skilled in thievery and espionage. Unlike the other two sects, this sect does little for the guild itself. Sometimes a member has to be sent out to kill an outsider who has learned a little too much of the guild’s secrets or to save a member who may spill secrets under torture. Mostly they are bought out by the obscenely rich, freedom fighters or royalty.
Each sect is led by a sect leader who is the greatest in their field. These sect leaders are in turn lead by the guild master who only they know face-to-face and by codename. It is up to the sect leaders whether they hide their identities from the lower guild members or not. It would be very bad if a sect leader were assassinated and very, very bad if the guild master were, since these positions take years and years of training to fill.
Plot: Business has become complicated for the Thieves’ Guild in recent times. The Y’mir kingdom, which has been the guilds main source of revenue over the years, has been making some very difficult demands. The king has hired a whole platoon of assassins to help eradicate those with spirit guardians. The problem is that almost half the guild is made up of people with this gift, which is understandable since the guild is mainly made up of outcasts from society. This wouldn’t be so much of a problem (the guild has no problem with being labeled as hypocritical), but the espionage sect has informed the newly risen guild master that a band of freedom fighters calling themselves “The Renegades” has been pooling up resources in order to hire their help in the assassination, or at the very least, espionage of the king and kingdom of Y’mir. Then there is the wildcard, Le’lune, the mysterious country that the guild has recently infiltrated. Some heavy duty double-crossing and dangerous half loyalties are in store for them all. Who will come out on top?
